Just book Wtnn you can never go wrong. It is a beautiful resort and probably one of the most expensive room rates, but worth for every penny - especially for a special occasion... The pool, restaurants, theater, casino, rooms - everything is very nice. If it is pricey , you can try Trump , which is good but it's a hotel and not a resort and hs no casino.. If you want to mid strip then another hotel with no casion is Vdara, it is very nivce and modern.. If you have to then Cosmopolitan , its good but casino is so so... All others to visit, bit worn out properties.. If you are having a break its one thing if you are going for gambling, you might want to stay hotel where you know the gambling is good... Many people just go to cheap hotel spend all their money for gambling - for what you can get in Las Vegas, it is quite old fashioned way actually .. but matter of choice... you can go for a nice hotel, have some good dinners for foodies and have shows to have great week and return back with not gambling at all... :)))

Maximuscle supposedly has no additives... I quite like the taste. The shake with water is quite good and very low calorie... if you are in a hurry , you can have ready made maximuscle milk shake which is 100 calories higer than the sake with water... good for travelling and if you do not have time or in the office. Their chocolate orange bars is also fine , however not appealing for rme , I neither like chocolates nor ornges and combination makes me almost sick... but they have chocolate only one, which is again higher in calories. edited by DRey on 11/03/2013 edited by DRey on 11/03/2013

I have been to KSA number of time for business. I travelled most of times alone , only few times with my colleagues. If you do have obtained a business visa , you do not need have any chaperone or somebody to sponsor you. It is correct that Riyadh is much more conservative than Jeddah and Dammam. Many times my colleagues based in KSA said that I do not need to covery my head, I actually do simply avoid any issues during my time there ,whether in the customs, airport, during meetings or restaurants... Unless you go -woman only- places, I would recommend to wear your abaya and sheila all times especially if you are traveling alone... I have been treated by my colleagues and business partners very professionally , I think many people appreciate the effort of a woman travels to KSA... For business meetings, I always have abaya and sheila, simply I do meetings with lots of local people, despite they do see me in my normal office wear , when they visit our offices in Dubai. I basically want to respect their local rules and regulations. During the flight many people have abaya but not cover their heads. When they land they all get covered pretty much, local or european.... I would not recommend to take a taxi, if you are vsiisting for business, make sure your contacts arrange the hotel to pick you up from the airport... If you never been to the place it is always safer to take the transport from the hotel. I actually liked Riyadh both the city and the airport much more than Jeddah. Jeddah has a terrible traffic and the airport is always busy...

Internet banking is the most ridiculous one... positive one, you can see you credit card statement , the rest is just a pins and pins and more pins... even a simple transaction takes so long... you need to change all your limits , because they practically put ridiculous ones in to the system for 3rd party payments... so now we need to go to the branch and make the requests for changes... my joint account is not mentioned in the internet banking either, so I need to ask them to correct that one as well... edited by DRey on 16/02/2013

I practically don't go to movies, there is no enforcement about age restrictions and I really had enough... The most amazing thing is that all parents think that their kids are wonderful and well behaved.. :))) I bet none of them would be happy when they go out for some quality time as a couple, leaving their kids behind and have to put up with other children, their bad behaviour and noise... edited by DRey on 13/02/2013

Diyas, it depends how old you are and where you are with your life... the main issue is people do not start saving earlier days simply believing that they do not make a lot of money and that's what makes the situation so difficult later stage... •Start - at age 20, and you need to save 11.1% of annual income for life. - At age 25 you need to save 15.4%. - At age 30 you need to save 21.4%. - At age 35 you need to save 30.1%. - At age 40 you need to save 43.2%. It just gets worse from there, so that if you do not start saving until age 50 you need to save every dime you make. This is just one person’s model, and it all becomes much more feasible if you ratchet down expenses. So for someone who starts in their twenties retirement saving is not that hard actually... if you are in your thrities, 30 % is a must... For longer term savings keeping cash is not an option, you need to convert it to property which may bring some income and tools liek bonds get some additional value and security for you... At any given time to have one annual income in the bank especially in your late thirties (as much as it sounds weird to many people in the forum) is a very resonable thing , especially for us living in Dubai where we do not have social security, health coverage etc... I know so many people who went through tough times due to redundancy, health problems, which requires an immediate cash etc etc andthe saving they made practically support them to get through and live without a debt... I agree with Feefmick , there are lots of people who can not save a dime for right reasons and there are times in everybody elses life, that the expenses are higher than other years which does not allow them to save.. The key issue is that you conciously follow the progress and draw a line, where you have to change your circumstances, eg getting smaller - before the circumstances dictates you... I know it is not easy - you are right , especially in Dubai... but giving a try is the answer... Good luck. edited by DRey on 13/02/2013

It is very correct that it varies fromperson to person... The usual guideline is that your living expenses should not exceed 50 % of your income.. not sure whether this is possible with dubai lifestyle... The other guideline is at age of 35 you should have at least one annual salary as savings in cash (For first of all for thisngs like redundancies etc...) , at age of 45 you should have 3 annual salaries as savings and at 55 - 5 annual salary and at 65 - 8 annual salaries... this will cover a reasonably good retirement for both of you ... the savings you are making should help you to reach these targets... For education of your kids, I would suggest that you do buy monthly basis funds (However these days it will look slightly risky...) but thinking ahead of 10 - 15 years... In any case all your savings should be combination of things, cash, funds, property, land - number of assests... hope this helps.

Hi Irooni, this year for wall coverings the neutrals are more in trend and warm colours are quite preferential... bold designs are generally used in carpets, pillows or single chairs... It's is important to know what you already have and what are you trying to match with.. do you have brown curtains and white leather sofas and trying to match with walls or ? White sofa's are just an idea you have.... accordingly you need to look into combining them hot/cold... few ideas : http://www.benjaminmoore.com/en-us/for-your-home/artisan http://www.houzz.com/photos/living-room

it is a protocol of high intensity of interval training. Some gyms like Inshape in Jumeirah does tabata classes, which I attended and it helped me a lot... Any exercise can be incorporated into the Tabata training. However the basic outline of the Tabata training method are as follows: • 4 minutes long (whole Tabata Session) • 20 seconds of intense training • 10 seconds of rest • Total of 8 sessions or rounds if you can combine cardio and strength into 8 repetitions, you will get the best results. I am not sure how many kgs you can loose in 2 months, unless you are extremely overweight, you should not loose more than 1,5 kgs per month... I can only say tabata was for me the most efficient way of fat burning, that is for sure... edited by DRey on 04/01/2013 edited by DRey on 04/01/2013

design is a matter of taste, if you like it it does not matter how bold it is , you should go ahead. But the type of wallpapers in the link and especially combining them with 2 different coloured walls is already become outdated style.... edited by DRey on 04/01/2013

Living in an apartment seems always more convenient however everytime I think about the possibility of noisy neighbours, smelly corridors, prams and bycyles on the doorways etc, I am happy that I live in the villa.... Also fire risk in apratment buildings in Dubai is an increasing issue, since the facilities are not taking care properly due to the cost cutting- that scares me most....
