Springs area is good for family with kids as their is more space for them to enjoy ...play areas, pools, lake side area for hanging out or cycling... no problem of incessant traffic in the bylanes...which u wudnt enjoy in Marina as it's buzzing these days...

DHTC accupunture sessions for my lower back pain( double slipped disc and degenerative disc disease) and infertility has worked wonders. I was sceptical when I went for my initial consultation but was amazed at the results even after the very first session. 13 yrs of infertility and am pregnant now...so no way I can doubt!

Culturally we don't have a choice or an option... we have to cater to entertaining guests: family or friends. We don't allow them to pay for a thing....and have to buy parting souvenier gifts to top it all too....

U are so lucky she isn't nosy! We are cursed with nosy neighbours on one side and extremely volatile on the other! One neighbour wants to interview my domestic help to get all household details...and the ohter has screaming fits , fights and bouts of domestic abuse....last night nighbours husband had locked her in her bedroom which has common wall with our washroom...she was screaming to be let out for 2 hrs....I cudnt' take it anymore and had to call security to intervene!

I can only thank god for having lovely men around , be it Father, DH or brother... they all are so hands on ...am sure my kid brother got it from my Dad! To find a DH who also falls in same genre' was indeed pure luck and knowing I come from India where men hardly help women at all and if they do they make sure they boast about it always..... Paying bills, cooking in the evenings whilst he is not flying; grocery( which I ABHOR), taking dogs for walk, taking kid for after school activities...DH's only limitation bng flight crew and being out 10 days a month...or else he really makes up.... bless him! and now with pregnancy cravings...poor guys runs around in the middle of the night trying to find the exact flavour of icecream .....

It is just crazy that this idiotic, amateurish movie is being given the weight, attention it is getting. If nobody reacted to this movie it would just be laying in the dust heap of unseen movies. Christianity has been dealing with this for decades. "The Holy Grail" and "Life of Brian" are but a few examples. Both idiotic (but brilliantly so) movies making fun of Christ and the Christian institution. I think any movie made to insult any religion should not be allowed. There is a very thin line between freedom of speech and insult. I would not watch any movie that would insult Christians or Jews or their religion. It doesn't solve any problems and it only hurts others. Completely with you on this...any docufeature or movie which hhurts religious sentiments should be censored....for peace!

Hi all, I am looking for some advice.. my husband and i are relocating to Dubai at the end of October and have recently found out we are expecting our 2nd child. I will be due to have my 20 weeks scan on the 1st November and was wondering how best to go about finding a gynecologist? We are moving from the UK and im not sure how different the process is in Dubai? From the posts that i have read it seems that Dr Britt comes highly recommended, does anyone know if it is easy enough to get an appointment to see her? should i try make contact now to book something for then? Any suggestions or advise would be most welcome. congrats! Do make an early booking by atleast September as most of the Obst/gynacs are really busy here in Dubai.

I had to deal with a male direct reportee with severe body odour issue. I can recollect it was not one of the best conversations I ever had but the guy took it in his stride...which I doubt could be the same with a woman? I told him directly over a cup of coffee, and owned it , saying I have come across days when your body odour has been over whelming. It might be natural odour to you but quite unsettling for me. Upon which he said was allergic to perfumes , so I told him I don't really know how you can improve as it's not my place to provide you solutions but would really appreciate if you could work on your odour. I guess he felt embarrassed and after the weekend I never got bad body odour from him, neither did I pat his back saying wow good job no! We just pretended our conversation never happened...phew! But believe me HR has no role to play in this...nada!

1600AEd is fair depending upon the responsibilities she has. Our help takes care of 3 dogs, 2 special needs whilst am away at work. My 9 yr old also is her rsponsibility while am at work. Along with that she cooks and cleans with Friday off. She has been with us for more than 6 yrs , she started at 1100aed and now earns 2000aed with few OT thrown in wen we have guests or party at home. I always caution my frnds against letting ur maids work part time else where as you are opening up a great risk...besides it being illegal what if things go missing from the otehr household and ur maid is to blame? I wish you luck in finding another maid. Sending her off with tickets etc should be your responsibility too.

Having seen couple of frnds go through horrible relationships in Dubai over last 14yrs.. I can only caution all single girls to be really really choosy and picky. Rely on your gut instincts a lot as women are very sharp. Worst that happened to 2 of my frnds was that they got in to relationship with married men out for some fun! till date they both can't forgive themselves... Dubai is a place where lonely married men have pit stops where they seem to live in a surreal world, leading a double life...luring single girls and dropping statements like" our marriage is on the rocks" , "about to get a divorce soon" and wat not.

Its our 7th year in Springs community and I am happy with the community and all that its got to offer. Am frm Springs 9...it has a pool shared with Springs 8, has a huge lake which is great for strolls. 2 kids playing areas shared with Springs 10 and 8... we are on the desert facing side of Springs drive with lake viewso away from traffic noise of the road that cuts thru the community. Grocery just 5 min drive away, coffee shops, gas stations, take aways, dine ins...there are loads of options as this community has become self sufficient over last 5 yrs. Healthy driving distance from 2 malls.. Mall of Emirates and Ibn Battuta.

Wow wat a lovely break from corporate world! I am in New Dubai, Springs area and nothing in this area that I know of is sort of Doggy day care... I would love to see my pooches have ample space to run off leash and socialise with otehr dogs. They are increasingly becoming unsocial when it comes to other dogs... All the best to you!

Jose Garbe at Manchester Clinic on Beach ROad.. I couldnt recommend her enough. It might be a long wait to the appointment but if you have waited years trust me, you wont be sorry you waited just a little longer. Everyone who i have recommended her to has been very happy with the treatment. Its like she has magical powers!! :) Call for an appt on Three Four Nine Seven Double Zero Eight. If you are in a lot of pain ask for an emergency appointment and they will call you soon as they can. I completely second this recommendation: I cudnt get appointment with Jose as she was busy with kids therapy but she gave me her second best's contact: Louise King... they were god send for me. I have degenerative disc, and suffered from 2 slipped disc episodes last year in April. Went to loads of docs around Dubai : u name it and probably wud have had an appointment with the doc! Finally after suffering for 4 months, got temp relief from accupunture at Dubai Herbal Medical Centre. but had a relapse and got to know about Jose... I still remember when I walked in to Manchester clinic I was ram rod stiff, and had to have help frm my husband to even take the 3 steps to the clinic...after 2 sessions, the stiffness left and after a month of the session I was back to my original active life! I still have few bad days here and there but they give you sets of simple excercise that help ur back become supple...

Dr.Mehdi is a messiah for my 4 legged wonders for over couple of years from Al Barsha...they have never let me down and a recent demise of my pet was handled so very well by the entire team...I can't praise them enough for their support and empathy... Dr.Dieter from Blue Oasis is another such wonder for my GSD mix who had ligament issues and he sorted him out with our surgery...orthodox procedure but worked.

I have been an AGMC customer for over 12 yrs. Having driven 318, 320 and now X3 I can only say its a dream to drive a beemer. over a decade I have never had any mechanical faults ...only electrical fault I had with my 318 was window, whch was rectified with in hours. Since then never ever did I have any issues. Service centre is always busy...getting a good service adviser is bit of a hit or miss but the service done on my cars is always high standard.

Hi I have two gorgeous dogs. One of which is still a puppy with lots of energy. They are very hairy dogs and although i walk them twice a day it is really hot for them. They have started going to daycare recently and absolutely love it. My question is how do you entertain your high energy dogs in the summer? TIA However bizarre it may sound... with my hgh energy pooch we play hide and seek ...and play fetch indoors
