Unfortunately his phone was not connected to the internet and was switched to the airplane mode as he does not have roaming so this function won't help unless the phone is connected to the internet.

See that is thing i don't know what to do for the best but at the time the landlord was threatening us with his lawyers. Nothing is clear cut is it....

Thanks Sarahlou for your advice. No the landlord does not know that i know there are tenants there and i did visit the rent committee however they said they do not give any legal advice and also the landlord evicted me through email only (although his email does say it was so he could give the property to his daughter). I just didn't want to open a case and go through all the hassle of paperwork and visits to the rent committe to be told there is nothing i can do. However based on your friends experience i need to get down there as soon as i can i think.

I have a question, my landlord evicted me a couple of months ago as he wanted to move his daughter into the property, we gave in and moved out after he threatened us with lawyers (he only gave us 11 months notice via email that he wanted the property back not be notary republic or registered mail). Here we are two months down the line and guess what, he has new tenants in the property. Do you think we have a case if we go to the rent committee? Is it worth all the hassel and do you really get any compensation at the end of it? What would you do?

I am looking for some advice about our situation. Our landlord gave us 11 months notice by email, not notary republic for the reason that he was gifting the house to his daughter. We gave him the benfit of the doubt and moved out although we didn't want to. A few months down the line we have now discovered that the property has been re-let to someone else. Can anyone give me concrete advice as to if i would have a case at the Rent Commitee and what would be the procedure for me?

I took my daughter to Dr Anand Shenoy Dental Clinic on Al Diyafa Street and he was great, very resonably priced too compared to Nicholas & Asp (about a quarter of their price). I also think he has a branch in Motor City too now which would be close by for you.

My daughter did this a couple of years ago, we went to Satwa and bought the material from Deepaks I think and then went to Coventry Tailors and he made the dress from a picture. It was very successful and she was happy with the outcome. I am sure if you search on here you will find the directions to Coventry tailors, as I cannot remember which alley it is down!
