I've found more tonight :( Is there anything I can do? Obviously it's a lot to do with pressure of baby? will keeping off feet / lying down help to reduce the swelling of them or more coming?

Can you describe the pain pingu? I've been told by a few drs now that I have a high pain tolerance so I'm never sure if something is wrong or not, if that makes any sense at all? My groin / pelvis region is tender ( I would describe) and what i would say is sore to lift my legs higher than a step, needless to say the stairs at home are becoming a very big struggle (especially with no dwnst loo!) I have to sit to put pants on and sometimes I can feel pain in pelvis too. I feel like the baby is going to pop out / fall out!

No can do until after 2 years. Even if value has gone up. RERA can tell you if house price where you live has gone up but will also advise LL cannot increase until after 2 years. You need to call rera first then write an email or letter to your LL if your LL does increase or chooses not to renew your contract to put someone else in there at higher rent, RERA will take your complaint.

no real words of wisdom or advice hiccup but I hope that someone has some idea as to what may be going on with him so you can get some piece of mind. Also perhaps you could try a child behaviourists or psychologists here, to see if they can shed some light? It may just be a phase he is going through?? sending cyber hugs.

I take Calcium / Magnesium tablets too - advised by doctor (here) and naturopath (in Aus). I was taking one but meant to have been taking 2... so up'ed it to 2, still got cramps so naturopath said 3 is ok. Plus need to drink loads of water. I'm drinking about 4lts a day... I drink a 1.5lt at dinner time / just after and if I don't drink that (as I have found out this week opting for a pepsi instead a couple of nights ago) then I suffer so badly with cramps in my legs every time I turn over at night time. Up'ed my dose to 3 tablets a day and back drinking the water at night time too. We have just recently put our A/C back on in our bedroom too so a combination of not drinking enough water, the ac and not having enough of the tablets probably hasn't helped. I take the brand Osteocare or Calcicare (white box with blue and black writing I think) ... something like that.

Ohhh all very exciting getting closer. To be honest it has only been this past week that I have started to feel clucky and connected to this munchkin. It may have quite a bit to do with the horrific dreams I have had about things but am glad the instinct has kicked in coz for a while I had been wondering if it's possible to love this 2nd one as much as the first. My mum is coming on the 27th march, 1 week before EDD but DS1 was 2 weeks early and she has been asking if this munchkin will be too... I dunno... Am hoping not to go over, have had enough ... Back killing, sick of bing sick with colds and bronchitis etc (finally feeling good past 2 days, here's hoping no more colds. I have doubled much of my vitamins as per naturopaths instructions so fingers crossed it's the boost needed). Oh do I sympathize redleaf I have had thrush pretty much the entire pregnancy too, as soon as I have anything sweet, which of course this time round everything I want to eat is sweet n sugary, I've had very bad cases of it. After the glucose test was the worst. Blah! Wishing you all smooth sailing last few pregnant weeks. Looking fwd to hearing birthing stories. Hope you feel better TanyaR. Xox

DS was born 38 weeks on the dot but had fluid on his lungs. He was in nicu for the fluid for 3 days, then turned jaundice so given he was on antibiotics for the fluid and they had to come take him every so often to give him the antibiotics, he went back into nicu under lamps. In total it was 5 days. At the start when he was whisked away it took a while to get answers and DH kept getting told he couldn't go in to see DS as they were doin x-rays on his chest. I can't remember how long it was before we were finally allowed down to see him. For memory it was about 3 hrs but I could be wrong, it may have just felt that long. After this initial shock and dilemma though the doctors in the NICU were fantasic as were the nursing staff. I found one of the younger nurses to be rather protective of my son, perhaps a bit too much so because when talking to me i felt she was being somewhat degrading with how to feed, hold etc. This being said however I was rather emotional and hormonal as ever mother would be in this situation I'm sure. The other 2 nurse DS had looking after him during the time were just beautiful. Very caring and supportive and I didn't at all feel inferior as a new mother when I would see them. By day 4 I think I had actually warmed to the other nurse too, it was as if she has softened some what. But then that really could have been more my issue than her. I am fully confident with the nicu team at city hospital. At the time we were there there was also a few babies born at 30-34 weeks. Staff were very tentaive to each of them and there was a feeling of utter care when you would see any of the babies being handled by the docs and nurses. All of the nurses in there looking after my DS were filapina but there were 2 others I didn't really meet from sth Africa and somewhere else. Hth.

