I've not used them myself, but a friend did for her engagement ring, Keiran at Cara, Gold & Diamond Park.

We used Tylos to clean our apt before we moved into it. Khaled, the owner, came round to inspect it himself. They get into all the nooks and crannies and did a great job. http://www.tyloscleaning.com

Try China Garden, they are located in the complex next to Park & Shop (Al Wasl Road).

You could book with Expedia or Opodo for someone else as I did that for MIL. But here's what Emirates say: http://www.emirates.com/english/help/faqs/FAQDetails.aspx?faqCategory=414398#faq2

Aww, thank you. So glad your mum is great now. DH didn't show signs of stress, busy at work, but he wasn't very happy at having to pay the rent on 1st Aug!! He woke up on the 3rd, 'not right'. So it's been 4 days now. I had read that patients generally have no recollection of what has happened. I'm confident he'll be fine. He completed the Daily Mail crossword no probs on Saturday!

Thank you for the info. The neurologist here thinks my DH has had one, he's 53. All tests nearly completed, back to doc on Wed to see what outcome is. Good to know a full recovery can be made.

We've only been once to the Maldives so can't compare the resort to any others, however, we would defo recommend it, go for the Island Club option, with the over water villa: http://www.centarahotelsresorts.com/package/IslandClub.html

Deckname: You advised below "don't use the last lag DXB-Cairo" I think there might be a 'no show' fee charged to the Credit card used to book the ticket, Floppy123 might be worth checking it out.

Some friends did a similar thing for a hen party in Barsha last year. They took their own refreshments and games and they got a sleep over too. No probs encountered at all. Can't remember the name of venue though.

I was on the verge of booking the 'Gourmet Package' promo which is running at the moment for DH's birthday in Sept as we've been wanting to try Table 9 since it opened. Not so sure now. AED1,198 for 4 course dinner at Table 9 plus B&B at Hilton, (which is a good price). But I'm in a dilemma now! What to do?

I witnessed a similar situation yesterday, in the same area. A taxi with pink roof/female driver with a car full of people and a little girl standing in between the driver/passenger seat. I noted the car number (W718) and rang the taxi company when I got home - to gently pass on my observation!

I did wonder too if Kate was pregnant - there was a camera shot of her, sort of from behind, to her left side, and her right hand was resting on her tummy. I'd be lovely if something happened in the Jubilee Year.

I did the Dukan Diet and lost weight - the only exercise I did was a bit of swimming. I think with your exercise regime you'll hit your target, no probs.

Sorry to hijack this thread - but on a slightly different note - I've just changed my dates on 2 flights. I booked on-line direct with Emirates last year. BHX to DXB. Paid in GBP by a UK CC. This evening she quoted me GBP75 per person to change, but then said she'd charge me in AED(900). It didn't occur to me to ask why - until now! It means, I lose out on the exchange rate. I shall call them first thing in the morning for an explanation. Does anyone know why they would do this? TiA

Don't know what the weather will be like in July - but we stayed here - we booked direct with the hotel - paid a deposit by cc then balance on departure. We opted for the Island Club package. Can thoroughly recommend it. http://www.centarahotelsresorts.com/package/InternetRateMaldives.asp# BTW we weren't honeymoners - some were - we were celebrating 24 years of marriage. Have fun.

We booked direct with this hotel and upgraded to the Island Club package. It was fabulous. We booked our flights with Emirates selecting multiple destinations and using Maldives as a stopover from the UK (we live in Dxb). Works out cheaper than flying to Maldives from DXB. http://www.centarahotelsresorts.com/package/IslandClub.html

Pleased to inform, DH's pal passed his second medical. True to form, my DH didn't ask too many questions - just said it was something to do with the x-ray,so I'm unable to shed any light on why he was a failed to start with then got a pass. Good news though. <em>edited by April Flower on 23/05/2012</em>

BNBH - what was Bab Al Sham's response? I had problem with Cobone, my deal didn't come to fruition and their client Jumeirah Zabeel Saray never responded when I asked them directly to pffer the deal to loyal Sirius members. I've tried once to utilise an offer and it failed - won't try again.

Well done to your DH. I did forecast to-ing and fro-ing on the contract, but that's the case with a lot of companies here.

Don't worry, they are legit, my DH had an interview unfortunately wasn't successful, but our friend works for them. They are tight lipped due to the nature of the work. I think our friend is on quite a good package with bonus, but I know he has to work for it! Good luck to your DH. NB ironing out contract/package may take a bit of to-ing and fro-ing!

You can buy Phenergan at Life Pharmacy, you have to ask for it, they are not allowed to offer it. Unfortunately, I don't know about the others. BTW I brought my phenergan here with me. HTH.

We've just signed up for a 3rd year in Murjan 1. Yes the traffic is heavy at weekends but we tend to go to the malls early on a morning if we need to go. We hear the motorbikes and screetching cars, even though we are on the 40th floor, but I think we're used to it now. We can walk to all the hotels/bars and restaurants on The Walk. We can walk to Marina Mall. We also walk to Barasti and the Westin. Living in JBR is great for us. Good luck.

I've just tried to book too, I can input from, to, dates then I can't go any further. I thought of calling them on 600 555555, but thought I couldn't cope with that - so am now looking at BA instead! Emirates must be losing money.

On the perimeter of the event, or behind the CNN building,or in front of Barasti (then walk) - get there before 12 and you should be OK.

Chocs 01, I had the same problem too recently trying to buy the Talise Spa Jumeirah Sabeel Saray deal, tried a couple of cards it wouldn't go through (sufficient funds available!) so opted for cash on delivery within 3 working days. One month on I've heard nothing. I've tried to ring, no answer. I even e-mailed the hotel direct voicing my concerns of such a deal/such a company and asking why they don't offer the deal direct to their loyalty members - no response! i'm not going to bother again. Very disappointed. Anyone else got any feedback?

Jumeirah College don't ask for a fee for re-registration, they just ask parents to let them know if their child will be returning in Sept. Sounds reasonable to me.

Thank you. I was told if I went to a UAE government hpl in Dubai, it would be accepted in all Emirates. Don't think I'll take the chance. AD it is then!
