I personally have not found myself in that situation, but two close friends of mine have and in one case they did stay with their partner and managed to move on eventually, she would say it took her 5 years before she could really let go of what happened. In the other case, it was my friends wife who had an affair, they split up but got back together after about 1 year and have since had a child and are very happy. I would imagine, if it is a once off and the offending partner is truly remorseful and does everything they can to gain back the trust, loyalty and love of their partner, it may be possible to move past it eventually. I really thank you for this - its helped do you know if they had counseling ? ive been looking at Life works but because he denies an affair I don't know how we would start x I am truly sorry for you and hope it works out for you as you want it to.

Do you believe him?s Some bits yes I do as its the sort of thing he would do Ie she asked to borrow money but having her at the house no but he was so drunk when I got there could barely stand up... this woman is muslim and was drunk too ;-(

Thank you ladies - its taken me nearly 3 months to put this on here and I still feel so upset and cry as I type this. Its a hard story to believe but I don't think it was an affair - I have checked all emails phone records etc and nothing comes to light ;-( x

The Golf Club at the Ranches arranges small wedding receptions and they have a couple of different locations depending on number of people and budget. Or you could check some restaurants to see if they have a private dining room that is big enough? Thanks Yorky really appreciate this ... didn't think about the ranches ;-)

Just came back from Desert Islands Resort & Spa by Anantara on Sir Bani Yas Island and absolutely loved it there. We stayed at one bedroom pool villa with private small paddling pool, but 2 bedroom villas have a bigger pool. If you want own pool but without walls, then Anantara Al Sahel or Anantara Al Yamm, on same Sir Bani Yas Island. They are cluster of 1 and 2 bedroom villas, most of them with their pools. Another suggestion is Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort by Anantara in Liwa Desert. They too have villas with pools and if you are after something more exclusive, then Royal Pavilion Villas (part of Qasr Al Sarab) is the way to go. For 6,000 a night, you get your villa with pool and private butler and other perks. we stayed here too - very expensive but worth it for a one off treat we also stayed in one bed villa but thanks for sharing about the 2 bed didn't know that ;-)
