RSA & Holiday Guard are good for Travel Insurance. You can call 800RSA for RSA or Dnata who sell travel insurance. Have bought mine along with tickets.

RSA also have an annual travel insurance policy. So does Holiday Guard. I bought mine when I travelled to Cairo from Dnata. You can also call 800RSA.

The Embassy of Spain is in Abu Dhabi. I had to go there personally myself when I applied for a Visa in November 2007. It was a Schenegan Visa but issued by the Spanish Embassy as I had to go to Barcelona from Dubai.

You would have gotten more with Emirates NBD cards. And Bella UK, 1200 Points is AED1200, so can spend them like cash AED1200. Call the bank on 600540000 & ask them to mail u your Voucher worth all the Plus Points you have and u can walk into any Dnata shop & redeem that Voucher. Hope this helps.

SalsB the Airmiles are worth almost nothing. i.e u need hundreds of thousands before u can exchange them for an over toaster. I personally use the Emirates NBD Dnata Platinum credit card that gets me Dnata points, one dnata point is worth AED1/ which I can then spend like cash, for tickets on over 135 airlines. Am v happy wid it.

Hi WFTW, I feel 4 u and I wish people would cut u some slack here. Everybodys life, marraige & situation is different and no one else should judge that, is my opinion. If u track your finances separately then so be it. I'm sure u have yr own reasons for doing that. I think he reacted like a typical man, always defensive, but in the larger scheme of things his intentions were good and he was only trying to please u. So I hope u can be a lilttle bit calmer here and i'm sure the situation can be worked out. All the best x

I use the Emirates NBD Dnata Platinum credit card. All reward points earned through spends on this credit card have a dirham value of AED1. So all your reward points earned at the end of the month can be exchanged like cash for any airline ticket at Dnata and they sell over 130 airlines. I am v happy with this credit card and highly recommend it.

Stay at Taj View in a Taj facing room. Also an overnight stay is great as u can see the Taj by the moonlight. There are also many other forts near Agra so u can visit those too. As MB said yr budget will decide which hotel as 5 star hotels in Delhi can be v expensive. Palces to see in Delhi are Red Fort, Qutub Minar, Humayuns Tomb.

I have not heard of anyone being able to haggle in Marina stores. U can avail good prices during sale time, otherwise their prices are fixed. I would suggest see their store even at the Madinat, v pretty stuff and the prices are the same at Barsha, MOE & Madinat for similar items.

The VAT can be reclaimed if the invoice is addressed to a Company that is registered in the UAE, since only companies are allowed to claim on services, such as training courses. Also, it depends on the country as well. From the VAT rate of 20% I presume it is from the UK, in which case you can apply for a refund provided the above criteria is met.

We were in Phuket last August & it rained a lot. Sheraton Beach and Hiloday Inn resort are great 4 young kids. Dnata has packages starting at AED2800 for Thailand with hotels & air fare included, u might want to call them at 8008118. Have a great holiday.
