Destination maternity in Mirdif City Center will definitely have nursing tops and nursing bras. You can also find them at the large department stores, Debenhams and Marks and Spencer.

I didnt see the earlier thread but I completely agree. I would have offered my mom taking it back but taking gadgets from someone you don't really know on a plane isn't the ideal situation to put myself in, let alone her, especially since she's traveling by herself.

Where on umm suqeim? On the moe side or the other side of sh. Zayed? I think the party supply store is in Barsha so if they're on the moe side that would work. Any idea how much they cost or what the norm price should be if they were to go from moe to zabeel park?

My mom is in town and heading back probably on Xmas day. Her first stop will be in DC where she could mail it from. If the shipment box doesn't work out, let me know, although that might be the safest option. P.s.- Enjoy the u.s., I'm so jealous of those that have moved back, or are in the process!

From 66, take the 2nd Zabeel park (route 73) exit towards the Trade Center. Once you get to the Trade Center roundabout, go on Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed street (if you get to 2nd December street, you've missed it. It's just before that one) and you'll see entrances for the park on your right hand side. From Sheikh Zayed Road, go North towards Sharjah, and again you'll hit the trade center roundabout, from there, it's the same as above. <em>edited by Chi2dxb on 08/12/2012</em>

I recently used the kiddie kutz in arabian center fun citi for my 15 month's first official haircut. I wasn't fond of any of their "looks" and I told them to not change the way his hair is now, just to trim it and he knew exactly what he was doing and did a great job

If you can't go around town getting the paperwork done, you can contact baby steps Dubai and they can take care of everything for you, for a fee of course. I've used them successfully a couple of times.

I am a strong advocate for the boppy! You can find it at destination maternity in MCC but if you can amazon it, it'll be much cheaper. I also have the breast friend pillow but its not as sturdy as the boppy and I used it between my knees during pregnancy and for back support after/while nursing in bed. I also use the boppy as a short term support after feeding to keep the baby elevated a bit when I don't have the car seat around.

I've had both my deliveries at city and it has always been a great experience. Plan as if you're staying at a hotel. A few days worth of clothes for you and baby, baby blankets, your toiletries, phone charger, nursing cover and pillow if you are using either. Even if you're not going to nurse, the boppy pillow comes in very handy for sitting on especially for the car ride home. They provide little tubes of shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothbrush, towels, pads/underwear/liners, slippers, diapers, baby wipes. There's no wifi and you will get bored without Internet for 2 days lol so see if you can get a data plan for a month or pay as you go. Let me know if you have any more q's about city!

You can easily make your own, or get them made, with the Xmas designed napkins from crate and barrel (or anywhere), they are extremely sturdy and easily washable. Here's a no-sew version but if you google "pillow cover from napkin" you'll find a ton of tutorials from bloggers. http://www.centsationalgirl.com/2011/03/no-sew-cloth-napkin-pillow-covers/ <em>edited by Chi2dxb on 27/11/2012</em>

Probably food quality, although I am sure I have seen them deliver to students where I work in silicon oasis. Where do you work and where do they order from? A curious (or hungry) DSO'er would like to know!

http://www.mypartycentre.com/store_locator.php You'll definitely find what you're looking for and probably more at this party shop. Once you get to the gate, you have to honk if it doesn't open right away. <em>edited by Chi2dxb on 27/11/2012</em>

do you mean shredded? that's the most common type that's used for pizza topping. mozzarella, cheddar otherwise, there's string cheese, which i'm sure would be a hassle to put on pizza? <em>edited by Chi2dxb on 27/11/2012</em>

I have the fisher price space saver high chair since we have a dining table with 6 chairs and didn't want a bulky chair taking up space. My son has been in it since he was 5 months, now 15, and its perfect. Its easy to clean, wash, and comfortable. haven't seen it here though, I brought it with me when i came back from the states after he was born but you can find it on amazon

I used it on and off after 6 months, but started using it more when I became pregnant so I wouldn't have to bend. I also used a changing pad on the bathroom counter cuz I have the space and have a little diaper station set up there for after baths, etc

Have you looked into the Honda Odyssey? I've personally experienced how family friendly that car is, even at full capacity...with 5 kids and 3 adults, there was still space all over! Sliding doors, awesome AC and safe!

If you make it to MCC, it's in that aisle with the pastas or sauces. There's a corner of that aisle towards the middle of the store that has all the soy sauces and glass jarred Japanese/Chinese ingredients. <em>edited by Chi2dxb on 20/11/2012</em>

because of the amazing women on here, i've helped quite a few people with things they were looking for that they couldn't afford! i've used take my junk quite a few times, they are always courteous and on time. i feel comfortable using them because i know that they can reach out and help out more people than i can. i've also used those donation boxes that i randomly see around town a few times, i don't know where those things go tho. Plum2,do you still have the changing table? Know of a couple in need... <em>edited by Chi2dxb on 14/11/2012</em>

If you look at the forms, it asks you to fill out all the dates you were in/out of the country. It's a long process if you come from an airline family like me where we would take short vacations multiple times a year. I had to pull out my old passports for the exact dates.
