Like a fresh start kind of thing - cos let's face it, numbers have been flagging a bit of late yet many old-timers seem to still be loyal, judging by the number of references to being banned and previous names etc ... Wouldn't kill them to let them come back - if they step out of line they can easily be put back on the naughty chair !! Might get the place feeling like it used to !! lol edited by Doubting Thomas on 27/03/2014

We're due to move Ranches too..... June .... Worried for my 7yr old... As it does look very quiet there.are plenty of children on ranches... We're moving by gate 1 is that the same as Al Reem? Really need to look at layout of ranches.... Sorry for silly question . Gate 1 will be one of the communities that has more than one entrance - Al Reems 1,2 and 3 only have one so it won't be one of those.. Plenty of kids around, especially in the parks and there is a new skate park just opposite the gate for Al Reem 2 !!

I wish they would take those ten days off the summer holidays instead. In the winter we have at least nice weather to enjoy and for those of us that live in the southern hemisphere its nice to go home and spend time with our families over christmas and new year. If they stop adding public holidays and closing schools for a few drops of rain this issue would never have arisen. They have done - we now go back 31st August instead of 7 th September... a pain for anyone who's already booked flights !!

We've lived here 4 years (the last year in Al Reem 1) and been very happy !! Communal pool with park and tennis court , other smaller play areas dotted around and a nice walk round the lake. Five minute drive to the medical centre and retail centre where there is a supermarket, chemist, book shop, pet shop, music shop, burger king, pizza place, costa, ice cream place, 2 restaurants, coffee shop, bank, beauty salon, optician ... recycyling bins outside, although it gets collected weekly from our villa.. We fell in love with the Ranches on sight - beautifully landscaped and lots of greenery everywhere, houses don;'t feel too cramped like on some other developments and aren't in rows of dozens all looking the same.. Very quiet neighbourhood although plenty of kids play out.. I guess the nearest facilities for baby things would be Motor City 15 minutes away.. We have a gold club that hosts various events but I'm not aware of any baby things ... Every Tuesday there is a coffee morning there for the Ranches ladies - great way to get to meet people. There are numerous facebook groups covering Ranches mums, Ranches Women etc ...Good luck with your move !!

Lola Lopez recently posted on her facebook of the most horrific journey a woman in labour had had to go through to finally get to the right hospital - 9.30 she checked into a medical centre then at 3.30 she had to be moved and was taken to 6 different hospitals before a friend of a friend knew she had to go to Latifa, by which time it was 1.30 in the morning !!

OP, it is true that you will not find the answer to your dilemma on here, but hearing people's personal experiences may help you take a more balanced view of your own. There is a forum you may find interesting called surviving infidelity. http://www.survivinginfidelity.com/ I wish people would stop making the sweeping statements of how "children are resilient" and they're stronger than we think etc ... maybe some are but not all. I speak from the bitter experience of my parents divorcing when I was a child and to be honest, the old cliché of living with one happy parent being preferable to living with 2 unhappy ones is ridiculously simplistic and not always true.

What if I don't like Expedia? Do I necessarily need to buy I phone I don't like. Believe me, this is amazing and you won't believe your eyes. After many phones I lost due to water damage, I m a believer. It's a better phone than Iphones, in my opinion but how are you getting your phones wet ?? In all the years I've had mobiles it's never happened to me... and if you want a waterproof phone best to buy one !!

The problem with so many of the so-called Financial Advisers here in Dubai is that many of them are not qualified or experienced and all they do is refer you to companies who pay them referral fees ... Always make sure you see their qualifications before you trust them with your finances and get GENUINE customer recommendations - I've heard some truly terrifying stories ....

Yes, that is what I meant. I have a guest here at the moment who seems to think that St. Patrick's Day is a big day for British people and wondering [b'>why they did not wear green today.[/b'> So then we got onto the discussion of Northern Ireland and I couldn't answer whether they'd be celebrating it today or not... Take them to Irish Village or McGettigans !! lol

Why do either of you need to do anything ? It's a scam, no money has changed hands, what can the Swede do ? I'd forget it but talk to her about using the internet safely .... I know there's no suitcase but wondered whether to take her to police anyway so they can make a note of this guys details from the messages that have been sent. I think I already know this would be a wasted journey :) I think if everyone took the contents of their spam folders to the police they would be doing nothing else all day !! Honestly, if it was me i'd just ignore it but make sure she understands what could have happened...and to never, ever hand over money or even communicate with such people. ...

With sadness and broken heart I'm forced to look for new loving home for my cat. It is British shorthair, with pedigree, he's neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. He is very well behaved. I will only let him go to loving and caring family. Please write private message to me if you would like to foster him. [email protected] There isn't a private message facility on here... - are you asking for a temporary or permanent new home ?

Heard about it on the news on Monday and felt a bit offended on his behalf that the Done spokesman was talking as if he's not very well known in the UK - he's huge !! Our whole family have been huge fans for years and looking forward to seeing him... Not very well known. He is certainly huge at home and more so since Comic Relief I cant wait to see him either and he is from my neck of the woods so even more special :-) No, the bloke said he wasn't well known in the UK - I can believe he's not well known here...

Off topic, but DR, do you know where you can get that tile cleaner from please? (Nothing sinister). Our wonderful cheapskate developers selected the cheapest tiles which aren't sealed and are therefor porous and absorb all the dirt that touches them. omg yes, off-topic ... from the murder of a poor, unfortunate woman to the most effective tile cleaner (that can burn a person's face off).

wow !! I thought no baby ever had enough clothes !! I had lots of things given me when mine were small and I admit it wasn't all in great condition but I appreciated the gesture and it meant I was able to afford other treats as they got bigger...and lets face it - they grow so quickly they don't get enough wear out of most of their wardrobe anyway... but if it makes you feel better to let off steam on here fine....having a new baby can do that to you :D
