I'm not Greek but know a few things here and there... It's better to go to the Islands during summer. During summer all of mainland Greece moves to the Islands to work. Plus Athens is not a cheap city of what I remember (I lived in Greece years ago, and a coffee was 5 euro!) I would suggest to go to Crete and stay in Agios Nikolaios. It's a lovely little place. Or stay in Rethymno. Avoid Chersonissos and Malia, they are boozing villages for teenagers and young adults and there tends to be a lot of fighting (I used to work in Chersonissos, it's a mess lol) HTH:) My Sister went to Crete last year and said for a pint of beer it was 8 Euros and a bacardi and coke was 10 Euros! I This would be a quite expensive recommendation! i don't want her to hate me lol

I am starving, have hunger pains, headaches, no strength to get out of bed, but have absolutely no appetite for food. Anyone felt this before? Are you pregnant?? I had this every time I got pregnant.. What I do is drink something really sweet!! Like Mango juice etc.. and boom, when the energy kicks in, so does appetite.. I'm not pregnant - hopefully. Just a hard time. Can't decide to work and grow in my career or become a SAHM with three LOs. Another topic to whine about. Thanks for the suggestion though, have to put something in my stomach.

Thank you for the replies ladies. I looked in Ras Al Khaimah and Al Ain, prices ranged between 1500 for 4 nights to 15000! can't decide if we should pay less for accommodation since we will be out most of the day or should we buy peace of mind and good nights sleep.. edited by D-J on 10/07/2012

I had to reply to this. There is what is called "treatment plan", where the dentist explains everything in steps, including the cost. He/she also gives alternatives and the cost. In the UK the treatment plan and cost estimate should be written and signed by both the dentist and patient. There is nothing called "on spot" implant. They definitely can't say its covered then say its not, and it is not your problem to check if it is covered or not. Insurance paper is sent for approval before the procedure, this is the duty of the practice. If they say its covered then it is. You have every right to refuse payment. This sounds like a scam. Just tell them you want to file a complaint to the DOH and see their reaction.

Sorry for my ignorance, but what does that suppose to mean "Muslims praying at the Paris great Mosque: Many people regularly drink Cola because their religion forbids them from drinking alcohol"?

Hi Jojobaaklini. Searching the net i found many properties or "areas" in Al Reem Island: RAK towers, Shams, Marina Square, Marina Bay. I'm quite confused. Do you have an idea what these are? and which place do you recommend for a family with little children? Thanks.

A few months ago he was assessed - and accepted - in another school. At the assessment, the teacher gave him a marker and asked him to draw on a white board. He drew a perfect oval, looked at the teacher and told her "this egg is for you". She was chuffed, hug him and gave him many kisses. Thank you for your replies ladies, i feel so much better. Maybe they did fail him not the other way around.

buy a 3-G package and Skype from your mobile, or connect to Wi-Fi while at home. Of course the other end has to have Skype on computer or mobile. So basically i didn't give any tips for calling landlines :)

Thank you ladies. I would probably not go back to the same Dr. In the 3-minute consultation the only instructions i was given was "take a pill on the first day of your period". Full stop. I do not know for how long or if the same instructions for birth control applies to me (which i read but don't understand).

I am still shocked. I just read by coincidence that it is not safe for the baby. So my DD is one now, and i am reluctant to wean or wait, but this is my 3rd day on Yasmin and i don't know what to do. I am not taking it for birth control, it's for another problem. I know i should call the Dr, but she is quite difficult (if not impossible) to reach. What to do? :( Urm. change your doctor or get an appointment with your Dr to ease your concerns? Thanks. This will take a few days. Continue pills and stop breastfeeding or stop pills and continue breastfeeding? dilemma.

We have a home near Disney Orlando which we rent out as a holiday home. We were staying there, did some refurbishments, left a flatscreen TV to be mounted on the wall by the management co. A week later had an email from the subcontractors who actually look after the house asking where TV was. It had been nicked... Mgmt co. tried to blame the guests - we were the guests. Had to be an inside job (ie. cleaners). Police involved and huge aggro being other side of the Atlantic. During the saga I sent email to DH saying 'wish I could say 'up yours' to the head of management co (who was an a.hole anyways). Needless to say sent it to mgmt guy direct. He emailed saying "I take this as 30 days notice of cancelling your management contract", despite subcontr realising what I'd done without seeing emails and she knew me, telling him there's no way she would say that to you..... In the long run no bad thing but in the short term an absolute nightmare. Have much better mgmt co. now though so was a good thing despite the aggro. Taught me a lesson in not clicking send too quickly :\: Everything happens for a reason, even if it looks so embarrassing at the moment. However, have you ever sent a text for someone PRETENDING it was sent by mistake? i once sent a msg to a guy pretending it was sent by mistake to him instead of a friend. He got the message. Cheeky but worked well!

Go to bottom of their email and press unsubscribe. Worked for me - I don't even know how they got my details! I did that twice but they still email me. LOL If you use yahoo, block the blasted email address. It'll bounce back to them. Mark them as spam. I go to junk and see the deals when i want to.

I always tip depending on the kind of work (difficulty, how much time spent), ranges from 20 to a 100. Tipping is the norm here. A 50 dirham tip for ac filters sounds reasonable. FMO. Good Luck.

Just get a Nespresso, lol... That's the way to go. Absolutely love ours!! Yesterday, a friend was telling me how she loves her new nespresso (citiz and milk). She bought it for aed 1800, however, i found it for 165 pounds on amazon. I have a friends coming from the UK this weekend, do you think it's worth buying and carrying from the UK? are there any warranty issues i should bear in mind? Check that the voltage is the same, just saying. :) enjoy The one online says "Wattage 1870W". How can i know if it can be used here?

It IS a cultural thing. Before getting married i never removed my shoes at entering my house or others. My husband -and his family- think it is gross not to remove shoes indoors. I struggled at the beginning from cultural differences (especially that i was always in high heels and long pants lol), however, six years after marriage and with LOs at home, i started thinking the same - for hygienic not cultural reasons. I remember ages ago i was visiting a friend and she asked me to remove my shoes, i was offended and refused to do so. Fortunately, she was a close friend and we made a joke out of it. Remembering this, i wouldn't ask first time visitors to remove their shoes... I know my husband will!
