Depends on the circumstances. Sometimes clemency is shown to a widow for example.

Has anyone installed a kitchen here. Had a brief look at Ikea but their tops seem to be either laminate or wood and I like a heatproof surface to put pots down. Thanks.

Brilliant. Love him. A real tonic. There was only one bit I'd heard before about people with and without kids and I watch him a lot. Great seats in the balcony. Parked across the road, few minutes walk. Great venue. Easy to get in and out. Seen the first guy before and most of his routine but still enjoyed it. As MM said it's so contradictory here, he's not allowed to drink on stage but the doors open at 5 and the audience can be and some were wrecked. It's encouraged purely to make money and it's so wrong.

@ bird....any suggestions for the protein shakes? since dairy increases body fat...what can we use /mix so as to make the protein shakes at home instead of store bought ones? Hi jay, Almond milk is good. 500ml almond milk 1 banana A few Brazil nuts 2tbsp bio yoghurt 2tsp spirulina 1tsp raw cocoa powder You can add a tsp of wheatgrass but it does overpower the flavour. I prefer to take it as a separate shot. Good for pre and post workout. 3/4 cup almond milk 1/2 tsp vanilla 1-2 tbsp cocoa powder 1-3 banana Ice cubes Almond milk 250ml Blueberries handful Vanilla 2tbsp bio yoghurt Ice You need to blend all these recipes.

Sounds like your diet is good. Definitely good to up your lean protein and masses of veg/salad. Personally I don't like processed protein shakes, I would rather go the natural route. You can make your own and add spirulina powder which is full of protein. When you do have carbs avoid white ones. Go for complex, brown rice etc. sweet potato etc. Exercise wise I would try body pump or some weight bearing exercise at least twice a week. Strength training is going to build up your muscle and make you stronger and leaner and will help you with your cardio. Rpm is great interval training. As someone else already said interval training is the way to go to improve your fitness. Pilates is brilliant for your core. 38 is no age!

I would recommend watching a documentary, if you haven't already, Hungry For Change. I grew up in the generation that sprinkled sugar on cereals and ate cereals such as Sugar Puffs, had sugar in tea, drank fizzy pop, ribena, vimto, ate sweets etc. I have the fillings to show for it. I also ate good meals. People were ignorant then. Sugar is in so many processed foods and has no benefit to anyone's diet. If processed foods didn't exist the supermarkets would be at least half the size.

It doesn't matter what any of us think or how wrong you say it is. It is what it is and there's nothing you can do about it. It's not bad news for everyone. A lot of people got stung buying property last time round because the rents were so high. We are still in negative equity so prices can keep going up for us! Surely putting rents up to ridiculous levels - 20-30% increase pa - again will cause another bust which will still leave you in negative equity. Won't it be better to stabilise the market, make rents affordable to renters but also cover the landlords outgoings (with a profit as well) be better all round? I don't really think about it as it's all out of my control. Gone through enough stress and what ifs in the past. All I focus on is my house price going up which it is doing and hope we can remortgage and reduce our ridiculous crippling payments which are still way more than anyone I know pays in rent.

Ripe shop off Al Manara have the wheatgrass. I heard the organic supermarket has spirulina. You are in for a treat. I've added them to smoothies thinking you wouldn't taste it. Now I prefer to just take a shot followed by a swig of something nice like orange juice!

Either porridge with honey or chocolate sauce, or cheerios with milk (has to be Nestle), or cornflakes with milk (has to be Kellogg's). Always, 1/2 banana and a Yakult. Plus big glass of Ribena. She used to have porridge most days :) , but now she mostly eats cheerios :( . thats alot of sugar I thought that's fairly standard. The Ribena is quite weak, she won't drink plain water. It is all sugar but far be it for me to comment.....as for the Ribena well she will drink plain water if that was all she got, just saying, as that is one thing I hate, all juice or cordials. PPM-I share your dislike! Sugary watered down rubbish with no nutrition at all. If a child has only the option to drink water they will. People are too soft IMO. Kids only know what you teach them. They are not born with these habits. Yakult is very sweet.

