Thank you to all. Yes I do realise I'm almost there and will do as doctor says. But still reading all your responses gives me hope because some of you have carried on to nearly full-term as well, even with hypertension. DubaiCat thanks for your kind offer! We were both a little too worried last night so DH popped out and bought a home kit to test BP, may have to take with me to next hospital visit to ensure both monitors are on the same page because I dont think the readings are correct for some reason! Are you pregnant as well right now? Yep, 13 weeks. I'm trying not to think too much about the pre-eclampsia - I made it to 37 weeks (just) last time and the thought of it all happening again is not fun :\:. I find the readings on the home one lower than the readings on the machine one at the clinic, but more on a par with the manual readings the nurse does at the clinic. Rest up!

She saw her GP already who said she thought surgery would be the only option, but I'm sure a second opinion wouldn't hurt. I'll pass on the info to her. Then I can send her to be the guinea *** for when I can get mine sorted post-baby! :D Oh, heavens. She can be the small rodent with the porcine reference in its name. Can they actually do the surgery at the clinic, though, or would she need to go and see one of these doctors and get another referral? I know our other friend had to go to a clinic/hospital that did general surgery on-site.

She asked her GP but she could only refer her to men, and she says it's beyond natural remedies :(. Another friend of ours had hers sorted a few years ago by someone on Beach Road but if I remember rightly the doctor was a man. I looked at the Wellwoman site and they don't have a general surgeon listed :(.

The urinary alkiliniser drink sachets (preferably flavoured) are the best thing to soothe the irritation while you wait for the antibiotics to kick in and if you take them early enough can also sometimes apparently prevent things from getting that far. Probably you already know that though if you are prone :( There's one called Ural, green sachets and I think most pharmacists have them. Hope you feel better soon!

My BP was on the high side from around 20-ish weeks last time and I was induced due to pre-eclampsia at 37 weeks. I had protein in my urine from early on too, though. I can't remember the exact BP numbers but it was somewhere around 150/90. This time, it's been 154/71, 155/78 and 151/77 the last few times it's been checked and my doctor doesn't plan to do anything about it any time soon. For some reason, it shows up lower when the nurse checks it manually rather than on the machine :\:. I have a home BP monitor if you want to borrow it. I'm in Springs. ETA: I didn't start taking any medication to lower my BP until the day I was induced. <em>edited by DubaiCat on 17/05/2011</em>

I noticed this afternoon, signs put up saying 'Slow - Children crossing' and guys with red flags actually stopping the traffic! I think this must have annoyed a few people - I'm just back from big Spinneys and it was nutter central on Meadows Drive! A Pajero weaving in and out of traffic on the way down, then three cars racing on the way back. Absolutely mental. There'll be another accident before long.

I am trying - and I use that word loosely - to follow the Slimming World diet plan as apparently it's safe to do this in pregnancy. It might be worth a look if you feel that bad and want to try and control your weight. I can't say if it's helping me yet, as I haven't been doing it long and my interpretations of the rules are somewhat creative, but I know I feel slightly better for at least trying to 'do' something.

Eeeek, I'd be developing bursitis in both elbows and both knees if mine was like that! But I guess they all have their good points and their flaws. Or we'd have to trade them in ;). His coat's on a shoogly peg... it's 6.19 and DS is getting tired...

I have the Curve 8900 and I love it, it's the only one with the roller ball, but I don't think they offer it anymore. For what you're asking for, you'd need a basic data plan, you can find them all listed on the etisalat website. You don't need a post-paid account and can stay pre-paid and just make sure the credit is there to be deducted for your suscription every month. I can't comment on the Nokia because I don't use it. I just looked at your links again on the other thread. I'd put it on the back burner till these vouchers turned up! Thanks again for all your help. Once I get the small person who's currently throwing scrambled eggs and toast around the lounge to bed I'll take another look :D.

Are you a hundred million per cent sure? I nearly decked a sales guy in Jumbo earlier for being rude, incompetent and annoying - blame it on hormones - so I don't want to end up in the Bur Dubai Hilton for assaulting staff at Dnata when they tell me I do! :D

And this is where I get confused... :\:. Happens easily with technology. Chocs01 was really helpful last time I asked about BlackBerries, and she said I can get the internet on the BB with pre-paid top-ups. Is that what you mean? All I'll want to do is text, call, email and use instant messenger.

1. The alarm thing. I want to smack him upside the head with the phone. 2. His inability to put dishes in the dishwasher even though it's less than a foot from the sink. 3. His inability to see whatever he's looking for, despite it being bang smack in front of his face. 4. His inability to complete a job properly. Tidy up after dinner? That means clean the sink too, and wash up the big bits that don't go in the dishwasher. Bath DS? That means put his dirty clothes in the washing basket, put dirty nappy in the bin, empty bath and put away toys. Do the washing? That means empty machine when finished, hang out clothes, remove from line and bring inside when dry. I could be here all day. Why can't they just be perfect like we are? :D

As far as I'm aware, folic acid is only recommended pre-conception and in early pregnancy to prevent birth defects - I'm not sure it helps to conceive at all. I was prescribed Clomid as I had low progesterone so my doctor couldn't confirm I was ovulating. I got the prescription and put it away, planning to have a three-month break and then start trying with the Clomid when I'd give myself a bit of a rest. A month later I was pregnant. I still have it if you want it to sit in your cupboard for a while :D. If you're worried it might dry CM, try to get hold of some Preseed. It's meant to be the ideal lubricant to help the little swimmers along. I'm not sure you can get it here - it wasn't available when I was looking for it - but I'm off to the UK at the beginning of June and if you want to get some ordered to my Mum's, I'm happy to bring it back for you.

Jim Will Fix It - 800 FIX - sorted ours last week but I called on Sunday and they couldn't do the job till Tuesday. They could have done Monday if it had been a smaller job but the guy thought it was the fan motor and that took longer than just a regular service and fix. if you're stuck, I have a pretty powerful fan you're welcome to borrow. I'm in Springs 1.

Ah, OK. I think it was Larnaca-Malta when I was crew. In that case, the bag should be in Dubai, right? Ask the ground staff as soon as you land and they should be able to direct you to the lost and found office. Hope you get it back!

I got mine off with acetone polish remover. I soaked cotton pads in it and put them on the end of each nail, then wrapped foil around them and left them for 10-15 minutes. I didn't scrape them with anything at all. I doubt I'd get it done on my nails again, though. I've found they're a bit weaker and peel more easily since I had it.

I can't remember the exact routing but I have a feeling the Larnaca flight goes somewhere else after LCA. Your bag should have been found by the cabin crew when they did their checks after all passengers disembarked, though, so it [i'>should[/i'> be at LCA airport still. Perhaps see if your hotel can give you the number for the Emirates office at LCA airport?

Feet are well and truly up and take-out has just been scoffed :D. I went to the doctor over the road in the first instance, just to see what was happening, but I felt much better after I'd seen my own ob/gyn. Hope you get the same reassurance tomorrow.

That would be me and it was a) incredibly reassuring and b) super-helpful! Are you a negative blood type? If you are, check with your doctor if you need an Anti-D injection as you were bleeding. I had some bleeding this week (12 weeks pregnant). I saw my doctor and she scanned me and saw that a corner of the placenta had come away, but said that it would likely resolve itself. I'm now on Cyclogest to keep everything relaxed in there. Feet up and rest.

A plain white one was 750, the more ornate ones were just under 1200 each. These are last year's prices so may have changed. Lights and extension rods are extra. As CP says, they are a good quality brand and very quiet. Lovely, thanks!
