sometimes babies change their routine due to growth spurt.my ds suddenly started waking up 4-5 times a night when he was 6 months old. he is 10 now but still wakes up atleast 3-4 times. he only goes to sleep when i feed him. he goes to sleep at 9 and exactly after 2 hrs would wake up crying,i just pick him up and he goes back to sleep only to wake up again after 1.5 hr for feed. some nights he is up every 30 min or hr.but that happens when he is overtired. if you feel your baby is cold as during morning hours it gets cold sometimes check her tummy.if its cold or hot or normal that's how the baby is feeling. have read somewhere that growth spurt makes them restless apart from other factors. well the joys of motherhood :) when you think you are finally in the routine they change themselves again. also you can try keeping some cloth or blanket with your fragrance.

apart from suggestion by Sal 123 try this website- http://wholesomebabyfood.momtastic.com its wonderful when i go out i normally carry banana, yoghurt, breadsticks, cucumber or spinach omelette. that's my baby's preference. i do keep heinz baby food jar for extreme emergencies, in diaper bag. or i just cook broken wheat and some vegetables to that but do not keep it for long time. he likes to have mixed veg soup with beetroot particularly. i store in ice cube trays, then pop them in freezer bag and label them. i do try to cook fresh but keep some food in fridge too.

apart from the other useful suggestions here you can not just give the CV in the main branch. banks here recruit differently for their different branch. head office is not concerned in that matter.only the HR department which gives a go ahead. apart from headhunters and linkedin direct approach works better.

welcome to the club :) my ds started at the same age and he used to take 2-3 feeds at night. now at 10 month old he takes only 3 feeds a day as compared to 4-6 times a night!! doc says don't feed him at night..what to do then. i tried for 3 nights not to feed him and let him comfort himself but he became so angry that after full blow cries didn't went back to sleep for 3 hrs!! needless to say i lost battle after 3 days. i try to comfort him if he does not go back to sleep i give him feed.he cries with hiccups and clings to me so tightly that i do not like but i definitely need him to sleep fully at night. the only help is that i have a short sleep cycle.

I tried boots and the chemist told me that it has been banned in the UAE because of its alcoholic content, however this baffles me slightly as it clearly states on the bottle and packaging that it's alcohol and sugar free. I just wanted to check if anyone else has had more luck finding some. It's the only thing that will settle my ds tummy. Angel Joy - thank you, may I ask how long your bottle has been open for? I'm asking because it's written on the bottle that it needs to be thrown away 14 days after opening. Thanks i didn't noticed..i'll throw it away as it has been opened for long now. i checked it before throwing...it has 1.10 gm of sugar that's why i ddin't gave any and my ds didn't liked it too. although nothing is written about the expiry. there was a price tag still on that. i got it from citi mart in bur dubai. :) there is one more option which is ayurvedic and useful for settling gas without any side effects.i mostly give my ds those only if he has gas problems. just a pinch of asafoetida(get it in any indian supermarket). dissolve in 1 tbsp of water. make it lukewarm.dip a little cotton in that ,not too much ,and put it on the navel. it passes the gas. even good for adults. or there comes "harar" in al adil supermarket, buy the whole one. just rub twice in breastmilk and give him. no tummy problems at all. but you can give it only once a day and not more then that. and not required on a regular basis too. i gave him that for few days and stopped and his stomach is completely fine too. even after starting solids no constipation at all! these are all age old indian remedies. edited by angel joy on 12/02/2013

mine is a big boy too concerning his age of 10 months :D at 6 i slowly introduced solids so it was either 1 serving of fruit/vegetable at lunch time.then at 7 months i started 2 meals then after 15 days 3 meals as his appetite wasn't satisfied. rest he was taking feed all through the day although he is till now breastfeed so i don't know the amount.he do used to take feed 8-9 times a day and 2-3 times a night. now that scenario is reversed. during day till sleeping he takes 3 feeds only and at night 3-4 times :( he takes 3 meals with 1 snack now.

