Most pet relocating companies in Dubai charge ridiculous rates. My advice would be do it yourself. It is not that difficult. You do need Frontline tick and flea treatment. and worming. This is a useful link from the British Veterinary Clinic in Abu Dhabi. http://www.britvet.com/travel/

Wrong information regarding drive time Dubai to Shangri La. Realistic without delays 5-6 hours. I live in Oman and when I leave Dubai in Downtown area to Azaiba Muscat on a good run 4.15 hours. Shangri La another hour if traffic is not horrendous.

Sorry........I said yes meaning I did have household insurance and yes there is crime. The first night I moved into my villa in Azaiba the British family who lived opposite me was ransacked whilst they were on holiday. It is worth having in my opinion.
