bubble trouble looks like you have posted about my son who will soon turn 3 :) i have taken professional help after getting same advice from school. Doctor has said apart from mild speech delay there is nothing wrong with my son. He is completely fine..according to her i have put him in a wrong school when he is so active :) his nursery is more academic oriented rather then letting a child develop their imagination. I get complaints and advice on a regular basis to make him sit more and to teach him to do drawing. He is not interested in colouring despite me encouraging so i have stopped making him do. I do keep colors within his reach if he wants to. really apricot? scissor exam? mine doesn't know how to hold it

She has been my gynae from past five years...I have been with her through my 2 pregnancies and one miscarriage.i am comfortable with her and like that she is clear in explaining. i havnt' delivered with her a s first time around insurance problem and second time i didnt delivered here. but whole my pregnancies she was very supportive and accomodating too. She always attend to phone calls even in the middle of the night. I feel like sometimes there were extra tests but thats the medical system here.

I booked them last year in april for my son's 2 birthday, on recommendation from here. If i plan on using photobooth again i would definitely hire them. Very nice people and they stayed extra time in our party as lots of people were late due to cricket match that day and they didnt charged extra for that. Grace is the name of the person and she is very nice. Try and negotiate i got a good deal along with photgrapher, cd,etc. Check their FB page. I remember i called several places and all were very expensive. i booked them at the last moment as my husband was adamant on hiring one :)

My son is also two and a half and is able to make us understand what he wants...when he speaks at the max 5-6 words in a sentence. but when he tries to speak like us in big sentences (usually when he sees us talking on phone or conversing with each other) he jumbles up everything and speaks in baby language, although we do catch words here and there. so i keep on insisting to talk slowly. I was worried about him as he started speaking very late but when i took him to our paed he said its due to us being bilingual at home. My paediatrician is a child psychologist too. Dr Badi, healthcall in healthcare city.

Sorry to hijack - but for the beachcombers brunch, does anyone know what sort of entertainment there is for the children? Or can they play/swim on the beach? Thanks OP- a few people have mentioned to me a family brunch which is like a picnic and the children can run around outside, do sports etc but I can't remember the name! Hopefully others might shed some light! when we went to beachcombers last season there were face painting, balloon twisting and a very small play room with 3-4 toys. Also you can run outside in the sand. there is a separate buffet too for kids. edited by angel joy on 13/10/2014

i havn't put him in nursery so far as i was pregnant with second and wanted him to be at home with me. For the next two months my top list is to decide between toddlers/orange tree. I have gt good reviews from one person regarding cambrideshire and we liked the nursery and staff too but its quite expensive. Do post here if you get through any.

Judy and marycatherine has given quite an insight. I would just like to share my views. Initially i wasn't interested in shifting to Canada(due to personal preferences) and after making 3 trips in past 2 year now i am all ready to move to Canada. I have recently returned from there and after living for almost 4 months in mississauga ( toronto) i am missing it very much. People are so considerate there and nobody will look at you twice. i miss the laidback lifestyle there.here if you are crossing a road (without signal) cars will not stop at all! for the healthcare i initially felt weird as for each and everything i have to goto a different place and the appointments were under a long waiting time.you do get used to the ease here...but once you get the hang its fine. Whenever you are planning to shift start looking for a family doctor as you need to have one and they only accept patients if there is an opening. after nearly 2 months i found a good family doctor.

Hello Ladies, This might be a really stupid question. How to dress your newborn baby? as a FTM i'm so confused about the clothes to buy for him and with all these shops selling so many cute stuff has just increased my confusion! I've gone shopping twice only to buy clothes and have come back empty handed as I was unable to decide what all I would need. First of all, there are onesies (the ones that snap at the crotch) What exactly are these for? I understand the plain white ones can be worn as vests but what about the cute colorful design ones? Will I really need these? If i just keep him in a onesie the legs are exposed and aren't newborn's need to be kept warm all the time? I know the weather is scorchingly hot but the AC (usually set at 20-21 deg at my home) will make him cold. I love the colorful onesies, how do I use them? Secondly, is it important to layer? in which case i'm thinking going for the plain white onesies and then a bodysuit/ sleeper on top. Is this ok? Experienced mommies please help me.. Xx not at all stupid question...everybody faces this :) With my first i did dressed him up in closed feet sleeping suits when going out and at night. no other fancy clothes like pants or t shirts in first 3 months. during the day i use to dress him in buttoned t shirts either full sleeves or half along with a nappy or pj. No diapers during the day and if i have to use then reusable cloth diapers. Those onesies do look cute and i am tempted to buy this time but i am not going to because you have to put the baby in pampers all the time ...if going out you can put a cotton jacket and a legging or pant with it. my son use to outgrow those close feet sleeping suits like a bullet train. every month buying few for him. Every baby is different. At my home temperature is usually at 23 and right from birth my boy didn't like to be swaddled or decked in too many clothes. yes in the starting you do need to cover the legs but not much. You will get the hang once your baby arrives. Just touch his tummy and feel the temperature whether hot or cold. trial and error and you will be fine. if you are going to then buy just a few onesies and then once the bay is here you can buy accordingly in what you feel comfortable.

@ CG9 Will definitely check uppababy. I was leaning towards baby jogger but getting a review from a bugaboo user is better as you already know the ease of bugaboo. I have decided not to sell my bugaboo for another year. as for base its good to have it beforehand. how will you stick it in the car otherwise? its much easier to take out the seat and just click it back again and baby does not wake up if he is sleeping. My son if shifted without car seat used to wake up and would not go back to sleep. Although my husband still wants another maxi cosi but i am looking for convertible options.