we went out when my ds was 2 month old as my mother was flying back. since then we have not been out. i just don't feel like leaving him with the babysitter for now. although i think i should leave him for some time now but during the day as he is too clingy to me.he is 10 month old and as others said still not sleeping through the night and only sleeps when given breastfeed.valentines is just another day. for me its a day when i can eat cake or choc without thinking twice :D. we realized that right now we enjoy more with him at beach or in the park rather then anywhere. so we do that every weekendand sometimes we take long walks in the evening after his bedtime rituals so he falls asleep in the stroller and we have time for ourselves to talk.

i had the same in pregnancy and stopped using palmer's cream. doctor prescribed cetaphil lotion and i had to keep the area moisturised all the time. just don't scratch it with your nails or fingers, it leaves marks. take a wash cloth and rub with it. i remember being itchy specially at night and my DH used to point out not to itch without opening his eyes :D

you have already got wonderful medical advice from Bats4891. every baby falls now and the despite us being so cautious. my ds fell down first time from the couch when he was 3 month old. he was a active baby right from the starting but took that moment to take a flip first time in his life :( he stopped crying after 2 min and started cooing but i cried for 2 hrs after that and my husband was scared for me rather then him :) now he is 9 months old and super active and i can't prevent all his falls despite being carefull. he is cruising around right now and even falls when he is sitting and playing besides me. so don't feel bad.its tough but you get used to it and will not cry every time they fell.

better to consult a paed if its too concerning. i remember i used to goto my doc in every 15 days. he finally gave me a list of few common baby problems and their cure :) my ds's hands are always like a furnace. his feet sweats alot if i put him in shoes. so i have stopped making him wear shoes as he is still small (9 month old) his body temperature regulation is still isn't set. i make him sleep in 0.5 tog growbag and he still cries at night sometimes being hot.babies takes lots of time to adjust their body.so i will not worry that much if has no fever.

so sorry to hear about your loss busybee. have been through 2 d&c's and i know the pain as you want to have baby as soon as possible. my first pregnancy was "missed miscarriage" and at 8 weeks d&c was done. i was so desperate that first time that i nearly went into depression. i was recently diagnosed with PCOS and my doc advised to start family as soon as possible. we didn't wanted to start the family for 2 years.i was heartbroken. but then my doc encouraged me to loose weight after d&c so that i can start again. i concieved after 3 months only and probably focused towards weight loss kept me sane. i have a beautiful and naughty ds who turned 9 months recently. 5 weeks before i had another d&c. again same as before :( keep your spirits high. Hope you are blessed with a baby soon.

i started solids for my ds just 2 days before he turned 6 months. in the starting i used to give him just half apple. (day 1) but he wanted to eat...so i followed his cue and gave him how much he wants. he used to eat 1 apple or pear or peach daily. after 1 month i started his lunch and dinner. now he takes 3 meals and 1 snack. as for measurement i used to give 7 oz only but as stated he wanted more. he has turned 9 months yesterday and still he lets me know that either he is full or does not like the taste :)

babies and their sleep patterns!! :) you don't need to see doctor for this. every baby go through different phases of sleep techniques. mine used to loved swaddling for 15 days, then only feed, then came rocking, at 7 months he wanted me to put him in my lap and keep humming and rocking, then came swaying, now at 9 months its only humming and feed :) my dh bought a recliner for me so that i can sit and rock him there (as my baby was large) then if needed i can sleep there only.it helped for few days only.he wanted me to walk too but i didn't caved into that. as op suggested try getting a automated swing. keep her there and hold her hand. now she is progressing into the age where she is more aware of you. try keeping this up for few nights then she'll get in the pattern. ps:also babies go through growth spurt where they'll change their behavoiur for some time :( edited by angel joy on 19/01/2013

as kiwispeirs said i did the same thing.. finger food puree. i followed his cues. there are few foods which he does not like in the puree form like brocolli. he likes to hold the florets and eat. you have to follow your baby's cues. i was not comfortable with the idea of BLW only. so small babies left to feed themselves. but at the same time i wanted him to learn eating too.kiwispeirs has nicely explained everything. my ds started asking for solids at 5 months. he used to watch complete movement of us taking food into mouth from plate and used to make chewing motion :) but i started his solids at 6 months only and he devoured everything i gave him. all the best..messy times are coming.
