The fast track entrance is not the problem as its no bottle neck there and is fast moving. Problems are at the cooking school if you want to go to that you will still need to line up for atleast 40 minutes prior to the cooking class of your choice. Neither does it fast track you at any of the restaurants ... But each to their own. I had as much a great time with my 75 dhs. ticket. . edited by Annedxb on 16/03/2012

If you would consider Yoga as an alternative (which I believe Pilates originated from amongst other things) there is a fantastic yoga teacher, Fran, who does sessions at Exhale and also at Optimal Fitness at Studio City. Yep!! I second her specially for people starting out!!

Just got back from the taste of Dubai and had a truly great time for just the purchase of standard tickets. Attended the cooking school for free and the Philips chef studio for free too. Lots of free food sampling around that will fill you up. All restaurants have priced their main courses at just Aed 25 or 30. Starters & Dessert at Aed15 or 20. Alcohol for Aed 30. So the VIP ticket is not worth it if you add it up. It does not fast track you to anything either. Met a couple of people there with the VIP passes that really thought it was not worth it!!

Hi, I've tried the mat Pilates there with all the instructors and like Susanna the best, Sandra is also very good. I was also advised by one of the instructors there, that you need to have practised pilates for atleast a year before you start doing the reformer as its is easy to cheat in the machines and you could end up hurting your back. Here's the schedule for your easy reference. http://www.exhaledubai.com/motorcity/images/schedule.pdf

Doing your own bookings will save you lots. You can pick the best deals online. The packages offered by airlines are most often expensive.. but in the end if its easier for you and worth your pocket then go for it. I personally enjoy planning our own holidays at our own pace.

Annedxb if you go on the taste of Dubai website the schedules are published in the features section. When I collected the tickets yesterday I was told that they weren't doing the food vouchers this year as it caused too many problems so this year they are accepting cash. HTH Got it!!! Thanks

Hi there went with DH on our anniversary... The treatment area is beautiful however the individual rooms were mediocre, treatment was great!!. We were not allowed to use the pool except for the wet area in the spa for steam, sauna and a jacuzzi thats seperate for men and women. I think its a bit overpriced for what you get, we used the vouchers in the entertainer and its was still steep at Dhs.750 for one treatment which was a massage. I prefer the Talise over it by far also much prettier and better facilites and of course there is Magnolia which I love!

I personally like the M&S calendars.. but they are not for the fridge. They have enough columns for a 4 member family or you can buy the couple one. Nice for marking in stuff for each member or the whole family. However if you want the firdge calendar the space to right stuff is really small and you cant get enough in. But try 'Organised Mums' for the fridge calendars.. Simone N who is an EW poster does sell them. She can be contacted on simonegroups at gmail dot com Hope this helps

As tempting it may be.. I think it will be a bit messy as the agency in all likely hood will not let her go that easy until she completes her contract and serves her term

Dragon mart for inexpensive outdoor play items??? I was also very keen to get DS a slide set when he was little.. I think I wanted more than he did. After w got it he used it a bit and it collected dust after that.. He preferred being in the park or riding his bike outdoors. Something to think about

I think the organic ones are good and do not contain it. Bottons - Where did you get your organic treatment done and how long did it last? Also did the treatment sting your eyes too ?

Ladies, please be careful with Keratin treatments!! It is a chemical process to straighten the hair, it changes the natural structure of the hair, so lets call it a perm because that's what it is! Now, like anything there are some good ones around, I had the organic one, in the hands of a good operator has great results. Please do not compromise your lovely locks for a few bucks..... Completely agree. Also Keratin should last about three months at the least and should not be repeated for another 9 months as that could severly damage your hair. Be aware!

Keratin is not very good for the hair or your body because of the formaldehyde content that is a harmful chemical that causes fumes, and after 4 months, your hair will be worse than it was before you had the treatment, and because research proves that regular use can cause cancer. I believe its baned in some places in the west. When I did it over a year ago and was unaware of the facts.. My eyes stung soo bad that I could have them open during the whole treatment.. so I now can really believe how bad it may be. Poor therapists, dont know how they cope?

Have you tried the Park and Shop toy section.. they seem to have all the new fads. Most often I get my son to find out where the kids buy any new fad that is out and he wants as the kids invariaby know best when it comes to stuff they like and want. Will have a check with my DS and let you know if I can get any info for you.

From experiences shared by the ladies online here I think you shouldn't bother with the offer. Firstly, the cost does not even cover the minimum costs for a Keratin.. so what are they offereing, is the real question? And if you have had bad experiences in Dubai paying a full price.. guess you can't expect much then with this offer. If I were you.. I'd give it a skip. . edited by Annedxb on 14/03/2012

I've always wanted to live by the lake but ever so often there are similar complaints about the flying insects and the condition of the lake that puts us off.. It's real shame. Its an on going battle with Emaar. Something you will have to learn to live with.

THe sale is usually only in summer so its small items its probably not going to be worth the wait. Comping from an impulsive shopper.
