Big pants, big pants, big pants. I knew DH was the one for me when he said, "What's wrong with big pants? Wear what's comfortable!" *Applauds wildly* I could show home movies on mine. :\: My ex-DH used to refer to them as apple-catchers. I'm pretty sure these days melon-catchers would be more appropriate :D.

Is it their premium economy, same as BA and Virgin? If so and it's affordable, why not? BA and Virgin premium economy cabins have a little more room and a few other extra perks.

I thought it was just me! Mine was awful when I was still BF but since I stopped, it seems to have eased a bit. I'm still super-cranky before a period, though, and get upset really easily and have no patience whatsoever. I found taking St John's Wort helped when it was really bad, but I haven't tried anything else yet. Exercise also helps make me feel more positive, too.

When we were trying to get DS to sleep through the night we reduced the amount we gave him at this feed until he just didn't bother waking up. We initially planned to reduce by 5ml every 5 days, but I accidentally dropped the bottle one night so we ended up reducing it by 30ml in one night and from there, it was only about two or three more days before he stopped waking up.

Bettyswallocks................god how original. ...or Ivor Biggun, Maballsa Richie, Mixe Oxlong and so on :D. A friend of mine once commandeered the PA system on one of those ferries that go from Dover to Calais. Had the rest of the stag do crowd in stitches asking Mr Mike Hunt to make himself known to one of the crew. I must ask my brother to remind me of the rest of the names.

Day 2 level 2 just done and I'm amazed to report it was ever so slightly easier than yesterday! The evil Jillian still kicked my butt, but not quite as squarely as she did yesterday :D. Shame about your op, CT. Can you still do a bed-bound version of the Shred? ETA: I think it might have been slightly easier due to me visualising bashing the Du man over the head repeatedly with my little pink weights. edited by DubaiCat on 16/02/2011

Are they skint?! I have just had a call from them telling me the billing section say I do owe them 1199dhs. So the other two staff who told me - separately - that I didn't owe them anything were wrong. If they want paying for that, they'll be getting a bill for DH's time when he had to come home and look after DS today so I could go to Du. edited by DubaiCat on 16/02/2011

I just checked BA out of interest as I planned to book with them in January when they had a sale. I forgot, and ended up booking the day after the sale finished and paying 1000dhs more. The guy on the phone told me prices wouldn't go down again. Same route, same dates is now back down to the price I would have paid had I booked in the sale. Book Emirates - I hope BA goes bust!

Both times I called them they agreed there were no outstanding charges on my current account, and none on my previous account - which was from 2006 - and they even said they wouldn't have closed the account if there had been any outstanding charges. And today the lady said I should never have received the text and she apologised. If they change their tune tomorrow you'll all be able to hear it!

You are a gem. I also hate exercise with a passion, but I hate the shapoe I'm in even more. I'm away for the weekend so will see Cyclone T on Mon and then get going - I promise. If you need anything from the shops tomorrow - let me know and I'll drop it in. That's the way I feel exactly. I can't stand having to make the effort, but I can't stand the way I look even more! I was thinking about it the other day and it's so unfair (can anyone hear the world's smallest violin playing just for me?!). When I got to Dubai ten years ago I used to go to Scarlett's every week, drink like a fish, eat a whole plate of nachos for starters then quesadillas for main course and I weighed 14kg less than I do now. I did no exercise and I ate what I liked even when I wasn't in Scarlett's. Now, I'm exercising every day, out walking the dogs every day, lugging ten kgs of baby around every day, eating low-GI and I've never felt so fat, unattractive and invisible in my life. Thanks so much for the offer but DH is due back in the early hours of the morning so I'll be OK :). edited by DubaiCat on 15/02/2011 edited by DubaiCat on 15/02/2011

Good luck with the Shred then! I am the worst at exercise and I hate, hate, hate having to make the effort but I've only been doing it ten days and as I said earlier, my friend told me today she can see the difference. So there's a bit of inspiration for you! Re the Quality Street, they are a lifesaver today. DH is still away so I can't just pop out to the shops, so I had leftover chicken casserole from the freezer and it was like roadkill. A nice cup of tea and a couple (just a couple, honest) of QS will sort me right out. Just let me know when backside-kicking is required!

