have you been to ID Design? good prices when they are on sale, its DSF maybe they have some great offers. I am looking for a dining set so will check them out...will also go to Sharjah, I think it's past Sharjah City Centre there's this area that has a lot of furniture shops. They also have the biggest Pan Emirates I believe... i have been to sharjah one but the one in al barsha is better.

Have survived last month with a 14 hr long flight to toronto with my hyperactive toddler . I kept on looking at the flight path and time left during whole flight :) whatever you do kids will be restless. i downloaded a lot of apps on ipad, had different in laptop, great inflight entertainment system for kids (emirates) but still they are restless. my son (18 month old) got the ipad in his hand for the first time and all he was interested was in switching it off again and again...so i kept it back. flash cards didn't interest him at all. all his new toys held attention for few minutes. so we let him run as we were at the back of the plane and there was empty space there but all he did was to run to the pantry area which was not safe. We booked a seat and carried his car seat too which was a life saver. return flight was a night one so he slept for 9 hrs and remaining 3 hrs we kept him busy somehow. but whole time i didn't slept at all. i kept on checking him while night and changing his positions ( he sleeps on his tummy and in car seat was stuck in one position ) but he slept soundly. All the best.

Hello Massassy There is a female pediatrician at Ittihad Government clinic in Safa. She is there everyday until 1pm. Now I take my baby to a private pediatrician since this clinic is close to us, but if there is something severe I would always prefer going to Ittihad clinic to see that female doctor. This is there number 04-3421005 Hope this helps Hi Dusha, like AnonDubai said did you see a GP first? Can you tell me the name of that female doc? No I didn't see the GP. Sorry I can't remember her name. I happened to see her last month too. It seems like she is the only pediatrician at Ittihad clinic, Safa. I first saw her in April 2012 she is good...i went there till last month before i completed my son's vaccination there. If i remember correctly her name is Dr Ali. i dont remember the first name.

i have been researching this for some time but as the rest of them this is also too good to be true plus i dont want to loose my bank account :) since after baby i am trying to decide on what to do,with the excuse that i have no time except after 9 in the evening. just 5 years back i lost 24 kgs in a space of 6 months, just by controlling my impulse eating, specially as i have a sweet tooth and eat lots when tired or frustrated or angry. i did yoga in the morning, gym for 1 hr in the evening and 30 min walk before that. I did tried 5:2 diet 2 months back but it just gobbled up my digestion so i stopped it ( and my hubby said that i was alot angry during that time. oops!! :) ) i have to loose 10 kgs now and i am thinking of doing that same routine again. Have to make time.

How long would it take to walk to the beach from Lime Tree? Which is the nearest beach to there? jumeirah open beach is opposite to lime tree, it would be a 10-15 mins walk...just cross the road and walk for a bit and you are at the beach. Or you can drive to paid beach too which has park and beach both so if you require shade its there. at the open beach you will find some shaded areas and if you want close to water you can rent the umbrella from there. edited by angel joy on 09/11/2013

if i remember barasti probably was around 60-80 dhs per person. you might want to check on a weekday though. Personally after combing many places for a nice breakfast with a view we prefer Dubai golf club, overlooking golf course and creek.

SO glad you asked this question Hannah33 :) I am in the same boat and also wondering about the sheet/blanket situation at night....I assume just a tight sheet at night will be wrm enough when small due to safety issues with blankets? Feel very dumb asking this! Thanks! i loved grobags and had them since he was 15 days.

So if anyone can tell me what their baby wears during the day and at night, that would be great! Then I can stop freaking people out by peering into buggies to see what babies are wearing. that just made me giggle...i remembered i used to stare at each and every stroller as we were so confused!

If the temperature at your home is above normal you can dress your baby in half sleeved sleep suit, at night you can dress in full sleeved ones. I got only one set for my baby and i found it pretty useless. hats and mittens and bibs which comes along with it are not used at all. My baby became hot easily and did not liked cap (still does not at like at 18 month), at just 1 month he used to turn his neck so that cap comes off. You can buy few sleepsuits sets only which comes in a packet of 3, juniors, mothercare. Later on once the summer arrives you can get half sleeved suits. underneath them a single vest without the buttons i prefered so that while changing diapers you are not just opening and closing buttons :) I remember dressing my son in full sleeved suits only when we were out.i used to put him in that for the night and that was his cue to sleep so during day if i used to put him in that he would go to sleep :). he was in them till 9 months and after that only in the night.(as he started crawling and prefered open feet) once your baby arrives best way to check is to touch their tummy to see if they are hot/cold. i have seen here many people dressing up their babies in everything then a warm blanket to top it off!

It will take about one day for each hour of time difference. So, if you were in Toronto for example, you are looking at a readjustment period of 8 days... i hate long trips!

Later on it was missed miscarriage so doctor had me on glucophage for another 3 months and after that i was on it for first trimester too. as OP said its really not a good experience....nausea,headache,lethargy!

apparently the landlords are going crazy about the increase in rent. you can check on the rera website the rental increase in your area. if its not much then you can ask the landlord again about the price difference. after that you can go to consumer court if the landlord is not ready to negotiate.somebody might explain this in more detail here.

He's just got a couple of canines through and hasn't got all his molars, so I'm hoping it is just teething, I just don't know why he won't go back in the cot that he has always loved - I guess he just needs a bit of TLC because he's in pain? Yes will def try Calpol tonight and see if we have a better night, thanks Meagle yes cot is the first thing he hates. he lie down in that first but after that for half of the night sleeps with me. he is happy to sleep again in it after 3 am. so i don't bother much and make him sleep with me if he wants. secretly i am loving it( him sleeping half the night with me) as mine is not a cuddly baby and these days he likes to just hold my hand and cuddle and goes to sleep. offcourse his "addy" shouldn't be far so keeps one leg on him :D i am gonna try panadol today.

(late teething so only has 4 + 3 new). i have noticed he has become violent and angry also. poor babies :(

have done that last year. We purchased a deal (doesn't remember the price) You take your car till there, part it besides the ground, and people were sitting in the shade of their cars. We took mat, food, etc. There is a certain distance and the fence is also there so you won't be in the fear of getting trampled by the horses. The polo match was good and there were several families with children there.basically all of you are sitting together, chatting, enjoying food and watching the polo match. it was a nice experience but you might get bored also if not interested in polo match.we were 3 couples and one of us got bored because they couldn't understand much so just chatting.

There were a TON of sun hats on the clearance rack at the H&M at Marina Mall about 3 weeks ago. Not sure if they'll still have them, but they were selling for 10-25 AED, so a true bargain. its all year round. you get some nice sun hats there.
