Get them shipped through S&S. They seem to have lots of cuts and colours so better not take the chance of getting them made.

I tried Al Katheeri Cargo twice to Indonesia, they quoted the cheapest price, were prompt and professional, and had no minimal weight restraints. They come pick up goods from home. You can ask them for boxes the day before you are planning to ship. They are based in Abu Dhabi but you can give them a call, 026447995.

I suggest you call every nursery that "seems" to fit in your criteria (maybe in terms of curriculum) and ask about price and place availability. Best of luck.

Hi everyone, I have been searching for a nursery for my 13month old twins in Abu Dhabi but I have found them all to be quite expensive....and for two at a time!!! *eyesrolling*. Am beginning to consider not placing them in nurseries but i knw it will really help them.....Question is: Does anyone know of any not-too-xpensive nurseries; or are there any other avenues my twins can learn through?......Tanx in anticipation. There are many not-too-expensive nurseries in AD. It depends what you're looking for.

It sounded (and still sounds) impossible for me to live outside island but now that we are expecting my bother-in-law to move there my DH is so excited about living in a villa close to his brother. The expected move is not before July but i have a few questions. For ppl living in Khalifa A, how did you find the perfect house? can you recommend a good agent or is there a possibility to rent direct from landlord (and obviously save the commission)? on Dubizzle there are loads of houses, and all seem reasonably priced. But are there neighbourhoods better than others? are there any complexes or are villas all individual? Another general question, when to start the serious looking and inquiring? I will post more questions as they come to mind. Thanks in advance. oooh there are loads of people now living in kca. i used to live there before anybody else like 9 years ago when people would not travel off the island without a passport, now they have added lots of schools and infrastructure into kca its pretty crowded, too crowded with people commuting from town to schools there (as they could only get a place at the new campuses). you can use an estate agent or if you want just drive around to see if there are signs, some may be direct from owner, usually the larger compounds, some will have a number but will usually be an agent.... or use dubizzle etc. dont believe everything you see on dubizzle or elswhere, the favourite scam is when you ring up for a certain place, you get the sorry oh its just gone but we have this house for 20k more.... etc etc Thank you busybee2. You are always very helpful. Do you know if some compounds are better than others? can you give some names. Appreciate it.

I posted just to encourage the OP to go to the police station, even though the incidence has passed and the reporting procedure may seem difficult. There is a chance that he might abuse kids. The thought is horrifying. edited by D-J on 24/02/2013

Hi Chickadee2. I have been to Doha a couple of times and loved it. Abu Dhabi however is different. It's more like the side of Doha on the corniche (all the high buildings and roads). There are tons of activities for your kids here. Mine are still small so cant advice you on certain activities. Schools are slightly competitive so you need to contact all before you consider a move. Search EW for schools in AD and you will find lots of information (or google). With the location of school goes the housing. Good Luck. (sorry for the short reply as i am in a hurry :S)

There are actually a lot of medical reasons for losing your memory - and they all aren't as dire as CJD. Something as simple as falling estrogen levels or a thyroid problem can cause brain fog. i had that test done too

Before worrying too much check your vitamin D levels ASAP. What you are saying are symptoms of deficiency and i have seen a doctor for the exact same reason a week ago. Can i know which Dr please? I live in Abu Dhabi unfortunately. But any GP will do. I am sure Dubai ladies can help with suggestions.

I think two is the max. But definitely don't try to hire a maid and a house boy, even if they are cousins, because that won't be allowed lest you compromise your maid's honor. lol, no house boys in my house. Thinking of full-timers only.

she will, eventually, so don't worry too much. My MIL always gave her harsh comments on how lazy i am and how her daughters would start potty training their LOs as young as one year (!), which i thought was silly. It only causes stress to both mum and baby. Both my boys were potty trained at 3 years. No big deal.

I would have followed up with an email straight after the interview emphasising or reinforcing a few key points and then one week later with a phone call if you hadn't heard anything. But then my way might be outdated as it's a while since I worked in HR. i did the email thing the next day but i hate to call. I feel calling is too pushy and can cause embarrassment - IMO.

