Hi Ladies, My DS is currently in Wellington DSO and has been offered a place in JESS ranches after a nearly 4 years wait. my only concern is the transport back to The Villa from JESS. Can anyone shed light on external bus services, private drivers for school runs etc.. I'd hate to turn down the opportunity without exploring all possibilities for transport. After my struggle with private transport services to and from JAPS. I possibly can't go through it again. Thanks in advance for recommendations.

TCHIBO stores always carry them. Its the ribbon type pin board that you can either slot stuff into or pin it.

YOu can sell your gold at any shop provided you have a receipt or you can even sell it without a receipt if you know your jeweler or have bough the item from the store you selling it back to. You will loose less value if you exchange it.

My nails too were in very bad condition after Gellish / Shellac. They get brittle and break really easy. It's not only the acetone but also the scratching with tools on the nails to remove it that damages your nails. As lovely as the nails look for 2-3 weeks after the polish, it's really not worth compromising your quality of nails for it.

Ok this idea sure tops. Will get cracking, will keep me busy and distracted for the next few weeks. Thank you very much. @ Barsha Lady1 - Thank you, prayers are good enough. Bless you.

I've used an agent from them that I was more than pleased with and cant recommend him enough. He sold my house and helped us get a new one. He worked for our interest and not just for his pocket.. hence I really respect him.

@ Pink Lily - thank you for the suggestions and blessings. God bless you too. @ Sive 1 - I try ... I look at it this way, if you could spend a few minutes to read my post and reply. The least I can do is acknowledge. I apply this across all other areas in my life. Taking in all your advice.. so appreciate it. I myself are not regular anymore on the forum, like yourself. @ Sive 1 - Your post brought me to tears, really sorry for your brother. My heart goes out to him and your family. Big cyber hug. Its scary how life throws us these challenges. I'm learning to appreciate the little things in life we take for granted. Thank you for your suggestions. We are trying to treat her as normal as possible but its though. I stay strong around her all the time is only in my quiet time that my mind plays up and my heart gets weak Appreciate your effort reaching out to me will be in touch and your brother will now be in my prayers. @ Shjbelle - Going with the suggestions. Appreciate it. Big hug to you too @ Joyce B - Your post was very touching. Thank you and I will take your suggestion to make memories of the simple things ... hugs x @ Mariana - Thank you for your kind words. Yes! It sure comes back to the simple things in life that we take for granted with people close to us that we need to cherish. Doesn't have to come to this before we realize that we must do so. Hugsx

@ Nomad - Thank you for your kind words.. its difficult for me but have great supportive friends here thats helping me to get through this. @ Quinn 10 - Thank you for the suggestion. She's struggling with basic motor skills so not really an option but appreciate the thought. @ Chilli Pepper - thanks for the great idea of the CD. I also did a memorial CD for my dad who passed away recently and it was well received. She looooves food at the moment the only thing that gives her immense joy.. Bless her! and we indulge in all her foodie wants. Also appreciate the compliment but guess thats just what any sibling would do. @ Desert Rose 1958 - You are right! I know spending quality time with her is the best.. but I'm a sucker for memorabilia that I can enjoy in her memory though she will always be close to my heart. @ Kitty Kat 72 - Thank you for the kind and warm wishes. @ Janatks - going through old pics is sure a nice way to spend time, on my to do list for tomorrow with her. Thank you. @ Simoralu 44 - Thanks dear, I sure feel your warmth.. hugs back to you too.

@ Redrec Tangle - like the locket idea, thank you for that and for the prayers @ Banana - Thank you for your kind words I write, my eyes filled with tears.. she isn't her normal self and can't speak properly. Since its a brain tumor its messed with the body functions and she is a bit slow to comprehend and finds it difficult to communicate. She now stammers as well. She can neither read properly nor write anymore. Its not so much the cancer messing with her right now than the brain messing with her body functioning. Bless her! she pleads and prays more to be normal than for the cancer. The simple things in life we take for granted. . edited by Annedxb on 06/05/2013 edited by Annedxb on 06/05/2013

This is close to my heart and has taken a lot from me to share.. I've got my young single sister visiting me on route to our home town to spend her last... She is in the last stages of cancer and not very mobile and is assisted nearly all tasks. She is not in the position to go out and do stuff around the city. But I'm trying to give her a best experience I can manage in her state. Got the last few days with her and want to create memories that will last me a life time.. A friend got me thinking after she suggested I get her to write a few words to my boy for his milestone achievements in life that she will not be around for.. this is not possible as I can't have her do that while I encourage and help her to believe that she may beat the odds and live longer than the short time the doctors have given her. I cant think beyond planting a tree together.. What can you suggest I do. Would love some ideas. Photos out of question as she is not in the best state and I wouldn't like to remember the way she is now.. I want to remember her full of life.

I totally think its personal preference, I was recommended Dr Janetta when i first arrived in Dubai, and have to say i was apauled by how rude, unconsiderate/uncaring she was towards a condition i have. Ive been a patient of Dr Rosalie Sant at Primavera Clinic ever since, and cant fault her at all. I second Dr. Rosalie Sant too. She was just brilliant and so gentle.

I agree that it does not replace an iron. It great for lighter / delicate fabrics. The maids who do the ironing prefer the old fashioned press down and do not use the steamer as much. However you get the irons that can vertically steam too .... I've got one of those and she still does not really use it. I had the professional type that the stores use and liked it a lot for curtains, long dresses, suits etc... But used it on such rare occasions that it was more of a white elephant and eventually got rid of it. I also have the Conair compact steamer which works really well. However, because we use it so rarely and left the water sitting in the steamer.. It created a thick lime scale and ruined a garment when I tried to use it after a long time. I cleaned it out and it works fine again. Its available at Hyperpanda Some advice when choosing a steamer.. - It ideally should have a long attachment to hang a long garment on. The Conair does not have one and its always a problem to find a peg high enough to hang something long and a socket close by to steam iron it. - Preferably have a long hose - When using a steamer or iron use only drinking water to avoid the build up of limescale Hope this helps

Speedo has lessons in DIA and the indoor pool is used for toddlers if thats any help. They also have clases at various other locations. So the best bet would be to call them and check for the indoor locations they offer closest to you. If not Speedo try the Active sport who also do swim lessons.

I've had a couple of dresses made from online pictures at Mega Stitch in Al Barsha, one fairly simple and the other one fairly complicated and they turned out fabulous - worth a thought as an alternative. Where in Al Barsha is Mega Stitch please? If you are heading in the direction of MOE from DIA in Barsha, turn left at the first set of lights (right takes you to Lulu) and its to your right, . Around the corner from Red Tomato Hope this helps.

Really depends on the size of the cushion and fabric.. Guess you will need to share details of fabric chosen and size. But an average of 110 per question is about right IMHO

Since Ramadan in in summer break of fast is approximately at 7pm hence shorter iftaar time as they need to prepare of Suhoor where they make a bigger revenue. Most iftaars are pretty much rushed. As people are keen to eat after the long fasting hours, since majority of the people will be fasting the buffet if pretty much attacked that leaves the rest of us no choice but also rush in. I've called around a few hotels for Iftaar options and all seem to be serving till 8:30 only. After stuff your face for an hour and a half.. you pretty much want to leave and don't want to hang around. So yeah! in answer to your question it is enough time. However, if you want to leisurely enjoy the season, then try Suhoor instead which starts at 10pm till late, for the mezee and a-la carte options.