You could always ask your doctor to do a sweep. I was 39 weeks and no sign of movement. Dr did a sweep and next day I went into labour. Worth a try. I think your cervix needs to be softening though for a sweep? Hoping the acupresure and meditation work or you barboram. But just remember what ever the case maybe, a healthy bubba is the most preious thing and how he/she comes into the world is what it is / will be.

There are twoin the baby shop similar colours, brown/ tan one is about 800 but then there is the cheaper one which we got and apart from extra padding on the more expensive I really don't know what the diff is. Ours is great!

Hectic! Lol. You probably well aware of that!? We have another boy on the way so I will be severely out numbered with husband, DS1 and 2 plus 2 male dogs! I am struggling this time pregnancy wise... I mean it's not bad but I think I was so spoilt first pg. About every 10 days or so since the start I've been loaded with ear infections, common cold and even bronchitis recently! My pelvis is soooo sore with babies head already down and he hasn't really changed direction. My pelvis is actually cracking / clicking when I turn over in bed at night and sometimes it hurts I wakes DH with a gasp. :( I'm certainly on count down... I'm mentally preparing body and mind, any time from 22 march he can come on out! Funny story to wind up pg by accident ... We were the same. Going by charting I am still baffled as to how I'm pregnant! Lol. Well, not entirely but if you were someone thinking charting was safe way NOT to get pg... Then guess again! Lol. Wishing you all the best and can't wait to hear about #2s arrival. Wishing it a safe one. Xox

Our DS has never been the best sleeper but when he would wake screaming like you have mentioned 90% of the time he has had an ear infection. He never had fever with any of them and on only 2 occasions had a runny nose so we really had nothing else to go by for symptoms. I would always try gripe water first in case it was upset tummy but if he continued to wake and scream by day 3-4 I'd take him to dr and yep... Ear infection. Our strategy is try burping first and change nappy, next time try gripe water, 3rd wake up maybe Nurofen or baby panadol / calpol. Fingers crossed he settles for you soon :) and it's not anything making him uncomfortable

Totally over it... Our house just can't get rid of being sick ... I'm loaded with a cold almost every 2nd week it feels like. Due 4th April but I have been telling this rascal anytime from the 22nd march is fine by me! I'd like my body back now :) and my healthy immune system. The anger has subsided somewhat unless I'm noticeably tired then temper is quick to come. Patients isn't a strong point still. I look in the mirror each morning and ask myself where did the old me go... And can she come back. This other woman possessing her can be a right b*tch Oh and did I mention that I sorta electrocuted myself a couple of weeks ago? Crazy, but doc hooked me up to ECG machine to check my heart then the babies, all ok. The obgyn at the clinic I was at checked baby too. Noticed one of his kidneys is larger than should be but said that it could very well drain itself and may be because of his position, but to get it checked next can. I see Dr Elsa mid feb so will discuss and check then. All in all, terrified of #2 arriving, but want normal me back, but can't wait to meet him, but not ready for lack of sleep again. Ahh the joys. Tee hee hee.

We took snacks for both DH and I but even with a sip of water, the next contraction bought it straight back up... So you may not actually be able o snack on much thru labour but certainly have snacks there for after! Hospital supplied me steal pads but for when you get home, I used the mother care pack that had loads in it or about 40 aed. They were like boats but seriously they were the most comfortable of all I tried the first cpl of days home. Hospital had baby clothes and nappies, but we took some of our ow stuff in like a wrap, mittens and beanie for him to wear so it would get his scent on it and DH took them home next day for dogs to sniff and get ready for our rival home. We also took going home outfit for both DS and I. Some lucky women may get to go home in non maternity stuff, but that wasn't m case... I took my most fav maternity pants and a nice top to go home in. In the end it was middle of summer and we left hospital at 11pm so who really cares what I went home in! I got straight into pjs when we walked in the door! Lol. Undies you don't mind throwng out they may get stained. I was boiling in labour so much so I ripped off hospital gown and DH had to get cool flannel for my chest n face, but good idea re socks as we are all very different. I-pod n doc to have some your fav tunes playing either in labour or in ward later ... Tv can be boring! All the best for your birth!

