I went last weekend it was very busy - I did manage to find a good parking spot fairly close to Gate 4, it really depends on when you arrive I prefer to arrive a little later but sometimes all the really good stuff has already been sold - I still enjoy brousing and seem to always find a good bargain :)

I guess your feelings are pretty normal for a newlywed but trust is the most important part of a marriage - I am football mad, last year my DH got me two tickets to watch the World Cup in SA (one game was Barcelona it was a dream come true for me). I travelled on my own, went to 2 fantastic games & enjoyed every minute of having 'me' time - but then we've been together for 21yrs & are totally honest & trusting :)

agree Manufan (looking forward to the start of the season:)) & Wuffles but 'special' needs is thought more PC than disabled these days - I personally tell anyone who asks that my DD has learning difficulties, it certainly is harder to explain to people when the child looks perfectly normal but has emotional, behaviour, social & mental abilities of someone a lot younger. Off in search of Jodi Picoults book today

Oh Wuffles it's true these children are really special in their own ways, often showing great empathy for other like my little one - it's hard tho when they excluded by their peers without really knowing the reasons why. Mine has discovered playing with children half her age means they don't pick up on her problems and she feels comfortable - I don't know what will happen in the next 10, 20, 30 years - hopefully society will become more & more accepting ...

my symptoms started almost 4 months ago - started with bloating (lots of gas :( ) off & on diarrhea, no appetite, exhaustion slowly they got worse until I couldn't eat or drink unless I was very close to a loo! Had a lot of tests to try find out what it was everything came up negative until I came across a post regarding H Pylori here in EW - I mentioned it to my doc and it was positive. Aparently 75% of the population has it without showing any symptoms. I was prescribed 2 antibiotics to take together plus another med which I am still taking for at least 6 weeks when I will be tested again. The antibiotics were not fun to take made a really metallic taste in the mouth but now I am amazed at how different I feel - I am actually starting to exercise again & am able to eat without the worry of dashing off halfway through. :)

Yassy I had bad bloating & a dicky tummy for months too ... turns out I had H Pylori (showed up in blood test) I took a course of 2 antibiotics which fingers crossed have cured it (no more bloating etc. etc) & I have so much more energy!! Am now taking Ultimate Flora tabs & drinking pro-biotic youghurts the difference is amazing :)

Many thanks for the post Shaf I really love Jodi Picoult's books, I haven't read this one - will have a look for it. My 1st born has special needs (although to most people it's not very obvious) it was down to a very long labour & bad birth. It certainly is hard work and sometimes very depressing, not to mention extremely embarrassing & even more so very expensive. I know with help this child will lead a fairly normal life but if it had been a generic disability or malformed baby in the womb I know I would have chosen not to have it :(

Frances it's a hard thing to take on board but you must rejoice that you have a wonderful healthy son, whom no doubt loves you dearly, sometimes I forget this and go too hard on my DD ... as DR says there are more options available now than there were say 20yrs ago - the world is changing and although there is still not enough 'help' here people are becoming more aware. My prayers go out to you tonight X

LOL honestly, honesty is the best policy - what goes round comes round, my DD & DH found a wallet at the the Dubai Tennis Champs, it had almost 3,000 quid in it they handed to the police - it was one of the umpires hotels' allowance, he gave us 4 tickets to all the final matches in front row seats :) I've had the experience of working behind tills, it gets so hectic and only takes a second to make an error - bless those who own up

Tanzania has the most wonderful safari lodges & a lot less tourists than Kenya, but the prices are slightly higher. An 8 Day safari is quite long (you don't want to get bored) I would suggest 4-5day safari & then recuperate on the beach - TZ has Zanzibar & the Kenyan beaches are divine - if you like diving, snorkelling or deep sea fishing then Watamu Beach is the best! As for young children, mine grew up in TZ, we were very vigilant about long sleeves/trousers & mosquito repellent! But the long game drives were not fun you're looking at 5-6hrs & with little ones they were bored stiff! Rather wait until they can appreciate the animals they're seeing :)

agree with sniffmonster there are some bargains around, looked at one today opposite Kite Beach 5bed + 2 flats + 3 maids rooms, right on beach 200K only on the market 2 weeks but already gone :( Keep your eyes open & just drive around areas looking for Rental signs (sometimes they are open so you can go inside & look around) best of luck

I installed a fence which actually looked really nice - white powdercoated aluminium, 4ft high, very strong & impossible to climb. Once my LO's were confident swimmers I removed it - what sort of area do you need to fence in? I would be willing to sell :)

Phew managed to chat to neighbour at last, story goes she & DH were out at friends, rang home around 12pm to tell babysitter they would be home @ 2pm - had no idea that sitter invited driver around & was to say the least horrified ... Not her full time maid, but a sitter recommended by maid! Neighbour is going to question maid in the morning - lesson to us all

Sorry didn't mention the LO's or owners out in OP, it was just a quick mail inbetween baths & bed - I just happened to witness the 'incident' wasn't intentionly being nosy - just thought I would ask advise, as I for one would not like my 'helper entertaining' whilst I was out, and if it did, I would appreciate someone telling me - think I will go with DesertRose - what have I got to loose :)

LOL agree nothing wrong with wanting to retain those youthful looks, although I do think too many young gorgeous women are drawn into the 'I must be perfect at any cost' route. I do feel like if you are happy within yourself it is projected to others no matter what age - as for personal growth, wisdom & self worth ... yes I've got some of that but still have a lot more to go. I think genes & where you grow up do have a lot to do with how you age, saying that I am now pedantic about my LO's wearing sunscreen - growing up in the sun does not help. edited by CRx2 on 17/01/2011

Windolene would not do that, ask her again as it sounds like she's sprayed a corrosive liquid on it which has damanged the steel - you could use a steel cleaner, I like Fairy Power Disolve comes in a green spray bottle but only apply to the sponge first then wipe
