The compound I live in is less than 10 mins to Education City in Al Gharrafa. Many people who work there live in the compound. There are 2,3,4 bed fully furnished villas. I know that there is currently one two bed and one three bed villas that are vacant. I think the 2 beds go for about 11,000-12,000 fully furnished and cheaper unfurnished. The compound is called Al Jazi Village I. You don't need an agent to rent the villas. The LuLu is about a five minute drive or 20 minute walk. You can also walk to some other shops. http://www.alfaisalholding.com/divisions/property/al-jazi-real-estate-investment-company.aspx Good Luck!

Origins is great. Just go to the website and submit an enquiry and they will get back to you very quickly with a time to come look at the sofas at their location in West Bay. originssofas.com. I think they have curtain as well.

Hi. Did you try contacting Origins? They have nice sofas and offer custom curtains/blinds. They do work at the Pearl and from what I have seen it looks pretty nice. http://www.originssofas.com/

I would check out Al Jazi Village 2. It is located in Al Gharafa. We looked at the five bedroom villas but they have more space than we needed. I am pretty sure the villa had a separate maid's room with outside entrance. Some of the six bedroom villas have their own pool. I currently live in another Al Jazi property nearby and many of my neighbors send their children to Compass. This is a new compound and I would just call the office and see if anything is available. 974 44838786. Al Jazi Village 1 is also a nice option with four bed villas. http://www.alfaisalholding.com/divisions/property/al-jazi-real-estate-investment-company.aspx

I would highly recommend Studio Qatar. I just had two fine art prints framed. The price for two 18x25 prints, one with mat one without, both in frames only cost 440QR. This is less than I would have paid to have one print framed in the US. Needles to say I was pleasantly surprised. Salwa Road is a mess. So here are the best directions I can provide. On Salwa heading away from Industrial between Al Wakra Main Street and Doha Expressway. There was an International Bank of Qatar on the corner of the roundabout (decoration r/a?) before we turned into the stripmall which was under construction. There is a large fence that partially blocks the stripmall. You have to park outside of the stripmall – pretty much on the side of Salwa. Studio Qatar is in the same shopping center as Sedar Showroom.

I am always up for a Starbucks. I work full time at a university in Education City so I can't join any daytime chats. If you get together anytime after 5pm or weekends let me know. I would so love to join. If you end up at Paul's enjoy Croissant for me! Ashley

Aimi..I have been feeling the same way. I am 28 and recently moved to Doha. I don't have children or a dog...only a husband. ;) That makes it difficult to meet others. My villa compound seems to center around children. Which I love, but like you, I am just not there yet. I am going to email you and Katrina. I would love to meet up.