He he funny we come to talk about this again novice! Congrats on your pregnancy and wishing you the bestfir the birth. We have gone Phil n teds explorer. You do need 2 hands to control it I find, not so easy pushing / steering with 1 hand especially on slanting drive ways. Brilliant over bumps etc and different turf though. Am starting to think we could have just got the buggy board and stuck that on the ol pram as DS1 prefers to walk everywhere now anyway and he is 90% good at listening and following me with walking next to me in shops etc. I investigated prices from everywhere ... Don't buy from oz... Too expensive! Try if you can to get us or uk. DC got the vibe I think hers is wider and frame thicker. Other than that I can't remember the differences between Phil n teds vibe and explorer. All the best! edited by AussiePup on 25/01/2012

See urban energy fitness... I have been training with them since I was 14 weeks pregnant with DS1 - he is now 19mths, and I'm 30 weeks with #2. They advertise through here I think still. You can do pre and post natal classes... Bubs can come with you to postnatal if you like... When your core is getting stronger and stomach muscles are back together they also have a few other fitness classes to choose from ...including my fav - kick boxing and running club. Forgot to say, whilst weather is great we train outside in umm suquiem park and then move indoors during summer. They also have classes offered at barsha park and safa for memory. edited by AussiePup on 25/01/2012

What stuff is she eating during the day? We found DS to be ok during the day but nights have always been huge issues for us until recently. We tried sooooo many sleep methods etc and have found much of his problems related to his diet. No dairy or wheat now and he sleeps through. I can see right back to 6-7 months and giving him yoghurt and even his formula etc, he was rather windy during day at times but because of moving around and playing with toys etc he was able to get rid of some of the wind... Night time not so. A few hints that it could be diet is wind during the day, constipation or even the opposite almost with a number of #2s during the day, belly looks bloated, burping still after milk feeds (this was our big one, DS used to burp after every bottle and then about 1 hr after sleep time he would wake crying until we settled him, he would relax and burp again and go straight back to sleep... DS is 19 mths now and we've only just worked out all these issues with food, he now doesn't need burping after bottles - no wind, he is on rice milk). If I come across issues like this when DS 2 arrives the first thing I will be doing is checking diet! Hth.

I use Tri Nature Baby Bath from Australia. Mum sends me it over when I need more or I get visitors to bring me a bottle. 1 bottle tends to last me about 2 months of washes with 3 squirts in the bath (although my LO is in the big bath now) and then 1 squirt into hands to lather on hair and body. I have found everything else dries his skin and he gets eczema with J&J, Mustela etc. When he was a baby (after about 8 weeks) we introduced the baby bath, before then we used only water. At 8 weeks in was one pump lathered on the hands and wash all of him with it (1 bottle back then was lasting me about 4+ months). I think it can also be sent over here if you order directly from the website if you were interested.

I was thinking of you the other day AussiePup. Have things settled down in your villa now? How's it all going? (Sorry to hijack) Yes thankfully. I hope I haven't jinxed myself by saying that though. Lol. We have turned off all the sprayers because the pressure in the house bursts them all the time, we don't use them anyway. And just recently the electricity needs checking as some light switches keep blowing lights. Other than that things are ok. A/cs are mostly off at mo with winter but when putting one on the other day that's been off for a few weeks it was smelling dusty / moldy smell again but only for a bit until it had been running for a while. We are settled though so fingers crossed nothing else too bad goes wrong. Have a stream of visitors arriving from march when ds2 is due, right through to September Thx for thinking of us! Darling3 hope ur water fixed.

You probably can't tell unless you open a tub of ice-cream. If it's thawed and refrozen it would have a different look and texture to it, like a more smooth (?) creamier look instead of the ripple look as you dig the spoon in to grab some.

