Hi there, sorry for the late reply, (this forum does not send email notifications). Great to hear you have moved in! There are many kids in BHAR that go to Sherborne. I haven't heard of teenage babysitting services - I suggest you join the Beverly Hills Al Rayyan residents facebook page to ask questions.

I have heard living at the pearl has alot of good things in terms of lifestyle; but the traffic getting in and out is a nightmare. My kids are at Sherborne and we live in Beverly Hills Al Rayyan - the journey is 15 mins. From Al Waab it will be slighly longer.

Hi there, I have used Crown and Allied Pickfords for international moves and couldn't fault neither of them. Both very professional, packing and unpacking was excellent and door to door service great. Good luck with your move!

Hi Sarah333, Getting a job here is easy if you have the right qualifications, and since you will be sponsered by your husband that is favourable to an employee. What you do need to look into is getting your education qualifiactions legalized / authenticated from the issuing university. Also a police clearance certificate will be required and most employees require this from your home country. Doing those from home is a lot less of a headache if you need to go through the process from here.

Hi Westaussie! We are also from Australia and moving next month. I was wondering how the commute is from Al Jazi Gardens to Sherborne school? How long does it take? Thanks!

Thankyou everyone for your comments. Things are still moving on slowly at home with the move, although organising the packing and moving is always busy times. So far, I'm a little more relaxed as I have places at the Pearling Season school - they have asked to pay a holding fee (4,000 qtr each child). The place is subject to an interview and assessment which will be done when we get there in August. I don't like my chances with any of the other schools so we are going to pay the money and hopefully my kids will be happy there. I have researched the forum threads and heard good things.

Thanks guys, yes probably looking at coming late july or early August. I have applied for schools and understand it's an uphill battle. My husbands company stated that our RP will only take about 3 weeks to issue (6 months of bank statements not required).

thanks Mrs Pink and Babysoosoo. We are coming from Sydney and have a 10 yo girl and 7 yo boy. I guess it will be tough for them during the summer. If we come in August still hot right? I guess this is the latest I can arrive as school starts September.
