Hi Arohadxb, sorry to intrude into your thread , just want to say thx to all ladies cuz i've been looking for an aquarium & fish for 1 week now and didn't know where to buy. BTW, thought you're planning to move to Viet Nam ? Tia looks like it's fallen through for this year at least, and lil miss has been after fish for years and it's her birthday, so...I figure if VN (or elsewhere) crops up again they'll be relatively easy to re home. Thanks for all your help on that too.

ours once caught a dragonfly (pretty sure he yawned and it flew in his mouth) and got such a fright he spat it right out and mr dragonfly lived to tell the tale. Just an over grown noisy decorative cushion really....

Where: Little Bay and Waikawau Bay, Coromandel Peninsula, New Zealand What: A "carpet" of hundreds of dead, mostly eyeless, snapper washed up on several Coromandel Peninsula beaches on Tuesday, leaving people mystified. That comment is strange eyeless ??? not really, all the eyes were gone and that was the only 'damage' other than the fact that the fish, of one species were all dead. What i meant was strange that there were no eyes??? Where did the eyes go???? the 'government' took them.....

We bought our fish tank set up in the fish shop in Lulu's, they were by far the cheapest. As for fish, we bought some from Dubai Garden Centre - they were cheap, cheerful and strong! - and from Petland, but they're pricier. excellent news, Thanks

I just keep picturing the author of letter sitting back reading this thread and positively roaring with laughter. It (author) certainly knows how to push the collective EW buttons and get itself some nice attention....

Hubby has relented, and I am now allowed to foster :D Criteria would be pups only as we have a household of other animals (and children) and we'd have a better chance of socializing small pups than grown dogs. It has to be on a temporary basis while forever homes are found, this is a non negotiable from hubby ( i do hope to wear him down eventually, but for now I had better not abuse his good faith) So there you go, let me know when I'm needed

Ideas please! Need to have one clear winner of the games with no 'judging' from me...I can't stand the pressure of musical statues :) So far, we have a pinata, pass the parcel, pin the wing on the butterfly (butterflies being the theme). I'm tossing up the idea of a relay of some description, but we seriously lack space. Oh, and we'll have a plethora of 2 year olds as well, so games need to have a bit of skill involved for the older kids but the little ones will probably want to join in too. Thanks girls.

Tough choice in todays job/economic climate. On the one hand, here we are employed, with regular income and while not flash at all our 'lifestyle' is good, in that it suits us, we're outdoors, camping and travelling every time we can. However this month, we've the school fees. bus fees, rent cheque, christmas, a holiday, and daughters b'day. Pot noodles for us! At 'home' say, we'd just not have managed all of it, pot noodles or not. Soooo, for now it's here for us as it offers at least some form of stability however fragile. Give us an opportunity to experience another country who may offer us an equal salary etc with more 'benefits', well...we'd still think long and hard. We love the outdoors here, kiddo thinks it's her country, other jobs showing up (in other countries) have massive pitfalls re tax, education- worse than here-and I think it just has to be studied on a case by case basis, by each individual. If we were going backwards, I'd be paying up and gone. Keeping afloat and maybe saving a bit for now? I'd stay. Funnily enough, whilst employed out here youre probably more likely to encounter opportunities or people that may lead you to new jobs, new fields, world wide. Not sure if I can say the same for home right now.

You can start your day with a cup of water with a squeeze of lime juice in it, followed by one small piece of fruit. Half an hour after that have half a cup of wholegrain rice. For the rest of the day as much pref. raw but cooked ok, vege's. As much water as you can manage ( and sometimes a cup of hot water makes you think you're getting something out of it.) No alcohol, no tea, no coffee, no salt, no butter, no oil, no nothing else. and you can do that one up to 7 days.

we had to give a deposit when we first got here and moved into an aprtment, serapnina, thought that and your security deposit, maintenence and agent fees were the same regardless if villa or flat?
