Hey dlt ... I'm a Feline Friends fosterer and have had two pet cats here for 5 years. Although FF dont support letting your cat go outdoors, I think it really depends where you live and what your 'cat neighbourhood' is like. I let my cats out 'supervised' ie when I am here with the door open. One stays in the garden and doesn't go any further, the other ventures into neighbouring gardens but thats about it. Neither have had any bad experiences with getting into fights etc. B the w I currently have 3 x 8 week old non Feline Friends kittens here free to good homes that I rescued on the understanding they had homes, but these have fallen through :( one black and white boy, one largely black girl, one tabby and white girl. If interested email me missuswalker @ yahoo dot co uk :)

Here, here Sue and CP. We brought our two dalmatians with us 5 years ago, and it was completely the right thing to do. One of them died quite suddenly 6 weeks ago CP, so know emotionally where you are this morning.

I saw Sabrina yesterday and she had already emailed Amanda of Great Danes in Dubai as well, but no response as yet. K9 Friends had suggested contacting the Municipality.

I would get him down there tomorrow ... dont want to overly worry you, but my girl dog refused to eat last Friday night and was dead by 11 am Saturday morning ... Turned out to be stomach/pancreatic cancer ... She did look 'sick' like she had a bug or was going to vomit, but had eaten her breakfast fine Friday morning. As you can imagine we have had a rough week :( edited by assisi on 18/10/2011

If there are any black cat lovers out there wanting to add to their black cat family, I have a gorgeous all black girl, about 4/5 months old, had all vacs, chip, and neutering, looking for her forever home. Okay with other cats and dogs, and loves her toy rabbit's head! Quite a dainty panther! Was rescued when someone saw her being swept out the door of a building by a cleaner like she was rubbish. missuswalker @ yahoo dot co uk

If you are the community centre side of Saheel look as far as the shops for him ... There is a growing 'cat community' there and he might have decided to join in!

Had a look at them on google earth there are some that run between EGC and SZR (about 28 in two rows) and some that run between EGC and The Views/Greens (about another 20). Thinking they might be expensive though as prob have golf course views ...

We stayed at The Asian Jewel ... It is a small boutique hotel (5 or 6 rooms), run by a very helpful and welcoming British couple who live there too .... Its just like a big villa, with a pool too, overlooking a lake, 5 mins from the beach ... Really want to return but they are always getting booked up now as word has spread ...

Basically for anyone interested it described a dodgy man who would rehome your pet only to go and re-sell it at Sharjah Animal Market ... The poster said she had rehomed her Persian cat to him, only for it to be sold there to another family, who then contacted regarding the original owner to get the chip number registration changed which is how they found out about it ... Be warned ... Always rehome your pets to people you trust and take references if necessary.

For sky sports you need to subscribe to Sky Go and also use vee-pee-en. However the Sky Go app isn't compatible with the connecting to telly lead like other tv player apps are.

We have a separate cinema system that the sound goes through plugged into tv ... I would also suggest changing the iPad lead that runs to your hdmi lead ... We had a problem with a similar one that ran to our MacBook pro and it was faulty.

Yes well we were originally going to go with the vouchers and go a la carte, but the vouchers cannot be used for the buffet. We worked out though that the buffet was better value than using vouchers on the a la carte.

DH and I went to Toshi a Grand Millenium in Barsha last night. Now we went ages ago when it just opened and had an enjoyable meal, however, were unaware that they now do a buffet night 4 times a week with free flowing beverages for 215 aed a head (or buffet with just one glass of wine or beer for 165 aed, or a champagne option at 400 plus). The nights are Friday, Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. Really good sushi and sashimi, teppenyaki and tempura, crispy duck and dimsum, plus lot more. The place was full (obviously word has got around), staff were attentive with refills, with a choice in the White wine of Chardonnay or Sauvignon blanc, and choice of 4 different beers, plus 4/5 spirits. You could also have red wine, rose or sparkling rose. Husband isn't a fish eater, and although Friday night is labelled 'seafood night' there was plenty non-fish to keep him happy. Can't wait to go on a Thursday which is entitled 'thai night' ... Just thought I'd share. edited by assisi on 27/08/2011

The smallest one is about 7/8 weeks old, is black and white, and only has a 1inch long tail because we think some nasty person chopped it off when he was small! He waves his little tail in the air though when he's happy! I also have two ginger/White girls about 11 weeks old, one all black girl about 15 weeks old, and all ginger boy about 7/8 weeks old and an all White female about 5 months old.