Oooops, I was thinking about trying this, and the first thing I notice is that DC is trying to lose weight and get fit - sorry for getting the chocs yesterday. Can I buy the DVD in Dubai? If so, whereabouts. TIA Please DO NOT apologise! I am exercising my willpower as well as my backside and I've only had a couple! And besides, we all need a little reward every now and again ;). Everything in moderation! You can download it from www.exercisetv.tv or you can pop back 'round to my house for a cup of tea and see if it accidentally falls off my laptop onto your flashstick :D.

I had a call from Du earlier telling me I owed them money. Unfortunately the 'gentleman' refused to give me any details as to why I owed them money or for what address but insisted I had to co-operate with him and visit a service centre in person. When I said I refused to visit anywhere without being told why it was thought I owed money he told me "I am getting angry with you". Lucky it was a phone conversation otherwise he may have been digesting teeth. edited by Sanddy_Dogg on 15/02/2011 Hmmm, interesting. I had an SMS from a company called Al Wasl International on Saturday telling me I owed Du 1199dhs and I had to pay within three days or face legal action. I've called Du twice and both times they've said I don't owe them anything, and the account number mentioned on the text was one I closed years ago. They said they wouldn't have closed it if there was a balance outstanding. I'm waiting for this Al Wasl outfit to call me back tomorrow. Something tells me I haven't heard the end of it but are they just trying to dredge up every last fil they can at the moment?

I was so disappointed, because just before I did it today a friend told me she thought I'd lost weight and looked more toned, and I was so pleased! Then I got my period (which is yet another thing I loathe since DS was born) and I did my Shred and felt like rubbish. There is hope! :D

I worked for EK as cabin crew a few years ago. When I had my interview, we were told to wait six weeks to find out if we'd been successful. Eight weeks later I hadn't heard so I called them. I'd got the job, but they'd forgotten to tell me. That might give you some kind of idea! :D

Day 1 level 2 and I have never felt so unfit in my life. I was really enjoying level 1 - well, as much as I'd probably enjoy having my eyes gouged out with a blunt spoon, given that I have a pathological loathing of exercise - but I absolutely hated today. It was so hard and I gave up on more exercises than I finished. I feel fat, unfit and ugly and I am sorely tempted to go and buy a fat person wardrobe and just sit on the sofa and wallow. *skulks off to have a shower and bawl* edited by DubaiCat on 15/02/2011

You are welcome DC, sorry I didn't actually meet you. If Oscar ever goes walkabout I just hope and pray someone like you would find him and look after him till I could collect him - although I'd be there in minutes not days! Sorry, I had to pop out. Level 2 day 3 complete. I really worked hard today and can now feel all the muscles in my back when i move! I too see changes around the tummy, but I am still concerned that although the tummy seems to be toning, this is making the baby belly stick out even further. Does anyone else have this problem, or is it just me? I thought this when I first started doing it. I spoke to a friend who is a trainer and she said not to do too much of the lower ab stuff, as these muscles need to stay soft until they close together again. I'm waiting for a referral to a physio as I have diastasis from my pregnancy and I don't want to screw things up further, but I'm carrying on with the upper abs for now. I wish the baby belly would just beggar off :(.

I always feel like that when someone makes that kind of comment, especially when I think I've actually lost some. I guess they just don't think about how their comments will affect you, or maybe it's just not rude in their culture. I wonder if we could argue that a smack upside the head isn't rude in ours.

Response from the ref (who, rather charmingly, calls me Chunk): Wow Chunk that is some classic golf rules terminology from you, so I guess it's not really you asking that!!! haha However in equity (rule 1-4), saliva (gob!!) may be treated as either an abnormal ground condition (rule 25-1) or a loose impediment (rule 23-1), at the option of the player therefore entitling the player to relief without penalty!

You do not have a fat belly. I have the 30 Day Shred on the Mac, and apparently you can save it to a flashstick but we might need some help from a Mac expert to do this as I am a Mac idiot. Or you can download it from www.exercisetv.tv for $10. You do a 30-minute workout every day for 30 days. That's it. It's hard work (for me) but I really, really love the way I feel afterwards and I think it's starting to make a difference. I'm on day 10 level 1. Check the fitness board, there's a February Shred Heads thread on there :D.

No. And no, but the lady who called me first asked her and she hadn't. I'm just about to call K9 and DARC to say he's been found, and I'll pass on his address in case he's found again. Cecile has just helped us get DS from waking anything up to every 45 minutes at night to sleeping through with a dream feed, in the space of less than a month. I can honestly say she has saved my sanity so I can wholeheartedly recommend her.
