omg, mabruk,GC! yay, our 2nd march mum now! so lovely.. as for me, i was 4 cms dilated as of yesterday but no other symptoms except brown dishcarge. OB wanted to break my water but DH and i decided to wait for things to happen naturally..got 2 days sick leave and am sitting at home trying not to get bored out of my mind! also, my OB says its full moon tomoz which apparently mean pregnant mumies more likely to break water! good luck everyone :)

You can check out More breakfast prices on their website..they have their brekkie menu on there as well so you can get an idea of what is available..I think the full english is the highest priced at AED 50 odd...they do pancakes, fruit and yoghurt, etc.. I like the Whittards of Chelsea brekkie too but no marina view unfortunately although you can choose the outdoor seating..

Yes, coconell, I will be attempting VBAC this time..fingers crossed as last time they told me my pelvis was too small for my 4kg bubs :( My epidural failed as well so i had no pain relief whatsoever either...oh gaawdd..really don't want to remember it too much as it was beyond awful! Of course my bubs was worth it but my goodness the **** we women go thru! I have my next appt on Wednesday and will have my kilimanjaro of a bump measured again..last week i was measuring 42 when i was actually 38 weeks - yikes! Wonder what this week will bring - not looking forward to the internal exam where it feels like my OB is shoving her entire fist up my VJJ! Plus, guess what, my OB is out of town all of this weekend...Lord help me!

As a toddler, i think he is alright to use a front-facing car-seat..do not make any compromise even if he kicks up a fuss at first. Kids adapt very quickly and he will accept it soon enough as long as you are firm.

Had my check up this morn and am 2 cms dilated which is normal apparently..am completing 38 weeks tomorrow inshalla! God, is it just me or does everyone hate these vaginal exams? Doc did a swab as well today to check for Group B strep.. After measuring me she said I am measuring well beyond my dates..in fact I am measuring 42 weeks...eeeek! Because of this i will need to go for a scan to check the exact measurements of Peanut. If he/she is on the bigger side then my dream of attempting a VBAC this time is going to come to an abrupt end :( I don't really mind at this point...just want my baby here safely... Just waiting for my insurance approval now so I can schedule this scan ASAP and find out whats what!

I have steered clear of sushi but do still enjoy my smoked salmon...i make sure I buy a good brand and consume it within max 2 days. We have a packet in the fridge that's been open for 4 days and I wont be having it anymore now - DH is happy to polish it off!

yup, according to my doc, if you have had one c-section already and opt for another one the second time round then this is counted as 'repeat section' not 'elective'. The best way to find out about your insurance is to ask them as it all depend son your package and the fine print.. I know personally my insurance doesn't cover electives...

Just to update everyone, we finally received our bean bad about 10 days ago..hmmphh..the courier who brought to us didn't even have it wrapped in plastic or anything to show it was new/unused ..it was literally dragged on the floor all the way to our flat so was covered with streaks of dust when we got it It is comfortable though and my 5 yr old as well as my DH love it for playing their playstation games, etc but really don't think it was worth AED 200..oh well..thank god it actualyr arrived at some point! hope the rest of you had happy endnings..

My EDD is 17th March..my bump is hanging so low though..it is starting to rub on my thighs when i sit down and is SO uncomfortable! Last night DH rubbed some massage oil on it before bed and it felt much better..trick is to keep it heavily moisturized i think so it sort of slips and slides..gaaawwd...MOTHERHOOD! This weekend we put together the crib bed in our room..it looks so sweet there i must say..and every time DH comes into our room now he gives a double-take and says ' Bl**dy H*ll! this is really happening!' - LOL edited by Ayda247 on 26/02/2012

I had a bought a pack of two from M&S for AED 275 but then Mothercare went on sale and I realised i could get a pack of two for under AED 150 or something so back the M&S ones went! The Mothercare ones were a bit basic and not as pretty but hey this is for breastfeeding not hot nights with the hubby and the savings on it made it worth it.... The sales are over now as you are a bit late but i was at M&S the other day and thought i saw a pack of two for AED 200..they really are very pretty and nice colours so if you dont mind spending AED 200 you can get those..

Believe it or not, ladies, i just got discharged from hospital for food poisoning for the THIRD TIME! have had incredibly sensitive tummy this pregnancy..and before anyone asks me, no, it wasnt outside food, i just made a berry smoothie with low fat milk and frozen berries , put in it my flask to take to work the next day..not sure if this was it but i had HORRIBLE stomach cramps, vomiting and diarrhea (sorry TMI i know)..anyway ended up in emergency as usual and got admitted and put on drips overnight again for severe dehydration..sigh..even the nurses are telling me now ' next time we see you it better be in the labour ward!' lol... alhamdula, depsite the food poisoning, peanut is still doing well so far and no cause for concern as per the doctor. Ladies, i am getting so tired now and feel like a huge water balloon..my wedding ring wont come off as i have left it too late and i am SO ready to have this baby! hi everyone, just finished 36 weeks today - woooo! Am due on 17th march and planning on starting maternity leave on 15th march - crazy i know but trying to squeeze out every day of my pathetically short maternity leave (45 calendar days!) with my baby! Am having to take almost all my annual leave plus a month unpaid too. Wonder if i will deliver early though..am absolutely huge! Have gained 15 kilos but had started about 8 kilos overweight anyway so not too good - hopefully can shift most of it after baby gets here...to top it all off my brother is getting married 3rd week of april so i have to try and be back in some kind of shape by then..eeek! have no clue what to wear for the wedding but must plan/decide before baby arrives as will be so busy after! how is everyone doing..love this thread.. xoxoxo edited by Ayda247 on 16/02/2012

My friend has been made redundant (and she is 4 months pregnant) - she has been offered one month pay - should this be 3 months? We weren't sure but thought the law said something like this..does anybody know? She has been told her role is no longer required - she worked as a PA to a senior manager who has now been transferred elsewhere. much appreciated...

Right, ladies - update on this! Just got a reply from Groupon (finally!) saying: [b'> We are sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you. We never want experiences like this to happen to our customers and we feel badly when they do. We are happy to work with you towards a satisfactory resolution. Please bear with our partner as they are ensuring that all our valued customers are being attended to accordingly. We have been advised that the product will be delivered within 7-10 days. If you will be able to wait until then, it is our pleasure to be of service. Otherwise, we will be more than willing to offer a refund in any case. Should you have any further concerns on this, please feel free to email back or call our Customer Support Number 04 457 9494, Sundays thru Thursdays between 9:0am - 6:00 pm."[/b'> Thank you Fatimaa, as it seems your idea of ccing 10 times worked as they only replied after I did this! My DH is set on getting this bean bag so i will sit tight and wait instead of asking for a refund...hope we get our orders soon inshalla! edited by Ayda247 on 06/02/2012

this is really bad..the phone line is just continuously busy and zero response on email. They have our email addresses and were very quick to debit our cards so you would think if theer was delay they could at least send us an email and let us know..very disappointing and a shame as I have never had problems with groupon before but have to admit this is the first (and last!) time i am buying a tangible item..usually go for service-type deals/meals, etc..
