They could obviously affored tickets back to India for the 3 of them????? Why not a bit of insurance? Having said that, 1M AED is disgraceful! It shouldn't cost that much.

There is only one expense in the home country and that's the medical ( Fit for travel) certificate. I brought a Filipino maid here and the agency only charged 3000 AED. I then paid for the ticket which was about 3000. So 10'000 sounds extortionate

Not even seen them in any of the commutes either I've lived in springs ranches and now the villa everything is aimed at the bigger kids... None of the communities I have lived in have even had swings! They just have silly climbing equipment which is really dirty

That is why we were only looking at Tecom C as I understood this was the part that you dont have to have a Free Zone licence? Thanks both Yes, you would need a Freezone Visa to rent an office in a Free Zone. Could you not go and visit some of the buildings along SZR and ask the guard who to contact for office space? These guys know alot more than we think

Hi Helen C Agents are stupid sharks. They have no clue. Just wanted to let you know that if you are looking to set up offices in a Free Zone ( Media City, Tecom, DSO etc), you do not need an agent. The Free zones have a leasing Department. Perhaps you could give Tecom Authority a call directly and ask to speak to the leasing department. They will put you through. HTH

So really, am i the rude one or you?? You accused Desert Rose of agreeing with Slavery and people traffciking. Some things here are wrong but you really think you are going to change them? I would like to see you contact the police to report an Emirati and accuse him of blackmail and human trafficking. I found a maid I liked through the same channel and she was with us for 4 years. Her previous employers kept her in a room with three kids, the father used to make advances at her and she was never paid! Best 2000 Dhs I ever spent to get her out of that family!

You're right, better free speech than no right to speech at all. It always seems ironic though when radical Muslims use the free speech card to promote Sharia where free speech is not allowed Exactly, how do they work that out? I don't know. I guess if they lived in a country like KSA or Yeman, they would probably be turned off sharia and be begging to get back into the UK.

I will send the kids back to Geneva to stay with the grandparents for the whole month of July. They will do lots of activities and have lots of friends to see. I will stay a few days when I go to drop them off and pick them up. Then it's off to the USA for 3 weeks. I HATE the summer here and so do my kids. I really dont think you can do that and I think it is quite risky. Why dont you just give her cash. My helper does the shopping and I give her about 1000AED to do it. She has never needed a credit card.

Hi BNBH no totally not, but thanks for raising it so I can clear it up. I have no business interest in the company. The cost is 40AED per hour, 4 hours minimum (so with 2 maids that's only 2 hours at your house). Wow that's pretty good actually
