I am really sorry to hear that your daughter is being bullied at school. Two years is a considerably long time for a young child..Action needs to the to be taken directly with the Head of the school, to have any impact. We do have personal experience of this at a School in this region. It happened to our DS in yr 7 & 8..we were unaware for 2 terms apart from his behaviour being very unpredictable, a lot of anger which we couldnt pinpoint. The abuse was mainly verbal but some physical from a gang of boys but one ringleader. I do not want to go into this in a forum, but lets just say, Im sure he will never forget it, certainly we wont! The only way we managed to find out what happened was to ask him to write it down as he was unable to verbalise it. We were shocked and stunned at the long list of abuse, mainly verbal. We praised him for restraining himself from physically retaliating (as would have happened years ago in schools). One of the physical abuses had been filmed and put out on YouTube! which was later removed, I think the boys thought it funny! We went to the school with the letter...they interviewed all parties concerned aswell as the whole class. Although the head (who we didnt meet), did appear to be more concerned about the School logo appearing on Youtube which was filtered back to us as parents! rather than our child. Eventually it stopped...maturity has a lot to do with it I think...But even now when I see the main ringleader it makes my stomach churn! His parents were called into the school, and apprently were enlightened about what he has been doing (we can only take the schools word for that). I hope things have changed for that child, as the acts he knew of at such a young age (12) was considerably worrying...the internet has a lot to answer for really even with the restriction in this region (which this child knew how to circumnavigate!) From our side, we hired a child empowerment coach for our DS to build up his confidence, he couldnt look people straight in the eye...This worked really well for him...He left the school last Summer and is now at Boarding school, Im happy to say really enjoying daily sport and his grades have increased to achieving As...So a Happy End! Please get your daughter some help on a emotional level aswell, what impacts us at an early age, is carried through to adulthood and can be far more difficult to alleviate then...

With Life/Success Coaching it depends on how you get on with the Coach...Male or Female, you need to resonate with them..They usually offer a one to one Free session first as a taster to see if you get on..Also check how many hours of practice they have had and what accreditation organisations they belong to aswell as their background before becoming a coach. These are people I know of personally through friends and/or connections. From what I understand we are not supposed to advertise on EW (but I guess thats just if its yr own company/partners), but here goes, hoping to help... www.leapconsultancy.ae - Rawan Albina [email protected] - Tricia Evans [email protected] - Sherry Maw Amina Khalifa - [email protected] Mick Todd - [email protected] Adam Zargar - [email protected] I also know of Beryl Cromar listed below, who was the first coach in Dubai to offer NLP training.
