Just last week got the new YSL Saharienne...simply exotic n at the same time fresh!!! Best for dessert climes me thinks...and stays on foreverrrrrrrrrr The lady at the store gave me a spray of this on a tester card. I left it in my cupboard and everytime I open it I get the smell. It was a toss up between this and Belle by YSL, and I took the Belle. Definately going back for the Saharienne. Is this an eau de parfum or eau de toilette? Its an EDT....love the look of the bottle too...

thanks Di... getting up from mat is an issue...and with bad right knee its a thought actually....I was told by my DHTC therapist that yoga is good for on-going rehab...but will ask her about Clinical pilates and if she can recommend someone... Normal pilates and in group is not something I could cope with this level of pain....

Edited to say - Title should read PHONE BANKING - can you tell I was losing the plot... I forgot how useless and time wasting phone banking is in this country. I chose this evening to do phone banking instead of a branch visit, thinking it would save me time tomorrow etc etc. 3 phone calls later, and a wasted hour I am still no further advanced than I was at the beginning. System errors apparently, and I have had THE most ridiculous security questions asked, as I had to reset my phone banking PIN to even begin to ask the question I wanted .... and still I have no new PIN. How the frig do I remember exactly what date I opened my bank account, though approximately seemed to do after I laughed for a few minutes over the phone as my brain doesnt function past 3 years never mind 8. After the 3rd call and holding for 20mins I hung up and decided to waste more of my little time by going to the branch, which by the way is only open after I start work and closes before I finish - great move hache essss beeeee seeee! Im going for a walk otherwise I might eat the contents of my local garage tuck shop! edited by Babylons on 24/08/2011 I can so feelllllll u.....and lately I got to know the phone banking calls are routed all over the world specially India and Egypt....poor guys dont' get to know wat we rant about ....all solutions being go to the nearest branch or the branch where you opened ur account....frikking BUR DUBAI.... nitemare with traffic!!!!!!

Sharing my mothers' process:- Get full cream milk to boil, take it off heat. let is cool down for 5 min and add teaspoons of al rawabi yohurt. For each cup of milk, add one teaspoon of yoghurt. Mix it well, cover it with towel and keep in oven or microwave oven or warm place. In winters I keep it in a cupborad drawer.....over night the curd as we Indians call it...sets.

Agency sponsored maids are brought in at 2500+ AED... then 800AED minimum salary was recommended to me 5 yrs back...now our maid gets 2000AED plus perks...like bonus on our festival days; extras for working late nites wen we have parties etc. She takes care of my LO who is 8 now... and 3 pooches while am away at work...she is happy and keeps my family happy... 2000AED is a small amount to pay for her hard work. I wish I could pay more...but thats how much I can afford right now..who knows in the future ..... fingers and toes crossed.

From the Lancaster Website:This lightly-tinted body gel is without SPF. It provides skin with an instant glow while allowing to develop a deeper tan. Contains hydrators to protect skin from dehydration, dryness and flaking. Use only under low / very low sun intensities. Hydrators protect skin from dehydration, dryness and flaking. Free radical protection with Lancaster's exclusive powerful 100% natural Anti-oxidant Neutralizer complex that “blocks” over 80 % light-induced free radicals responsible for premature ageing. I have been using it for evening sun as it doesn't have SPF... its gooey light brown gel kinda cream. leaves my skin supple even after washing off....

Being an Indian and have been to Sri Lanka too... both are must visits but carefull planning needs to be done, i.e. In India do you want beach vacation or cool climes; in Srilanka you can actually combine beach and mountains together. In Srilanka we booked the trip with an agent so had a car at our disposal, we stayed in Kandy, Nuwaraeliya and then outskirts of Colombo...combination of beach resort and fab cool mountain climes and tea estates of Nuwaraeliya. The resorts in SL are very well equipped for children as my DD wants to go back again. In India.. for trip to the hills ... you have places like.. Kasauni,Dalhousie,Leh...all need prior train or air booking. I take a train trip as it's an adventure of sorts for my kid. Take the palace on wheels from Delhi for trip to the desert state of Rajasthan for a luxurious break with kids. Pit stops take you visiting colourful Rajasthan but its very dry hot weather there...close to Dubai climate sans humidity. Beach holidays... loads of destinations...Pondicherry is a lesser know tourist destination but fabulous, worth googling, and I can share my resort details...http://www.zestbreaks.com/destination/Puducherry/Pages/Puducherry.aspx Loads of suggestions you will get about Goa, Kerala back waters but be wary about the hot climate in India now....

To cure my blackened lawn the gardener has just poured 5 barrow loads of sand on top of it ....just in case there isn't enough underneath it I guess? Any know how that's going to help? just sand wudn't help... manure mixed with soil will help to rejuvenate the dead sand patch if it is that... most of the gardens out here need re-soiling as they loose fertility.

As someone else said on here, it's not necessarily 'what dog?', but what dog is right for you? You can have all these preconceptions in your head at what you're after, yet go and fall in love and connect with an animal that is totally the opposite of what you were after. If you're on face book, tak a look at K9, Friends of Animals, DARC, Dogs and Cats adoption - there are so many organisations with dogs of all different shapes and sizes desperately looking for homes. cudn't agree more... our pooch from K9 is the most well behaved special needs dog I have ever had. Never has had accidents at home, amiable wth all..a little shy in nature but wen I went to the K9 pen...I jst fell in love with his coy nature and his super waggy tail. K9 team puts in lots of efforts in their lot....its worth a peek and appointment for sure....

Really wouldn't advise getting a dog for a child from a rescue organisation or a rehomed dog as you have no idea of the history or how the dog has been trreated and wouldn't want to take the risk with a child. I wudn't agree with this statement as I have 3 rescued dogs.. one from K9 and rest abandoned here and there... all brought in to a household 5 yrs back when my bub was 4 yrs old! They were all fully grown and various breeds like desert dog from K9, GSD Dane cross from the desert; and BElgian cross from a locked villa...all from various traumatic experiences(barring one from K9!!)....they are the best thing that happened to my kid....she respects them and they love her dearly. Having said that I never leave her unmonitored with pets....EVER....such will be the case of a thorough bred too....animals are animals and kids will be kids...so respecting both. Please think about providing a loving home to abandoned pooch.....u will never regret.... Rescue dogs are fine if you have no children / will have no children over but how can anyone take the risk of having a dog that they do not the history of? Am not advocating getting a dog from a pet shop here am talking about a dog from a breader they know, who knows the true history and parentage of that dog for a couple of generations back. There are far too many reports in papers of toddler having half their faces ripped off by the family pooch to take these sorts of risks..... Just my opinion and experience and i appreciate that a lot of rescue dogs can be fine but their is more of a chance (because of their experiences) that they can "turn". It's speculation with out putting in the facts whether all dog aggressions reported are of "rescued dogs"??? Talking abt risk...wat guarantee does one have that a thorough bred pooch will not turn aggressive...love, patience and proper training in to new setting .....can go a long way...I am providing my example and am sure many otehrs would about success stories about abandoned, rescued dogs... if one has the courage to take on a child(which comes with challenges!!) any dog lover would take a rescued dog home in a jiffy :O)
