I finally got an agency that will come to Festival City area. Housekeeping and very happy, she comes early but works till the given time so does extra. Very happy with her, haven't had my shoes all sorted and tidy ever!,,Lol She even tidied under the vanity basin in master bathroom and today cleaned inside my fridge. So maybe change agency's ?

Can't believe it is so hard to open a bank account or my 16yr old son. 1st bank said he needs his father to sign to say ok for him to have one as he is under 21. 2nd bank ,he needs to keep 3000dhs in it or charged 25dhs per month, but if he went to Uni ,age 18 to 21,would be no fees. So where do we go so that DS can start controlling his own money. He gets. 150dhs per week allowance!

L'Occitane...Shea cream , fantastic .. I'm over the 1/2 century so need a great moisturizer and over my many years have tried nearly everything. With the dry weather here and air con on all he time ,think this is great. Then again everyone has their own needs,so just keep trying till you find one you like

Not going but live next to Golf club where it is being held. They have just made another car park for everyone. The roundabout between club house and residences has new entrance so you can drive into parking, if that makes sense BUT ...true to Dubai...it is too close to another road entering the roundabout sooooo will be a nightmare...good luck! Also you should have a 4x4 otherwise will get stuck in sand...maybe they will put gravel down today ?

Expensive ...but if you have any vouchers that would be better. Must admit the service and food was great but then not many people there so staff had nothing else to do..lol If after a steak maybe look at Terra Firma at intercontinental at Festival City edited by basil on 16/02/2012

I am sure no matter how much people try to convince you that dogs are part of the family you will not understand this! I hope you have lots of family around especially when you are home alone and lonely, because I have my lovely companions who will always give me love and company. This is why we have dogs or cats( I'm not a cat person) to have that never lonely feel. A zoo is for wild animals that is why they are behind fences, dogs are domestic animals meaning belong in a house . In saying my bit you will never change but please accept us that do love our dogs and they need a park to socialize like people who walk around shopping centers to do the same

I have Maytag...condenser Not really sure if they sell too many of the other type here ? Dries really well ,only 1 complaint the sheets end up in a ball,so keep stopping it to untangle. I use it everyday as don't like drying outside too much as sand gets in your clothes. Look at the LG as well heard good reports.

The fare is the same whether Dubai or Abu Dhabi. Most people OS don't know Abu Dhabi so they book to Dubai not knowing its a simple bus ride after landing. Anyway as long as you book in before flight leaves your on! In answer to Rosierat it's a different airline from Chicago to Houston and your bags would of been in different bins in cargo, or Etihad had to pay the other airline for your trip even if you didn't fly that sector?

Ok...I can really help you here as lived in Brisbane for ver 40 yrs! Yes I'm an oldie..lol Ascot and Clayfield is old money, in other words older generation that is snobbish and given their children the house oR money, very hard to fit in if you were not brought up there. All the kids go to private schools but in saying that Ascot primary is excellent . Western suburbs, starting at Toowong then Indooroopillly ,St Lucia,Chapel Hill, Kenmore then acreage at Brookfield , Anstead, all these FAB! State schools at St Lucia and Indooroopilly are rated best in state. So many private schools as well. But then that is just my views. No bogans in those areas

Both my DS are that size! Try more American companies as they tend to carry the big sizes. Timberland comes to mind as well as Bloomingdales ...I know expensive but sale on at the moment.Plus ask them where there stock goes after the sale,as sometimes the big or small are left and they send them off to outlet shops.

Know an Oz lady married to local whose children, hardly say may I ,can I ,excuse me...I am probably wrong but she says that the translation is hard for them as Arabic is their 1st language and apparently the way they structure their sentences it is not in it...If that makes sense! Anyway I still tell them say this or I won't let you. I still correct my older son whe he says me and my friend...NO its my friend and I. Always say yourself last. His present girlfriend doesn't lift her elbow off the table when eating but brings her mouth down to the fork...I shudder everytme we eat together edited by basil on 24/01/2012

Ok...where do I begin? Brisbane is on a river and takes about 1hr drive either way to get to the beaches...that is off peak of course! So many people commute now but it can take up to 2hrs of heavy driving especially at nights, when you are tired, to get home. The Gold Coast has the snail train ( soooo slow ) and packed. Takes a good 90mins from end of line ( Varsity Lakes ) to CBD. I have always been a Central ( Herston and Kelvin Grove area ) or Western suburbs ( Indooroopilly ,Kenmore ,Toowong) girl. Queensland Uni is in St Lucia which is beautiful area also . So look at domain.com.au have a look at Houses in different areas1st to see some prices and look of houses. If you are young, no children look at New Farm area also as close to river for walks and very trendy
