Cote d'azur is lovely, although it will be a bit crowded at that time of the year. If you fly into Nice, then you can rent a car and head to St Paul de Vence, Antibes, Cannes, Grasse, and if you have time I really recommend the Iles d'Hyeres, amazing place. Absolutely!! second it too

Thanks Nomad, thats what I thought too ... As a spouse of an Ek employee I'm actually entitiled to use any clinic outside but specially for dental but wasn't sure. Gorobattie - I intend to go to the dentist only tomorrow morning. Since its my front tooth I was keen on a good cosmetic dentist incase a cap is required would like it done well.

Are you sure you broke the tooth and not just calculus (buildup) on the back of the tooth? I had the same thing once, turned out it was just deposits gone hard (eewww) on the back of my tooth & not the tooth itself. Depends on the coverage you have, but I htink for newer employees you attend the regular dentist then get reimbursed. If not sure you can call the clinic and ask them. Or it might be on the portal (HRdirect) under your entitlements. Its sure broken.... I've got a good set of teeth that are extremely close, hence its difficult to floss. That tooth has had a cavity filing done about 8 years ago if not longer. This is a clean break and big gap now. Looks awful!!! I forgot to mention that I am a dependant on the Insurance as its DH that works for DH. As a spouse we go to most hospitals and clinics with direct biling and dont have to dish out a cent. But was not sure with the dental coverage as I've not neeeded it yet. . edited by Annedxb on 12/03/2012

I've heard good reviews on Coco's cakes. They decorate cakes with (any picture you provide on) rice paper. I can also recommend their cakes.. specially the chocolate cake is divine!

Nice tale Annedxb - sadly this only happens because the middle and ring fingers share the same tendon, but there you go. . Possibly a tale.. But some enjoy them and happy to believe them. I like the idea of it even if scientifly can be proven why.

Its easy to get carried away in a nice supermarket like Spinneys and Waitrose. However, I do the bulk shopping of detergents, cleaning products, and other food staples from Carrefour on a monthly basis. Weekly trip to Lulu is a regular for me for most of my weekly groceries. But some fruits and veggies I only buy at Spinneys.

Spinneys and Waitrose are by far the most expensive... I limit it to only last minute stuff mostly perishables and some fruit and veggies.

There is a beautiful and convincing explanation given by the Chinese. Thumb represents your Parents
Second (Index) finger represents your Siblings
Middle finger represents your-Self
Fourth (Ring) finger represents your Life Partner
& the Last (Little) finger represents your children Well I came across this fascinating tidbit! Check it out for your-self - it really works. Firstly, open your palms (face to face), bend the middle fingers and hold them together ( back to back - knuckle to knuckle) Secondly, open and hold the remaining three fingers and the thumb - tip to tip

Now, try to separate your thumbs (representing the parents)..., they will open, because your parents are not destined to live with you lifelong, and have to leave you sooner or later. Now, join your thumbs as before, and separate your Index fingers (representing siblings)...., they will also open, because your brothers and sisters will have their own families and will have to lead their own separate lives. Now join the Index fingers back, and separate your Little pinky fingers (representing your children)...., they will open too, because the children also will get married and settle down on their own some day.

Finally, join your Little fingers, and try to separate your Ring fingers (representing your spouse).
You will be surprised to see that you just CANNOT....., because Husband & Wife are meant to remain together all their lives - through thick and thin!!

I'll check with her its thats a convenient route for her... She has pick up at 1:45 and 2pm for JAPS in J.A. and drops off all the kids to the Ranches including DS. However if it clashes between these timings she may not oblige to do it. I found her from the school as our school also does not have buses to the Ranches.. have been using her for the last four years and she has never let me down. You may want to check with your school and parents if they know of anyone who does school runs and is self employed. There was another similar thread posted yesterday on the same topic and there was a lady that had a solution.

You can probably clean them out after the eggs have hatched and the brids have left the nest... If it was on a tree then it would have been fine to leave it there.

Ive used Charlotte Simpson from Hotshots on two occasions in the past and would use her again if I had to. She charges you a flat fee that NOT ONLY includes the photoshoot but also a CD with the images in high resolution in two formats of your choice. So besides your images in colour you have a choice of still B&W or Sepia. http://www.hotshotsdubai.com/ Most other photographers may charge you a nomimal fee for the session but htey make up their costs when it comes to the images. As you will have to buy the prints from them and they dont share it with you on a CD.

Got it! thanks.. If its all standing the 250 tickets for the kids are probably the best, as they can stand at the back where the crowd is lighter and have a better view. Guess if they stand too close between lots of people all that they will get to see is the back of the person in front of them.

I am suprised that its all standing tickets available... and if open to all ages then they should have provided some seated. I wanted to take DS and his friends aged 8 - 10 years. What do you suggest?? Have you been to a concert at this venue? Is there a map of the concert layout to see what kind of tickets we are buying.. any infor on this concert tickets will be helpful.

Cymraes - If I can add its by the fashion car park of the mall. If you acess it from the fashion car park where you have to drive up the winding ramp.. then invariably you land up on level 6. The clinic is on level 7 and there is a good otpician on level 5 just below the cinic. Can't remember the name now.

Many thanks Annedxb, our insurance covers EHL so will make an appointment, not sure if they'll cover it though! Thanks again Our insurance also covers EHL but not general eye tests. Dr. Chidamber was very kind to to dramtise it so that the insurance could cover it without requesting him to do so, as he is aware that most insurance does not cover just a routine test. He is the most wonderful Dr ever and we are extremely pleased with him Btw, appointments with him can take a while to get.

Don't give up your search.. Hope you find her. Also contact all vets around the area to inform them of your lost dog and give them your number. If anyone finds your dog the chances are good that they may take it to the nearest vet. So if you inform the vet and if you have infomed them, the vet will contact.

To give you my personal experience.. I was tested by two sperate Opticians in a mall just to check if the test restults were similar and they both prescribed reading glasses for me with a number of +0.5. Less than six months later, only because I had to take DS for his first eye check, I had mine tested by a DR. Not only was my number higher.. he also dilated my pupils to check the number. THis time it went up still higher to +1. He asked me to come back yet again the following day to re-check the number.. and it was +1. Now such acurate testing and recheck will not be done at an Optician in a mall. However, you can take your Dr. prescription to any optician to get either your glasses or lenses. My Dr. asks you to bring it back to him so that he can test that the optician has got it right The Doctor that I go to is Dr. Srinivas Chidamber at the EHL clinic at Dubai Mall. I recommended Dr. P Bhatia to Bumbles because it may be closer to her and he is as good.

For good eye testing you should be ready to travel .. or you can just get a check up done at one of the Opticians in the mall but they are not going to be any good. Ophthalmologist, Dr. Prashant Bhatia who practices at Sultan Business Centre (near Lamcy Plaza) comes highly recommended http://www.doctor-dubai.com/dr_info_display.asp?dr_id=2129
