Thanks English Lady for the input. I do realize it is going to be different than it is here ( he is free to go wherever he wants, big garden jungle outside , lots of streetdogs to play with ) it is going to be an adjustment to us too , and I am sure I will curse at times BUT he is family and belongs with us so is coming and we all will have to adjust. I am sort of hoping that in Al Wakra there might me more opportunity for us to walk him than in Doha self. But I might be mistaken. Also I am worried about all the poisening going on. :-) We are thinking of getting him a girlfriend at the local dog rescue center so he is not alone. Thank you for your thinking along with all our decision making. :-)

Thank you all for your input. @RachelA I have to clarify that we are offered school housing at their teachers accomodation but because we do have a dog we would like to look into a "house" so not to hinder other people. They have agreed on the possibility of finding a home for us. You are right we do have to clarify what we will receive or how they would see that set up actually. They are very flexible and open in the comunication and putting no pressure on us deciding...just feel that it is not fair on them to drag this out to much. Good other points there about temperary accomodation and especially the one about the healthinsurance. THANKS! I would have taken hat one for granteed as that is what we have now. I am coming with a friend - female- and we will be sharing the house. We will both be working at the school and both entitled to flights anually. I will get clarified if we also get a flight out at beginning and end of contract as I guess that is slightly different. The package isnt fantastic but if I was into teaching for the money I would have given up long ago ;-). It seems like a nice school where there is a lot to learn and grow and it has ( as it seems ) fantastic resources. And I really liked the people I interviewed with.

Thanks DebK I know! that is exactly what we are trying to balance out. Bad things happen everywhere. So we have to keep things in perspective. But sometimes that is hard if you are not there and " feel" the vibe yourself. About the roaches I am very very happy to hear. Without having to tell me what you pay for rent, is that roach free living a possibility for people on a low rent? We will be getting some of the rent payed but I have no idea how much yet and what we would be able to afford. It all seems sooooo expensive ( at the moment we pay the equivalent of 2.500 QaR!!! For a 3 bedroom house in the jungle) But we are ready for a new adventure and opera, ballet, desert and movies sound soooo exciting! .