My daughter and I are the only ones who get up early, 6am in our house. We have eggs and pratha, lubia (beans) and pratha, or sometimes porridge. She sometimes also takes a banana or apple to eat on the bus to school as well. Her class stops for breakfast at around 10:30, I think, when she eat fruit, cheese, dried fruit and raw nuts, that she brings from home. Then they later stop for another snack when she has a sandwich and more fruit. She gets home around 2:30 and I usually do too, we eat a proper cooked lunch together then. She is lucky to be able to eat nuts at school. My kids love to eat nuts and I often give them walnuts and almonds as they are so healthy, but their school is a nut free zone (I don't want to get into that one!). Unfortunately, I think most western style schools are nut free due to the increased allergies to them. Luckily our DD is in the Pakistani Islamia school where everything is fine in the lunch box. DD complains her classmates and even some of the teachers want to share her lunches daily!!!!! there is nothing unfornunate about having nut ban in a school. i have actually heard of a child dying from consuming peanut in a school from a teacher. so the awareness about nuts being dangerous is good!!! As a parent with a child suffering from food allergies and a sister who suffers from a severe nut allergy I commend the schools in dubai for raising awareness on the subject. seeing a family member not being able to breath due to an allergic reaction from touching something containing nuts is scary. Children need to be educated that things like this do exist. Yes absolutely necessary. My son loves nuts, peanut butter etc. but it's just a no go area in school. Unless people are affected directly they often don't realise just how serious this is.

I would look into why they are not hungry in the morning and what they've eaten and at what time the night before. You should wake up hungry after all those hours. It is such an important meal. I don't know how they can function without a decent breakfast. If they're hungry then they should be less fussy. I wouldn't give sausages very often as they are processed. I don't know where you can get good quality butcher sausages here but I'd love to know! Birchermuesli is good and it's soft so easy to eat. Oats, natural yoghurt, quality sugar free apple juice and grated apples soaked overnight. Top with berries.

Evening ladies, I was there today at trade centre and got in to see rehearsal, honestly save your money. Tiny stage, rubbish seating and the ballet company is average, It's not the Bolshoi or Royal Ballet Co!!! My humble opinion but I do know what I am talking about as ex-dancer. Appreciate your update Mareas - I have been frenzied and on the lookout for two tickets -- not any more after reading your post - Thanks What a shame. I always think it's better to go and find out for yourself. I've also seen the Bolshoi, Royal ballet and Sadler's Wells and couldn't fault this performance. Been to better venues but still thoroughly enjoyed it.

We loved it. Yes the venue wasn't the best and the seats were not super comfortable but once the lights dimmed, I could only see the show which in my view was spectacular! Amazing costumes, dancers, dead silence but for the music - truly breathtaking! We loved it too xmasbaby and agree with your review completely. After reading the negative reviews my expectations were low. I was ready for the worst. However, the orchestra were fantastic and the sound was great. The stage wasn't tiny as I expected. I really couldn't fault it. Only the plebs that ignore the pleas for silence through the performance and think that when the orchestra are playing and the curtain is drawn that it's a queue to start talking?! Ignoramuses. Even they were silenced as the show climaxed.

The idea of me posting this was so I could get two tickets for me and my daughter. Maybe you could start your own thread? That's a bit harsh - it's a public forum.... It's not harsh at all, it's very civil. If someone has the tickets we can't both have them. Good luck Encore although it looks like we'll have to plump for the 9pm show.

