After having a response from Sidra last week I have now received an email stating that: lthough you have been recommended for a CN position Peds Homecare, we have actually filled our current vacancies & are waiting approval of further FTEs/lines. We therefore need to waitlist you until we have this approval or a withdrawal of a candidate in process.
Rest assured that we still do not have an opening date for the hospital & are not expecting to be onboarding Clinical Nurses this year.
Somewhat confused as to why they would even state that I was successful and now everything has changed. but thought for all you registered nurses this gives you a definite that Sidra will not open this year instead of listening to the press -
feeling very deflated :(
MARDOL - thank you so much for replying to my message it was great to get some clarity on the situation - I have read lots on here and understand the problems that are faced with delay in opening as I was told in my interview they were aiming for either May 2016 or possibly later - I would like it earlier but good things come to those who wait, and what an opportunity. please keep posting people everyones stories and insights in SIdra are very valuable
Can someone please confirm: I have had my Skype interview with Sidra and have just received this very general email : We are pleased to inform you that you have interviewed successfully and are therefore recommended for a position at Sidra Medical & Research Center.
This is not an offer of employment and you should not resign from your current employment or make any other arrangements until you are told to do so by Sidra. We will shortly be sending you another email outlining our recruitment process and requesting various documents and paperwork

I had a telephone interview back in October 2014 - got moved to a different nursing job - got interviewed 29/01/15 on SKYPE for a paeds nursing position by two different departments and they said if I was successful they would choose which area I would go to - however they said that Sidra was not looking
to be opened until March with the high chance of it being later than this :(
it has been such a long process does any one have anymore information - does this sound right ????? as it has gone very quiet on here