The interviewer assured he'd come back to me as he gets hold of the HR ppl (for the 2nd interview where we discuss the contract). It was what i thought a very successful interview. Is it time to say hello? it's been two weeks? or shall i just wait more. I know there are lots of ladies who are specialists in this, so please advice. Thank you.

I am planning to switch health insurance. AXA is requesting the copy of the old insurance card with the application for a new insurance. could they check with the old insurance about pre existing conditions or why would they want the old insurance cards????? Your information with the old insurance company is confidential, and unless you sign a paper that declares you are ok with your info to be shared the old company has no right to release such info even if you give the new company a copy. But before doing that, ask AXA directly why they asked for the old insurance. If they dont have a good reason (based on a law or something) you can simply refuse.

Sorry and... How do the moms find Sheikh Zayed Private Academy and Glenelg? :\: surely these are expensive. also sh private schools is predoimantly local, and glenelg is american system i think Unfortunately we do not have a choice in moving to AD so I have to make something work. The schools I mentioned below all had fees below 30 000 aed per year for my son's age group so I would appreciate any feedback on them. For that age and budget i would recommend Giggles. I dont have personal experience but a colleague of mine keeps talking about how they helped her 3 year old (who was not potty trained nor could speak) become an all new child. She says teachers and assistants are very attentive and patient. She highly recommends them.

wait for your hubby to return home (preferably prepare yourself while he is on the way), feed baby and put her to sleep, RUN to shop and return AS FAST AS YOU CAN. Shopping with a baby is far more time consuming than without. You can shop double with half time. Source: Mother of 3.

If you are inside the island go to the parking area beside central post (Madinet Zayed). For 100 you can hire a van with 2 men. I didn't use any but the guy who bought a bed from me once told me about it. However, you should know that those men only carry furniture, if you need someone to dismantle and assemble, you need to hire a carpenter as well.

a)If you did not report him and then read a story in the papers next week about an idiot who killed a family on the road due to dangerous driving, and you recognized the guy as the same one who cut you up, how would you feel? b)If you take him to court, and they deport him and his family, how will you feel? A man with a family should be more responsible. He might get his own family killed one day. edited by D-J on 06/01/2013 That's quite an assumption to make based on the 5 lines of information on a public forum that you know about him. yes exactly. I am assuming based on what i read as everyone else is doing when replying to this or any other posts. You never know the background of ppl but you still give advice or comment based on what you read.

This might sound silly but ensure mobile phones are switched off, wifi is switched off, ditto any electrical gadgets and avoid alarm clocks that plug into the wall . Some people are more affected by this than others. I first connected bad night's sleep with realising I'd left my router switched on. It only ever hapened when router which was right at door of my bedroom was left on. That's scary, but it might be the answer to my prayer. I DO wake up at night and check if the blue light on my samsung is flickering for notification, and if it is, i will check it at the moment. I am crazy.

Phenergan, the Dr prescribed it for me and it worked wonders. Taken 2 hours before bedtime is recommended as it can last 12 hours, it worked for me! Is it bought over-the-counter? is it addictive? i am so desperate for a good night sleep. A friend swore by Atarax but it gave me insomnia.

Ladies, please tell me the name of this area. The buildings on the eastern ring road (extension of salam). They are a group of smiler, blue and orange, medium height buildings with balconies. There is a ministry (or lots of offices) there. Last time i was in the area the parking was on sand. I don't know if i am making sense. Thank you by the One to One hotel? Al Nayhan Thanks Busybee. Well they are not in the same block. I see them when going to Dubai on the right. Do you know which buildings i am referring to? They are not exactly on the main road, a bit inside.

I already posted in Health and Fitness but the traffic is quite slow there and i'd like to do some shopping tomorrow morning! 1st Q. In the cruise phase, i want to follow the 2/7 rhythm, but it says every where P/P days are Mondays and Thursdays. Is this a rule to follow? 2nd Q. Is there liquid egg white in market? i love egg but discovered i cant have over 5 whole eggs in 7 days. If there is, please tell me where you saw/buy it. 3rd Q. What is Shirataki noodles? does it taste good? is it available here? Thank you.