Not always. Try sitting near or just behind the wing. The aircraft's centre of gravity is usually just behind the wing, therefore the further front or back you are the potential is for more movement. However, you can get more 'wagging' from side to side at the very back. Flight attendants cannot sit with passengers for takeoff and landing. Maybe on "Pan Am" tv show but not IRL. We need to be in our jumpseat and by our door or position in case of any emergency. However, we can provide reassuring glances and smiles if you are within our sightline :) Do let us know though, I find fearful flyers fit into a few categories. 1. The "not in Control" as someone mentioned, it's not the flying or the height but the lack of control. Knowing that the pilots are very well trained can help. Try to distract yourself with tv or a book. 2. The "fear of heights/turbulence" they have a phobia of something else which is magnified by being on the plane. Finding out the cause of the original phobia and addressing that can often help with the fear of flying. 3. "Claustrophobics" It's not the height or the plae but the feeling shut in. Try sitting just forward of a bulkhead, so that you can see the whole cabin. It helps to be able to see more ahead of you, so it looks bigger. On planes like A380 and 747, upper decks are smaller in width and height so you may find it better on the main deck. (If you have to choose between Economy on B777 and A380, the 380 has 'straighter' fuselage walls on main deck so it seems bigger- there's less curvature so seems more spacious. 4. "I watch too much news". Remember, media often love to play up accidents. E.g "Air France falls out of sky" type headline. It didn't just fall out of the sky, many things went wrong for it to crash. In the industry it's known as "Swiss cheese". For an accident to happen, a chain of events must take place, i.e. the holes in the cheese line up... take away any single event and the accident doesn't happen. Luckily, the safety systems in place catch most of these errors and prevent accidents. As someone mentioned, statistically you are safer on plane than driving down SZR!! The "no air pocket" is what people describe when they don't understand CAT. Think of it more as a 'pot-hole' yes the plane dips but it comes back up again, just like your car when driving over a pot-hole in the road. Some roads are bumpier than others, just as some flights are. Summer Breeze, UPS was very sad but again, a lot of factors all came together at once for that to happen. It would be very rare for the exact same thing to happen again. All of the above :-(

Don't worry but as other ladies said don't use it again. those brands contain msg too. Kallo organic in waitrose is better but you should only use a tiny bit. It is so easy to make your own. Even simmering a carcass just covered with water for 30-40 minutes will give enough flavour for a baby's taste buds. You could put some mashed veg through the rice for more flavour. Babies/kids go through phases and go off things just like adults.

You know what, it often doesn't make a difference of the mother tends to the child or not. People will have this angry looks on their face regardless. As in: How DARE that child cry in MY presence. As they have never been crying babies themselves. My friend was on the metro station with a crying baby who was teething and she was in pain. My friend was crying with her which obviously means both are in distress, but angry looks were shot her way. I am not a mother, and yes, sometimes I wish the crying baby next to me would stop. But then, I don't think anyone can judge the mother whether she tends to them or not. We don't know her or her child. Babies cry, that's the way it is. Completely agree Maroosh. It amazes me that some people look at babies and children this way as if it's new to them. It's all about tolerance and minding your own business. You can't dictate and control what people do. Everyone is different. As for crying babies- when it was my own I hated the unwanted attention but other people's don't bother me in the slightest! I just feel for the mum.

Hi, I am a patient under dr Bini. Couldn't be more impressed with his work. I went to see him as a referral from my gp after all the diagnostics were done. He initially will not give you the warm and fuzzies that your gp might give you but definitely a great surgeon and at the end of the day that's what you need. Go there with your MRI and he will listen to you. So if he does not attend to pateints who walk in without an MRI to hand then he should advise that it is required to bring one when the appointment is being booked otherwise it is a complete waste of time and money and if I may say not quite straightforward. My DS had flown in specially for this appointment so it was not only a waste of that consultation fee but his ticket as well since we could not get to see another speicalist in the available time he had. When I went to see him he referred me for an MRI. He couldn't do anything until he had that. He wasn't the 'warmest' guy but okay. He was quite chatty next time. I heard Sarwat at City is very good but I didn't know then. These things can take weeks to go through the procedures, preapprovals etc. It's taken me 8 weeks to get to my end goal. They have an MRI department at city but I went to the Open MRI on beach road as I'm terribly claustrophobic. The cost is aed1600 if its not covered. At city it's twice that. I would have paid not to go in that tube! You could go in with him and talk to him aswell if he wanted you to(don't know how old he is!).

You sound very level headed. I would have to rip his balls off. I couldn't keep it to myself. Sounds as though you are not so surprised though? You said he has a propensity to lying. I can't understand why anyone would do it, he definitely has issues. He has risked everything, for what. My parents divorced when I was 11. It was awful. At the time I was told that they didn't love each other anymore and my Mum loved someone else. There's not much else they could say really. Obviously as you get older you realise what was going on. I still wish it hadn't happened as it makes everything complicated but that was out of my control. For a child your world as you know it is completely turned upside down. Made me more determined to have a good marriage. You're doing the right thing by not influencing your kids one way or another. They will form their own opinion and it may well change as they get older. As long as they know it has nothing to do with them. Good luck to you.
