LOL reading your kindle in the bath! i also have the leather cover with the built in light - to my dh's delight - he loves making fun of me always looking for the darkest corner in the house just so i can switch on my little light :D

you dont know what you're listening to without a screen. i think i have the same one as kellykivan - it clips to your clothes. great for exercising/running etc.

Finz is great, China court end. I had the best steak there I have ever had in Dubai in five years, better than the 5* hotels. Entertainer has vouchers too if you have it. the best john dory in town!

If children are restrained from the first time they travel in a car it becomes normal. In full agreeance with this! My kids have all been strapped in from day one and now the older two strap in the younger one for me as they know its mandatory and the car will not take off until they are all strapped in! my brother told his kids that the car's ignition is directly linked to the seatbelt clips and unless all of them have been properly secured, the car wont start. years later, as teenagers, his son took him on on that one (obviously having figured it out along the way) but did add that he'll use the same line with his kids one day :D

What about the Jebel Ali Club, deinately not posh but great food! oh no :( we've been so disappointed with jebel ali club lately. it's gone downhill fast and i can honestly not remember the last time we had a good meal there. so disappointing because it used to be one of our favourites.

this is one touchy subject. in this environment i almost expect that mum, if spoken to about this, to explode and tell you to mind your own business (even though she knows you are right). when we see an unrestrained child, i tell my DH to drive up next to them, i wildly tap on my window until the driver / mum / maid (or all of the above) notice/s me and then i theatrically tug on my seatbelt with a big ? on my face ...

We got one from Ace Hardware, it doesn't have screws just pressure cup type things that keep it against the wall once you make it the right size. we have this in all our bathrooms and it works a charm.

i train really hard all the time, so after my d&c my doctor advised me to rest for a month, and then easy-easy does it for another month. she knew i was dying to get into it but i followed her advice. it's better that way. good luck

which villas are you referring to regarding the ghost system etc? we switched off our Y4, R4 and B4 switches and that tripped the entire 2nd floor. we then switched off section 3 and that tripped the entire 1st floor. we're stumped. tia

nothing broken but we werent too impressed with supremeway. they took their time, had a very loooong lunch and at 7pm asked us if we could unpack the last couple of boxes ourselves. our previous move was with e-movers and they were superb. had a long lunch too but were way more efficient and we were unpacked and ready to "live" by 5pm. you live and learn i suppose. good luck with your move!

we dont put our money together and have no pot per se (ex lives and all that) but we do not keep 'evidence' of who's done what, and my money is dh's money and vice versa. we work towards one goal and if he breaks something and i have to end up paying for it, so be it. it's our house, our vase and we want it replaced. i hope you get all this sorted, because it sounds really unnecessary in the bigger scheme of things.
