Order it from the US. Much cheaper on their website than in the stores here. For some strange reason they never inform anyone of their sales. Even on their Facebook page they do not even mention it when there is a sale currently going on. What about the shipping though? What is the best way to do this? I'm want to bring a piece of furniture that they don't stock here. Would love to know how to do it!

Wow! 18dhs for 6 eggs!! Worth it though. Like most things, if you buy from responsibly farmed small producers then it's going to cost a lot more than mass produced with little thought to animal welfare or sustainability. I'd much rather go without eggs than buy cheap mass produced ones. Exactly. It's only the price of a coffee which you wouldn't think twice about.

That's a really good price. I was quoted aed1000 each set of drawers. I've never seen anywhere where you could get a whole new suite for anywhere near 2400!

Most large supermarkets sell them in the freezer department. I've never seen them in any supermarket, only spring roll wrappers. Which CF is doing the ducks?

Greenheart organics - http://www.greenheartuae.com/ Ripe also do this but personally I don't find the quality the same and i find you have to really ask questions to find out where the produce is from; it appears that more and more is imported - one of the reason i use Greenheart is that i want local produce... although the fruit they sell is imported via the green league. Agreed. Elena at Greenheart is a true greeny. I am loving my deliveries from them.

I buy local organic ones from Greenheart organics. So do I. Happy healthy hens. I don't eat eggs but my children say they are great. [url=http://www.greenheartuae.com/?page_id=145'>Here[/url'> is some info on them. on a side; they are tiny eggs - but that's the eggs that are produced by local chickens ;) Same. They are tiny but perfect for lunch boxes. Not good for baking though in which case I buy the French ones.

Dr.Joseph Bilik children's medical centre al wasl. What you are looking for, this doctor specialises in it. My son had an inguinal hernia repaired by him and he was brilliant. It was done at Medcare near Safa park. http://www.tcmcdubai.com/pediatric-subspecialties/pediatric-surgery/ The surgeons we saw from the gulf region get some good reports but they recommended a complicated circumcision for my son whihch we almost went though with but Dr. Jozef said wasn't necessary.

Thanks ladies this is really useful. We're looking at a new kitchen and being recommended to go for induction. I can't imagine cooking on it and not seeing the flame as a guide and also cooking by wok. I love the look of it of course but I'm really nervous about getting it, spending all that money and wishing I'd gone for gas. I've read so much on forums for and against. One minute I'm adamant I want gas the next induction! On another note, did you find that your electric bill went up much because I believe they use a lot of power and gas is so cheap here. We are also looking at Miele mum2girls.

Like Seraphina said its in the 'flavour' sachet. Boil up a chicken carcass and use that. Freeze it. Or poach a bit of chicken with sliced ginger and spring onion and use the liquid. Throw some ordinary dried noodles in, seasoning and some veg, besnsprouts and mange-tout and shred the chicken on top. Bit of coriander and chilli.

Sorry for your loss Rhubarb. My gut instinct on reading this was absolutely yes! Of course it's subjective but I would say it's a more convenient location, near the beach, the shops, lots more restaurants/coffee shops etc. and has a feel of being in the thick of it all. If the money isn't an issue then it doesn't matter. Could you keep looking for something nicer maybe a bit smaller? The villas do tend to be older generally with older finishes but they can also have a lot more character and you can put your own stamp on it. I have a feeling that your gut instinct is telling you to go also but you're apprehensive about taking the plunge. Best of luck with your decision.

I went for a job there and she offered me aed95 an hour which is what I was getting 15 years ago. This was higher than normal she said because of my experience. They work you really hard with lessons plans to be typed for every lesson and other admin work. The minimum I expect to be paid is aed150 an hour and places like UOWD and the British Council were paying that. In my opinion it's an underpaid job with the institutions making a lot of money Same experience as you Bird with Eton, and I have the degrees and the experience. An institute even offered me AED 60 an hour -- if you can believe it. A cleaner (I know the company gets that money but still) is paid AED 35 an hour!!! Who do they get for that kind of money, and what do they know about teaching? You have to be really desperate to accept that kind of a job!! I know Loukoum. It's an insult. I do enjoy it but I can do a job where I don't have to travel, think or prepare anything for not much less. Where's the incentive. Hairdressers work for themselves and get about 300 a cut in less than an hour!

Judging by your typing, I'd say your English is excellent! I can't remember what it's called, but there is a group who meet and do a sort of language exchange. So basically you speak to native speakers to improve your skills. Which might be more beneficial to you than a formal class. This is a good idea. It's quite difficult to teach conversation one on one unless you have specific questions. If you were in a small group then you can role play with topics and it's more fun.

Yes Jason removes the kitchen, does everything you request, painting, retailing etc And gives advice. Then Ikea comes in and does their but followed then by JAson doing the bench tops, splash backs etc. Forgot to say if you would like to see a picture of our kitchen pls give your email address and I will gladly send. edited by Genkigirl on 31/08/2013 Hi Genkigirl, would you mind sending me a pic also? Could you tell me where you got your appliances and which ones and the cost? I'll post my email address once I hear from you. Are you saying that another company has to remove the kitchen? Thanks a lot.