Might ask that qtn tomorrow at my check up. As for enema, I had planned to have one but my body basically emptied itself when I went into labour ... Didn't think I was ever going to get off the toilet! Lol. So by time we got to hospital and I needed to go again there wasn't much ominous by that stage, I didn't bother with enema, u may just want to play that by ear. All the best :)

Hi maxandme, U sound like us! Been there and just going back through it again as we have just returned from holiday and ds 18mths was sleeping in the same room as us all the time so got use to us being there when he woke up. However in saying that we have tried soooooo many dif sleep techniques and recycled them to try again thinking something may work coz it had been a while since we tried x,y,z method. In the end we had a behaviorist help us and she narrowed it o 2 things, one we did was cry it out method, took 4 nights of ds screaming 1.5-3 hrs us going in in 30 min intervals and being stern and telling him "we love you, but it's bed time, go to sleep' then walk out again. 4 nights and then he started settling himself and no wake ups... That lasted 5 nights!!! So I emailed the beja journey and we looked at the 2nd possibility... Dairy and wheat. I took him off formula as he was still on that but needed burping after every bottle plus when he would wak the first time of a night he always needed burping then too. Cows milk he gloats with, so I tried goats and camels milk, neither worked that well... Now I've narrowed it o oat and rice milk and think we are going to stick with that for a bit. I've also taken all other dairy other than goats cheese from his diet and eliminated most wheat (no bread, pasta, etc). Just before our holiday he had about 2 weeks of this diet and no wake ups or if he did he let out a little whimper and went bk to sleep himself. I also have him on a probiotic now too, from organic shop Whilst we were away I had hard time trying to find rice milk, found 1 carton! that was annoying, I used nan lactose free formula instead but with that plus getting bits of bread or what ever when we were out he woke every night we were away. Now bk home I can start controlling it better and I'm hoping the last 3 nights have just been him getting the "junk" out his system... Perhaps you could try changing the milk to see if that helps. I found oat milk kept ds fuller longer but gives him bad nappy rash, so I give him the rice milk just an extra 30 mls of it at night time. Hope u get some relief soon. It's awful having broken sleep still, I totally sympathize.

I feel enornous too was this size with DD at 36 weeks when I delivered her, very uncomfy already!! Hi Pingu I'm with Dr Elsa too :) might catch ya in the hospital :) still sick too - back from SA this morning and i have ear infections in both ears, needless to say the descent was not nice at all :( i thought the bronchitis was clearing up and didn't really feel any discomfort in my head... but not to be. Went to dr today and he has given me ear drops, nose spray and more antibiotics. I can hardly hear out my right ear ... he said he hadn't seen ears this bad in a long time and lucky that my right didn't burst on the plane. :( Eughhhhh! blah. Hope everyone else is ok. I have my glucose test tomorrow - was meant to go this morning but we only got in at 3am and I so couldnt be bothered driving there this morning when I got up.

Have bronchitis and feel like a lead balloon, especially on nye and nyd, but not too bad today, starting to feel a little better. Sux to be sick on holiday! I looked back at photos of this many weeks with ds and I currently look like I did at 33 weeks with ds1, yet am only 27 this week. Doh! Feel 40 weeks :) really can't wait or this pregnancy to run it's course, my immune system this time has been through the floor and I'm catching every bloomin sniffle ds or dh get. Blah!

Hi there, until ds was a about 14mths and wanted to start brushing his teeth after watching us, I just used advice from a friend which was to take a flannel / face washer, wet it, put toothpaste if you want then massage the teeth and gums with your pointer finger covered in the face washer. If you put tooth paste the just be sure to use another section of face washer with just water to rinse off the toothpaste. Hth.

Thx green-ish I haven't yet had chance to look at web in detail. Have subscribed to the Nicole Nicola? One and have hardly had chance to read that. Will get there! We are off on holiday tomorrow, 2 nights Abu dhabi then bk here then off to south Africa for new years. DS will of course be sleeping in same room as us whilst away so I figure we try to deal with sleep problems on return, which will hopefully give me time to read more. DC- u have the book green-ish is talking about yeah? Can I borrow if so.

So after a couple of nights of successful sleep thoughts and I only mean 2 complete no waking at all since we thought CIO had worked ds is back to usual 11.30-2.30 screaming headoff. We are at our wits end. I've even taken him to doc to be checked and he is in good health. We don't know what else to do we just want our little boy to sleep!!!!!!

Sorry to hear about the pain in your feet... Doesn't sound nice at all. Hope you can get that sorted. I can't get over the rage in me. I've never been a short fused person or angry, always work through a tough situation and try to learn from it and see the positives but omg these hormones and ds1 still screaming for 2 hrs at night isn't helping me... I'm snappy and feel like I could go a good boxing session with mike Tyson and win! :) What's with that!?
