Hi Gals, here's my unsolicited diet recommendation for when lowering cholesterol... eat a bowl of oats every morning. My office mate lowered it drastically by doing this and also beat diabetes 2 along with lowering carbs and inc exercise. Also since oats have iron, its good to have with vitamin C (which enable your body to absorb non-meat based iron, unlike caffeine which inhibits the absorption) like strawberries, oranges, kiwis.... that way u don't load up on honey or empty sugar calories to give boring oats a sweetened taste. I also have it with cereal I like too - again to change it up as plain oats can be quite bland and boring on a daily basis... Plus its really great to keep your stomach regular and unconstipated. Another major recommendation is have lots of garlic and cucumbers (both known to lower cholesterol) - this is based on the fact that I know someone who used to eat constant fast food and greasy food, but always ate a lot of garlic and cucumbers and his cholesterol was fine.... Finally one final fun food to have is dark chocolate - it increases the good cholesterol but beware its higher in caffeine than milk chocolate and madly addictive :) Hope this helps.

I would recommend reading or watching Ceasar Milan (dog whisperer). When he covers aggressive animals, he normally swiftly corrects or disorients the dog just as he's about to snap - by disorient I mean he'll throw the dog off its attention to whatever it about to do by getting an unexpected collar jerk or sneaky push (not hard of course) that throws his / her back paw off-balance. There's are subtle signs - i.e. tail underneath, ears perking up, different stance....With my dogs I can often catch them right about to for instance misbehave... such as barking or about to chase a cat.... Another good tip from Ceasar - is to walk the dog a lot - it will help training etc... and reinforce that you are the alpha male / female...Finally its most important to be clear, consistent and immediate in reacting to things... whether its good or bad behavior. If a bad act goes unmentioned, the dog will not know its previous actions were wrong. They may in their mind feel they are either defending themselves or you. I yell (never hit) my dogs even in front of others... that way rather than apologizing to others (which of course feels natural), I first correct the dog if its actions were wrong. Also I stick to the same body language, stern tone and words - so its extra clear, i.e. "so bad", "so bad"... It also important to keep eye - to eye contact on them and let them learn to look away - a sign of submission to the correction. Basically its important that a dog's memory of doing a bad act is associated with your disappointment. But just as its important to be strict dogs also need to be assured and rewarded when good. We still clap and say "good girl" in high pitch voice when our dogs poop outside on the grass. Don't thing of the snapping as your fault to be embarrassed about - but you're in an empowering position to correct this behavior. Anyway - hope this is helpful and you find a happy solution for all.

Thanks - great find - a nursery with a dubai site - hence the health and safety section on the website! I'll check them out.

Pearls of wisdom! Thanks Thats a great tip and I'm glad you found such a supportive nanny! Definitely encouraging too! That's true about the driving too - I mostly just cab it when I go downtown since it pure insanity - now I have to fear for the baby's life too. LADIES - Any grandma nannies or late 30-40 yr old nanny (with kids) recommendations would be great.

I live & work by Khalifa A, but my husband works by corniche, so we can still (I believe) manage a downtown nursery, if they are better.