CELTA was formerly TEFLA and is run by Cambridge. Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults. It's an intense course and I loved it. It is the best one to have and internationally recognised. After that Trinity which I thought was the one offered by Eton? My friend did it there and also works there. I have CELTA and a lot of experience. I went for a job there and she offered me aed95 an hour which is what I was getting 15 years ago. This was higher than normal she said because of my experience. They work you really hard with lessons plans to be typed for every lesson and other admin work. The benefit is they run courses during the day and English teaching work is often in the evenings plus it's a good way to gain teaching experience if you are newly qualified as you don't mind taking a lesser salary. The minimum I expect to be paid is aed150 an hour and places like UOWD and the British Council were paying that. In my opinion it's an underpaid job with the institutions making a lot of money with bums on seats.

Con-men look for women in a vulnerable position emotionally. Then they will try and isolate you from your friends and family so that you never get a reality check. And then make you totally emotionally dependent on them and make everything as warped in your mind as possible!! Especially though, I think they will do their best to make you feel that you are very special to them, you are everything to them, etc. For me, the truth was there all along but I was so isolated and so desperately wanted the lies to be true I took excuses time and time again. The big flag with my guy was that I never went to his house or met any of his friends. For a year he came up with the most creative excuses and delivered these lies with such sincerity you wouldn't believe I never gave him money, he stole it from my house and made out it was someone else. He then managed to twist things around so that I didn't go to the police. I never suspected him because until that point he'd paid for everything, expensive dinners and hotels, etc. This guy took my money to extend the life of his lies. As for cheating, I personally believe 50%+ of Dubai husbands cheat on their wives, because it's so easy to do here. All it takes is a private phone and a work computer or a trip to a nightclub It's easy to cheat anywhere in the world. The three things you list are not unique to Dubai. I'd love to know how you get to this sweeping generalisation. It's just as easy for women. In my opinion it's not something most people do.

I enjoyed mac'n'cheese occasionally as a kid, and sometimes as an adult ha ha, but I've never had it out of a box. One of the first things I learned to make was a bechamel sauce -- with cheese -- which I'd toss through cooked macaroni and then bake for the final product. The grated cheese sprinkled and golden on top was the best bit. I know people don't have a lot of time on their hands, but this dish is so so easy. Why don't people make it from scratch? Like :-)

I drink a couple of cups of tea a day, and have tried drinking a coffee to ease migraine, but it doesn't seem to make a difference... What about caffeine (tea and coffee) - should it be given up by migraine sufferers? It is known to increase pressure in the eye. I read that coffee can actually help rather than hinder migraines because of the caffeine. When I feel one coming on now I have a coffee and often it nips it in the bud which is great! I don't think there is a clear cut one cure for all. Some of the triggers are the same though like cigarette smoke, loud music, neon lights etc.

Good response Scribs. My daughter was dry during the day from age 2 but was 7 before she was dry at night. She was quick to do everything else but is such a deep sleeper. My son has just turned 10 and not completely dry at night. He is also a deep sleeper and bed wetting can be genetic apparently. Must have been their dad! He's been out of pull ups for two weeks now and has only been wet three times which is really good for him. There were times when he was wet every night so we had to put him back into pull ups as his bed needed washing every day! Like Scribs says he is never punished. He does strip his bed to help but it's not a punishment. I understand people saying they need to come out of pull ups to learn which is true but to a point. Children don't continue or choose to be wet on purpose. No one wants to be dry more than them so they can have sleepovers etc. and not be embarrassed. Useful link http://children.webmd.com/features/bedwetting-causes http://www.handsonscotland.co.uk/topics/toileting/wets_bed.html

Solpadeine for migraines-only thing that works for me. More independent shops. M and S food department for picnics and lazy days. Had their strawberry champagne cream this year which we would never get here of course. Decadent. Really nice toppings for cakes like Nigella uses.

Thanks ladies. This is all new to me so appreciate the advice. I called the number and she said that it wasn't her dog and that they are 'pet importers' and the dog came from eastern Europe. That was the end of that. Occasionally families advertise unwanted puppies. So the thing to do is go to K9 friends?

I've sat on my hands all day but can't stop myself now.........I can understand why people share their worries on here, it is after all an anonymous forum with the advantage of a lot of differing inputs, but I have to say this to anyone who posts in response................please post what you would actually DO in the situation, rather than what you would LIKE to do. The two are very very different, and please remember you may be dealing with people in a vulnerable state. The hardline " take no prisoners" attitude in some responses, on this and on other similar threads. could prove very dangerous, please remember it is just a forum topic to you, for the OPs it is their LIFE. Quite agree LT, but don't you find it a little unusual that quite so many of such similar type threads keep appearing? Of course with the guaranteed results in responses. Why does no one ever post the simple answer to all these posts? Sit down and talk with your husband about your feelings? All of these issues are communication issues yet no one points out the obvious *communicate*! Why on earth are such posts put on a public forum, how devastated would a partner be if they knew? Let alone the ideas that are being put through heads. Just because the odd poster has experienced a vaguely similar scenario does not mean that every thread posted that may be comes into that range has the same result. This is the best and only good advice you have been given. Communication is the key. Good luck.

I believe they do have the cabinets to fit in the standard size build-in ovens. I've had mine for nearly 2 years now and am positively surprised with the quality.
