Hi I've received a text from Dubai police stating that a traffic ticket had been issued two days ago. I checked on the Dubai police website and it says that The ticket is for overtaking where prohibited on alitihad road. The fine is 600 dirhams plus a black point. I haven't been on itihad road in ten days and wouldn't a police officer have to physically stop me to issue me this ticket? What do I do? I'm pretty certain this is a mistake any suggestions would be appreciated.

Congratulations!! I'm starting my CACHE level 3 in September and am still looking for a job. Would it be rude to ask how much to expect in terms of salary as a TA or Teacher? To answer your question I think your husband is right. Best of luck with your new job!

Hugsys I paid 200 for each curtain so 800 for four curtains. I love my curtains from dragon mart and I think they're quite reasonably priced! The problem with places like dragon mart is that when u see something in the store ur not sure it's nice but trust me once u bring ur curtains home they'll look ten times better than they did in the shop. Just choose the fabric carefully and tell the tailor ur concern I'm sure he will b able to answer u better

http://www.magicmoo.co.uk/userimages/CURTAINS-PINCH.jpg I got four of these made yesterday for 800 from dragon mart the guy initially quoted 1000! The 800 includes two double rods and two hooks. Get quotes from two different shops and then decide. Best of luck.

Hi! Guess what? We did exactly that yesterday! I'm in JBR I went downstairs to Thrifty rent a car and got a corolla 2012 for 2500dirhams for 20 days. They only allow you to go to Oman through hatta border. We told the guy at the Oman customs office that we didn't want to go into Oman and just planned on taking a u turn back to UAE. We paid 150 dirhams for the three of us we have American passports. If u plan on going into Oman then you will need to purchase insurance at the border. Don't know how much that would be. HTH

I live in Sadaf and have a2 bedroom apartment our laundry room does have a boiler in it ive put the washing machine next to it along with cleaning supplies. Theres a door in the room that opens to the service lobby which we don't use. Before moving we looked at quite a few apartments. I think we saw one in amwaj which had a laundry room next to the kitchen and it also had the boiler in there. Whereas the "storage room" was completely empty. So maybe you should look around I hope u find what ur looking for. edited by ayaana on 23/06/2012
