stovetop - hang in there!!! we're at the end! a friend gave me a great piece of advice...she said, we work ourselves up in fear of whats to come. instead of saying no no, i cant. simply say, Yes. scream it through delivery if you have to. i thought it was perfect. no one is going to say its easy - but little positives like this will help you through it. remind yourself of all the women who have gone before you - that youre made for this. you can do it. and we cant wait to hear your news of baby girl stovetop. youre just hours away - paint your nails, put your feet up and breath. i love your attitude!!! good luck tomorrow!! let us know how it goes!!!

AH was great, excellent experience, great staff, everyone was very nice and helpful, can't say enough of good things. The only thing that was bad (just remembered) was the food. Thank goodness for my DH, he was my oncall delivery guy :)

FINALLY!!!! Yay!! Welcome to the world Liliana! :) Enjoy your babymoon, Barbara. Was it a normal delivery? I'm scheduled to go in for an induction Fri night/Sat early morn, so so so scared. :( Tx stovetop, nothing to be scared off when it comes to inductions. This was my second one, normal delivery. You will have gel put on and will be waiting for contractions and dilation. It could be a long process. I went in on sat night at 9:30pm and Liliana was born on Sunday at 4:49pm. You will need lots of patience. My dh and I were super bored till it was time to push. So bring magazines, books, things to do, or it might go by quick. Best of luck. Let us know how it all goes. Speedy delivery for you!

I had the same problem with my DD. We went to see Dr. Ikramullah at Dermacare and he is wonderful. He prescribed some cream mixture that just worked wonders and cleared up her eczema. He is on Al Wasl Rd. Good luck!

Will be exactly 38 weeks tomorrow, saw the dr yesterday and the head is down, but that's about it. All my dr said is the baby will be on time. Let the count down begin!! I really need to stop procrastinating with my hospital bag and get it done. Anyone else due first week of March? DC2DXB - how's it going?

Hi Orchard, how did it go? I hope all is well and it was just implantation bleeding. I was spotting with DD at 8 weeks for about 2 weeks and all was ok, but was devastated and thought of the worse. Let us know how it went.

I take Gaviscon and yes it is nasty, however the relief is amazing, It's soooo worth taking it. Just take it quickly and have a sip of water afterwards. Good Lucks. I also have had BH for a while now, but they are not painful, just uncomfortable for about a minute or so and then they go away. I feel enormous and am soooo ready to have this baby.

is it bad i havent done the hospital bag yet? I feel like im not going to have some hollywood moment where i need to run out...but i guess i should get started on it. i keep freaking out about my water breaking in some horrible embarrasing moment - not the labor itself. hmmmm you're not the only one, my bag is sitting empty in the closet, i figured i still have time, how hard can it be just to throw everything in, the nursery is all ready so we're just sitting tight here waiting for THAT moment, whenever that will be :)

I had my first DD at the American Hospital 2 years ago and can't say enough of positive things. I'm 36 weeks pregnant with #2 and Dr. Raj is my OBGYN. She is wonderful. My DH and I like her a lot. Overall the AH has great facilities. Like someone mentioned here before there was a new addition to the building and they have expanded the maternity ward. The rooms are nice. It doesn't feel like you're in a hospital. When it comes to appts with Dr. Raj she is pretty booked up but she will always see you/squeeze you in when in need. She gives her mobile number in case you have any questions. I know some drs do not do that. Good luck with making your decision. I would recommend to see both drs and see which one you like and find comfortable to be with.

we had our DD sleep in her own room since day 1 and it's the best things we've done (in my opinion). Our 2nd baby is due to arrive soon and have intentions of doing the same. I BF exclusively for 7 mos and that was fine. i just went into her room during the night when it was feeding time and put her back down to sleep. Our bedrooms are quite close so you can hear everything. She was able to settle down on her own very easily. I hope this will work for Bub #2.

aw bless, first of all congrats! well not on the nausea but on your pregn! i would just take some crackers with you, saltines or something like that, also some almonds, they are good to snack on and sip water in between. You don't want your stomach to be empty at all. Now, I know this is easier said than done, but you just have to force yourself. Been there with 2 pregnancies and really bad nausea and lived pretty much on bread and butter the first 4 months and got through it. If someone asks you about your nausea and or vomitting just tell them you have a stomach bug, thats all. Best of Luck!

I have been so sick for the past few days. been down with a bad cold, awful sore throat, when I cough I feel like my throat is on fire, now I have a runny and stuffy nose. Have not been able to sleep for the past few nights, it's been awful. I just hope I can get all better before the LO decides to come. it sucks being sick and not able to take anything for it. Hope everyone is healthy! Ugh, that was me a week back. I know exactly how you feel... hope you start feeling better soon! Tx, did you take anything for your cold? Or did it just go away on it's own? I was ultimately put on antibiotics because the fever kept coming back and the doc said that's what she was worried about since it indicated pneumonia. If it's just a cough, stick to home remedies... unless of course it gets really uncomfy and u can probably mention it to your nurse? I called my nurse before the onset of the fever and she asked to take this cough syrup called Sinecod. tx Stovetop!

Tx Ladies. I guess my dilemma is whether this cold will go away on its own or at least show some signs of me getting better in the next few days, then I'd rather hold off the medicine, but if it persists for another week or so then i don't think I can take it. I haven't slept at night in the last 4 days and also have a toddler to take care off. its not easy! It feels like there is a light at the end of the tunnel when you post things here and everyone is so kind to give their input, TX again!

I would not just take a Dyson anywhere to get it repaired. It is a very expensive vacuum and like I mentioned before it has a 10 year warranty which will cover a motor if that is the case.

Your child needs to be 4 years old to start KG1. If you go on the specific school of your choice website, the admission age will be explained. Each school is different and has different cut off dates. edited by Barbara19 on 16/01/2011

when my DD turned 2 I started giving her low-fat milk and she is fine with it. She drinks a lot of it so I'm not concerned that she is getting too much fat.
