There is also a shop in the Green community which sells lovely candles. These are also soy, I think and have really great scents. They also come in different sizes and are very reasonable compared to other similar makes. The shop is called Maison something? next to Chillis

hi amanda123 good luck with getting your entitlement. It really stinks that such a large international company as my DH tries to get away with giving nothing, it makes you want to expose them to the press in the Uk about how they really treat their employees. It's 2 weeks on Tuesday and as of yet hasn't had anything in writing or even heard from HR I wish you lots of luck in the future and hope that better thing will come your way.

Hi amanda123 sorry to hear about your situation, we are just going through my DH being laid off, only heard last week so still trying to get head round it. we also want to stay in Dubai so haven't even thought about those complications yet so am interested to hear answers. Thanks ishehere I thought the Labour Law did not recognise redundancy and that you could only be terminated for work reasons. Therefore he is being arbitrarily dismissed, and entitled to compensation. The company is not closing down, and actually while looking for a new job I found a job vacancy for his company, however it was for a different position to his. Any more thoughts from anyone.
