Dr Christian Jozsa! He has been a life changer for me.. I had my first DS 17 months ago via Csection. Awful, very traumatic birth... And then i found out i was pregnant again. We saw our usual OB in australia who strictly instructed another csection at 38 weeks as the two pregnancies were very close and my first bub was 4.20kgs. I saw other OB's, same answer.. We moved to Dubai 5.5 months ago and DrJozsa recommended a low cal diet and said natural birth, no problems. I was shocked!! I actually said no, i wont even try.. Over the months I researched the good the bad the awful, read horror stories and thanks to family and friends i decided not to try natural. But everytime I visited DrJozsa he would kindly and patiently tre-explain, all over and over again.... Last Tuesday I delivered my second DS naturally after 9 hours of labour (mind you active phase was 3.5hrs and i pushed 4 times!!!) This to me has been a blessing! My husband works fulltime and I have a super active toddler.. If i had another csection id be bedridden for day with no support...... Plus, every visit, before saying hi to us, DrJozsa would say hi to our son, give him a smile and make him feel welcomed. After the delivery as me and my husband thanked him, he gave us a massive hug.. Yes, he is blunt and doesnt talk much unless you ask and ask him, but he is a fantastic professional who knows his subject, and has kind and gentle bedside manners. Wish i met him with my first! Good luck!

Hi Ladies! My newbie arrived 6 days ago ☺ I'm home alone with him and my 18month old. I have no house keeper/maid or nanny. My hubby works 24/7. Any advice, apart from "get a maid or nanny" as to how to handle the 18 month old whilst breastfeeding the newborn or putting the newborn to sleep?... Thanks in advance..

Anyone know of a good company that cleans pools, doesnt rip Expats off and doesnt stare at you if you are in the pool?

With my first pregnancy i put on 42, yes, 42 kilos. I went from 62 to 104. The moment my boy was born i lost approx 20kgs. The water retention i had was unbelivable, very painful too. With this pregnancy im at 37 weeks and i have been (roughly) following a gestational diabetes diet. No, i dont have GD but i know its a very healthy diet to follow. Eating only good carbs, very small amounts. Meals every 4 hours and snacks in between. This time around i have only put on 11kgs so far. I have been swimming and walking for the past 3 months as well. I have had many health issues with my first pregnancy but i survived, and my boy wasnt obese or anything.. Just eat healthy, if you crave things have a bite and savor it instead of eating the whole thing :) Theres a very good guide on baby2see website under pregnancy weight gain and it also explains BMI and how thats related to how much weight you "might" put on. Everyone and every pregnancy is different... http://www.baby2see.com/pregnancy_weight_calculator.html Hope ghis helps, good luck! :)

Ladies, Anyone had a VBAC before? or planning to? I had a c-section 4 years ago and my repeat is scheduled June 6th. I wanna try and go for a natural this time but the OB refused! Ranmooda, Im tossing up between NB and repeat C.. My son is only 16 mnths old and im due 10th June. My OB Dr.Jozsa is very keen for me to try and all im reading and hearing is conflicting info... Some say go for it some say dont even think about it... Let me know if you wanna chat more :)

That is very interesting Meagle.. Now im even more curious as to what increases the risk of rapture? Back in the day (20 odd years ago) my mother was told not to fall pregnant for another 4 years.. I understand in time thanks to science knowledge changes/improves w research and resources, but if the major factors are not time between pregnancies and size of the baby then whatelse could it be?.. I think i will take it appointment at a time and decide as i get closer.. Also, very nice to know DrJozsa's predictions were very close Shella, thanks for sharing! :)
