I think the Palm is heaven. We live in a Garden villa on one of the Fronds. My boys have lots of friends there & spend a lot of time on outdoor activities like Kayacking, cycling etc.

What an interesting thread and even more interesting to note how varied peoples weekly spend is. RR I also spend AED1000 - AED1200 per week but we are a family of two parents, 2 teenage boys, & 1 house boy.

We also stayed at the Holiday Inn Resort in Phuket. It was fabulous. V beautiful and v well located. Enjoy yr holiday.

I totally agree wid u Shamat. We were standing in front and paid AED595 per ticket which is exhorbitant. Then we had to wait so long that my feet were caving in and by the end I just wanted to sit on the ground. V sad that she made such a late entry.

I agree. I've never heard of anything more bizzare than a doctor recommending general anesthic to get routinue dentisry work. You need to work on her fears as she will need to go regularly to see a dentist and just needs to get over her fear, which she will. All the best.

I would suggest a rattan/wicker one instead of wooden, as it will fade badly over time. All my outdoor wooded furniture needs a lot of maintenence as the sun is so harsh and fades wood. Homes R Us in Mazaya Centre have some lovely outdoor day beds.

Hongkong disney is definately not for slightly older kids as my boys found HK Disney v boring and prefered Ocean Park and the rides there.

My son is 17 & on the verge of flying the nest. My younger one is 16 so I too dont have that much time before my kids fly the nest. Snowflake your posts have touched such a spot in my heart. I will keep u in my prayers and I am already dreading gowing thru wht u r feeling next year. Why is life sooooo tough??? Sometimes I wish I had had my kids later in life and not when I was 23 yrs old. I also feel like turning the clock back and I would have lived my life differently. But I guess its not good to feel like this, & live in the past that one cannot change. We should all thank God for what we have and try and make the most of the situations we are in. All the best Snowflake....time is the best heeler and u will feel better eventually xx

Always attach both passports together & the Airline will not have an issue wid the name on the ticket as long as its on the passport in whatever shape & form. You should be fine.

I have foldable mattresses that I bought in Satwa for my guests. They cost AED50 a piece. V convenient to store & my guests said they were v comfotable :-)

If you go away without settling your mortgae, the bank will send your name to Dubai airport & u will never to able to visit this place ever again, without being caught at dubai airport & being sent off straight to jail. So pls bear in mind all these factors. I wish u all the best.

Kimball none of the prices quoted ever include alcohol. Only soft drinks & juices. I personally find Gulf Ventures has great food which is missing in a lot of other sfafris organised by other agents.
