Hi! We are renting in al barari. Our villa will be ready in two or three weeks. We were told that the grocery store would be ready in a matter of months and the man made motes would be full and flowing as well. We are new to Dubai, one month to be exact, we have three two and a half year olds, so we are looking to meet new faces! Best wishes on finding a home! Hi mom*3 may i have your email address? i would like to ask you some more questions ;) tks in advance, [email protected] edited by ludubai on 30/06/2011

we are just looking for a house in al barari and we don't know if the village boutique or some shopping area it is already oppening in the comunitty. Do you know familys who live there ? Who can give me some information? tks a lot, xoxo Hi WBusy, I live there with my family. We purchased the villa in 2006 and although it may have taken a little bit due to obvious reasons. However the villa's are VERY well made and the finishings are impressive. There is a carrefour opening up on the same road as al barari, where the emirates staff buildings are. As well as a community center which will take about a year. It seems a bit of a distance to drive, however mall of the emirates is only 10-15 minutes away, mirdiff is about 15 minutes away, ibn battuta about 20 minutes. Arabian Ranches is a much older community with a lot of facilities, however when it first started it also had absolutely nothing. The good thing about barari is the absolute peace and quiet you get when living. There are also very spacious bedrooms and full ensuite bathrooms. I am really glad we moved in. We had other options but ended up choosing this. wbusy replied : Looking at Al Barari that villa complex outside of Dubai, near global village I think? Has anyone else been out there or live there? DH feels the villas are very well made, which we all know is difficult to find here, the finishings look good etc etc. but I am worried about being so far out and without any amenities. Of course they tell you about all the FAB things they are going to build but we all know I could be a grandmother before they open even a shopping market. What are your opinions about living in that area? Is space and a well build villa worth the distance, we will feel totally detached? I know a lot of people live in the arabian ranches and green community, both gorgeous and with many more amenities but also far out is that a better option? Thanks for any advice! edited by ludubai on 29/06/2011
