I have no experience with these creams, but my dad's coming into town, from the states, later this month and I can ask my mom to buy a tube and throw it in his suitcase? Let me know! edited by Chi2dxb on 07/01/2013

On the coop note, they now have a customer club, with a few discounts and a small reward. Is that open for everyone? They might be trying to compete with Carrefour.

McDonalds food is grim enough when you eat it in their 'restaurants', but it's practically inedible when delivered. Seriously, this is not something to be getting excited about! I agree that it's not good when it gets delivered. Hubby has been getting KFC delivered to him for the last 15 years when the craving struck and never had it at the restaurant. I, never having food delivered to me in the U.S., could not get myself to even look at the soggy fries and cold chicken when it arrived. I took him to the KFC by our house so he could eat flaming hot, crunchy chicken, the way you're supposed to, and he was in love with it! Needless to say, he's never home ordered fast food after that! edited by Chi2dxb on 06/01/2013

I use Almarai unsalted for breakfast and baking purposes. For cooking, I use Canola oil and EVOO for dressings and such.

Am I the only one who has never eaten a McD? When I have the choice of no food all day or junk I choose hunger. I haven't had it in about 18 years. We stopped it as a family July, although it was only a happy meal every coupe of months. January 16, we will be fast food and processed meats free family for 6 months! Yeayyyyy :) That's awesome! I am not a big fast food eater, but it's hard when you want to get a "quick fries" for the screaming baby who's hungry! lol

We also do our bulk, meat shopping once a month from union and then weekly (milk, juice, fruits) from either Carrefour or Spinneys. With one it was easy to just put his car seat in the top, seat part of the cart. When he started sitting up, I would take him out of his car seat and plop him in the seat of the cart. Even if I just had the car seat clicked on the stroller, I have enough space in the bottom basket for A LOT! Now with two, I take the baby in the Bjorn and the older one sits in the cart. Or if the hubby is with me and don't feel like carrying baby in the Bjorn, we'll take two carts, one for each of them.

Irooni I am about to order via the National, but only because of the price not bothered about the paper. If you decide to sell for 300 I will take it, but let me know asap as need it for next week when folks arrive. If youd rather not have the paper, would you be able to write another address for it to be delivered to? We've been doing quite a few crafts with the LO and could use it

I'm in silicon oasis and we also go to nad al Sheba. According to their system, it says umm suquim but I called nad al sheba and told them that this is closer so they asked me to bring my lease agreement for verification. there was some code on there that they looked at and said ok. Very nice ladies working there, btw. edited by Chi2dxb on 02/01/2013

Yeah, you def can't see everything, I hated not being there cuz there's a whole show that goes on at the bottom which is all part of the experience.but there's no way I could have gone early enough to be there nor do I want to get stuck afterwards. This time, I'll be able to turn up the volume so I can hear the music and the fireworks! Haha

Last year we pulled over on al khail road on our way home but the burj Khalifa ones aren't that easily viewable unless you can see the whole building. The burj al Arab ones may be easier to see from a distance.

I used to put my son on his tummy and if he had to burp while sleeping, he would burp and go back to sleep. but with her, even if she's on her stomach and has to burp she keeps crying, i have to hold her straight up and that's the only way that's comfortable for her. i've even fallen asleep a few times holding her up but i don't want to risk anything having her slip down or something. i do think it's reflux as well because she cries only when she has to burp. or maybe she has to burp so much because she's crying? i've only been nursing her, i haven't tried formula. i haven't heard of infacol, will get some of that too. lol, i usually hate giving the LOs medicines, but i'm desperate now. I remember it got better when my son started sitting up around 5-6 months, but I can't even get thru the night without a headache/being dizzy, I can't even think about getting thru the next 4 months! ah the "joys" of motherhood! edited by Chi2dxb on 30/12/2012

My cousins went this week and (although, they're from Chicago, so right now this is spring weather for them), they each wore jeans, sneakers, a long sleeve t, and a hoodie and they said that was enough.

From airport road, go on emirates towards Abu Dhabi. After the exit for 44, there will be a Manama exit towards ras al khor. Take that and then when you reach the del monte factory, turn right and its across the parking lot of the union coop. I can see it on google maps and if you go to th union cooperative society website, look up the al aweer location and that's where the market is.

You ar right to be annoyed! How frustrating. I would have your hubby talk to her and get her to leave either nicely or threatening to tell their dad about her antics. If they're as strict as you say, that should do the trick! She's not only irresponsible and a rude guest, but she is also potentially dangerous. That's something you don't need on your plate right now.

I've seen it in the baby shops here, nt sure of the price tho. You'll also have to have to check the voltage of the one in the US to see if it'll run on 220v otherwise you'll need to buy a converter from here.

I'll go to satwa first since its closer and ill have two LO's with me an see how it goes! What are the places to go to at naif? naif has a main souk with good fabric shops along the outsides. if you can head towards the naif police station and park up, it's within easy walking distance and anyone can direct you. Is that where there is an Indoor mall with a garage with all the abaya shops across the street?

Dr. Beckmanns also has a "color run remover", found in most grocery stres in the laundry aisle.