CG9 i am a die hard bugaboo fan...absolutely love the ease and maneuvering of the stroller. (bee not chameleon) i am having a hard time this time searching for a good stroller. My 2 year old is still a stroller baby so searching for a tandem stroller as aisles here are mostly narrow is a pain in the ... all are so bulky and difficult to take apart for travelling! and i dont like phil and teds its second seat being so close to ground! Anyone going for a convertible car seat and which one? I would like to invest once this time for atleast 4 years.

Once i did gave him on a 16 hr long flight but he was not interested so i am more motivated to keep it away. although this time i am thinking of how to entertain him as he is very active and does not sit still at all :(

The govt should release a chart to show the dates of birth and what age group they fall into, like the Kings school website does (needs to be updated now of course): http://www.kingsdubai.com/content/view/493/149/ [b'>YEAR GROUP[/b'>...........FROM.................TO [b'>2017[/b'>.................01/09/2013.................31/08/2014 [b'>2016[/b'>.................01/09/2012.................31/08/2013 [b'>2015[/b'>.................01/09/2011.................31/08/2012 [b'>2014[/b'>.................01/09/2010.................31/08/2011 My DD is July 2012 so would have been Sep 2015, now not sure :\ edited by sourskittleashnut on 19/05/2014 mine is april 2012 and i am also confused between 2015 or 2016!!

Hello Angel Joy Hello everyone I'm in my 23rd week and my body hurts!!! My back hurts, my left side is killing me, some days i cannot walk because my left hip hurts!!! I'm a wreck!!!!hahaha Plus I have heartburn and nausea all day long and I cannot sleep at night!!! Last night I used 5 pillows and managed to get some sleep...at last. But on the other side, my baby girl is kicking like crazy and I'm so happy! I hope all the rest are better than I am xxx My baby girl is on the right side since starting and hasnt changed her position so lying down on my right side i start feeling suffocated after few minutes and lying down on left side all the time has started various aches and pains :) I mostly sleep on the recliner as pillows doesnt help at all. that is the only place i get sleep at all and its still a long way to go... I jinxed myself by saying few days back that my nausea is better in this pregnancy as compared to first. During first pregnancy i had nausea for full 9 months and this time it subsided and went completley away after 4 month but from past 4 days it has returned back. I don't like eating anything in dinner apart from water melon or melon.

Guys, Just wanted an opinion from you all. I am in my 8th Week now. We are planning to travel to Qatar in 2 days. The trip was planned before we got to know I'm pregnant. Do you think it is safe to travel ? I have read many articles which says it is safe to travel unless you are tagged high risk. We havent done the initial scan yet. Just confirmed through hcg beta and blood test taht I'm pregnant. Please let me know ur thoughts :) Completely safe if your gynae doesn't say otherwise. I travelled to India in early pregnancy and i didn't realized at the time that i am pregnant. And i am soon to make a trip to US which is a very long flight but you need the go ahead from your doc.

My friend delivered at Latifa recently so i have some idea. You have to take the antenatal package in cash (not covered in insurance). Then there is a panel of doctors. You cannot choose only one. who so ever is on duty will see you although everything is mentioned in detail in your file so it wasn't awkward if you are fine in seeing different doctor. As for the tests her detailed scan took only 10-15 min whereas mine took 55 min the first time and this time 40 min. their delivery suite is good but she wasn't given a room till evening as no room was free at that time. So she had to stay in the general ward as she delivered in early hours of the morning. After care was fine not good or great and they didn't took the baby for cleaning for almost 3 hrs!! we had to ask again and again to clean her baby. No night time rest also. I delivered in IMH 2 years back and nurses took care of my baby so well during night so i can sleep. They used to bathe him right away in the morning whereas in latifa nurses are not bothered. you can do that once you reach home we were told :) this time (24 weeks) i am also in zahra but with different doctor. This is really a tricky thing to decide. Latifa delivery expenses will be less as compared to Zahra. And if you want you can look at IMH near country club in burdubai. They are also very reasonable. Although the doctor with whom i delivered now has her own clinic but still delivers there. The staff and pre and post care is amazing in IMH (international modern hospital)

Will never travel with them. We travelled few months back to Istanbul and as OP's mentioned plane was dirty and very hot. My LO was in a body suit and he cried so much till the time i took off all his clothes and left him in diaper and vest. Service is very poor both ground staff and air crew. since it was our first flight with baby while coming back we asked for bassinet seat and if not then atleast seat together. The ticketing lady said yes i have put your seat together. Due to fussy baby my husband didn't checked the alotted seats and when we went to board mine was in front and husband was at the back of the plane. They broke my stroller and when complained i got a consolation mail!

Panadol infants...it also contains paracetamol. Calpol has been out of stock since past one year now.you might want to check with your doctor before giving any. Normally clinics here prescribes adol (same composition) which is manufactured locally.

If you want there are solid colours in ikea too but best bet is union co-op. Party centre in garhoud have a vast selection but not particularly rainbow theme. You can match here and there.

yeas twin_butterfly its really getting difficult for me too :) my son only knows gigglebellies which are not available here at all. I combined rainbow with this theme and the decoration is giving me a headache. i just want want lots of balloons on the floor and few on the wall.most of the decoration i will be getting print outs and cut outs. When i am providing with the decor they have difficulty understanding and still charge the same amount they would for normal where they would bring balloons ans streamers!!my husband is insisting on changing the theme but cake has been finalised and i don't know which theme to go as he does not know any characters :) i havn't shown any to him.
