They can just go thru immigration like normal. I was travelling from Singapore to London , even though we lived here. I just went thru immigration as normal , went home , collected my warm clothes and went back to airport. All within 30 min

Ms Deb was co Owner of Waves and a fantastic teacher. She is now with OzzieSwim. Waves teachers have all followed her as Maya , the other owner is horrible. Heard she is really rude and everyone is leaving.

Singapore for sure. It is expensive , makes Dubai look cheap! I never wanted DH to work there as I had visited Singapore for a holiday and found not enough to do. But living there was fantastic. We had weekends away to many different countries and loved the expat community. edited by basil on 04/04/2014

Actually it is legal. Just hard to find and of course everyone wants it when their children are at school. When actually most part time jobs are after school or weekends. You have to be on your husbands visa, he writes a NOC letter , and then the company pays for the labor card . Which is 500dhs.

We booked 2 days private tour with a company www.toursbylocals.com. They arrange your visa so works out cheaper. If you just get a visa works out too expensive.

Yes ..It's expensive but well worth it. Unfortunately we had to move to a company compound and now realize why we loved living in Al Badia. Major points : the ease of getting in and out to major roads, security, cleanliness, school nearby, greenery, golf club, Festival City, Spinneys, childrens playground all within walking distance even in middle Summer. Maintenance very prompt. Now all renters are not getting their lease renewed and all villas and apartments are being sold. So unless you can rent off someone who has bought as an investment then impossible to live there.

Australia is very expensive now. So take this into consideration. Distances are extreme. So decide where and what you wish to see. I presume you are talking about Summer holidays.(Winter in OZ). If it's beaches you are looking at, then Sydney for Bondi or Manly. Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast are near Brisbane. 1 hr flight North of Sydney. The water is cold in Winter for swimming, 18c on the Coast and around 16c in Sydney. Sydney has wonderful walks around the harbour on both sides and the Hinterland from the Gold Coast also. Hope this has helped.

Anyone been in a partnership and all went bad ! My fault as didn't have it written well enough that the local partner could just take the lot! She isn't paying my profit share from last year and has locked me out of all admin. As they say you live and learn. And spend at lot of money at lawyers. I had the professional license and she admin, but now seems I have lost the lot. How do people live with themselves no matter what religion ?

This sounds exactly like all businesses here in UAE. DS took over 3 months to get money returned from an illegal transaction on his bank A/C. He spoke to so many people whereas in OZ it takes about a week to get it done! In saying that another DS booked a flight to Montreal thru a website but flew part way EK. We'll he wanted to come home early and the phone person was VERY helpful in changing his flight.Cost was very minimal. Read in 7 days last week about a man booking EK to UK so he could take his golf clubs and extra luggage. On return flight was Qantas flight and they wanted to charge him extra 1000dhs for clubs and over 23 kg luggage. He eventually changed to EK got his clubs and luggage for 500 dhs! So yes we do get frustrated with people speaking English as a 2 nd language but hang in there as Iam sure we can't speak their language or as many as they speak! Yes I only speak English !

I lived in Brisbane when they had the Expo 1988. The area was transformed into a great parkland next to the river. My family purchased a season ticket so we went about once a week and looked thru all the pavilions. the atmosphere was fantastic as it had a street parade and fireworks each night .

DS is with NBAD . Hopeless! Took over 3 months to get money back from fraudulent use. One of the phone operators told him he should keep his money safe!!! He said that is why it's in your bank not under my mattress. When nothing done for a few more weeks, DS rang again bank again and was told the last operator had noted "didn't understand what customer wanted" . So did nothing! OZ banks get money back to you in a week or 2!

I think why most Aussies become racists is that new immigrants want to bring their old country with them , NOT embrace the country that has given them a new start. Learn the history of the country, the language and become an AUSSIE.
