What's Friends of Animals? I put an ad on Dubizzle but I was worried about putting a picture up there in case someone tried to claim him but he wasn't theirs.

I've been calling the office at the mall but they're not answering, and I can't see a number for the security department :(.

Weird! So they left him outside the mall not tied up or anything? He must be somebody's, because he is a little on the plump side and he definitely had dog biscuits for breakfast this morning (most of which are currently stuck to the fabric in the boot of my car, along with some regurgitated chicken bones). I'm trying to get hold of 7Days to run a story but as he's not chipped I'm not sure what else to do. Mall security has my number in case anyone calls, I'm in the process of sending his picture out and K9 have him on their list. Any other suggestions?

The problem is bits have fallen down in the gaps where the back row of seats was lying flat. There is currently a half-digested chicken bone down one of the seatbelt holes. Yuck!

But it'll need shampooing and - somehow - all the bits of barf dug out from all the nooks and crannies! Will they do that?

He thought it was great, but our two dogs thought it was better! I don't think it's so great. He blew chunks all over the boot of my car so now I need to have it cleaned :(. And he's not microchipped, so I have no way of finding his owners.

DS was passed around like a prize ferret when I was at the clinic having his jabs recently. But if he'd been sleeping, I'd have swatted them away. Fair enough if he's wide awake and wants to play but what's that saying - never wake a sleeping baby?! I know exactly what you mean. If it happens again, ask if the person also wants to hold her when she starts screaming blue murder because she's been woken up. And tell them she tends to projectile vomit when she's been screaming blue murder for a while.

Waxy's used to do ladies night on a Thursday - go there at your peril though. I used to be a Waxy's regular pre-DH and DS. At your peril indeed, but did I ever have some fun nights out there!

DS was up half the night then I had a friend over for the day and now I have a thousand words to file by tomorrow so I have not Shredded today. I am not happy about this. I have 1kg weights but I also have a pair of those weights you attach to your wrists. Can I use both? I feel like the 1kg ones aren't doing much.

Be as blunt as you like but why is it poaching if the maid is working for a company and has completed a contract? :\: Anyone have any experience of this? My friend really likes this girl and would be happy to have her live with them. All the maids she's met through the agencies who place FT maids haven't been a good fit with her family. ETA: It'd be headhunting if she were a marketing manager and not a maid ;). edited by DubaiCat on 09/02/2011

Day 7 level 1 done today. I managed to keep going on many of the bits I normally find hard so I'm really pleased. That is such a brilliant feeling isn't it? [i'>I sound like Jillian (isn't it, isn't it, isn't it :D)[/i'> It is! I'm cursing her and her irritating skinniness one second, and the next I'm telling myself 'I want to be trim and I'm feckin' well gonna be!' A few times I've found myself 'phoning in' a couple of seconds of jump rope but I did it all today. Yeah.

It took ages for my fingers to go back to anything resembling their pre-Will size. And I mean AGES. Even when all the water retention from the pre-eclampsia went, when I'd lost 20kgs in 8 weeks, my rings still wouldn't fit. And the weirdest thing was that it felt like they wouldn't fit over the bone, not that my finger was too puffy!

I have visitors tomorrow so we can't make it but I'm definitely up for going next week. They do nursery rhymes every day at 11 and the one in Ibn Battuta has a ball pit too, so I'd like to try that one. We're going to Mini Monsters on Saturday for the Fairy Godmother meeting so I'll have a better look at the facilities there too.

I think she was 75th when she was born, so she's dropped considerably if she's now between 15th and 25th :(. My sister took her to the doctor today and he suggested test-weighing her to see how much she's taking, so she contacted the health visitor to arrange this as the doctor said. The health visitor said they didn't like doing this and told her just to come to the baby-weighing clinic on Thursday. I wish I was home so I could go with her and point out it's god s0d all to do with what they do or don't like doing! Grrrr. ETA: I spoke to my sister today and she was really down. She discussed the issue with her DH and do you know what his suggestion was? Put her on formula. I'd have smacked him myself if I was there. edited by DubaiCat on 08/02/2011

I just read the thread and am really inspired to start this - can anyone tell me if i need to change my diet? That depends on what your diet's like now! If you're not already doing it, why not combine it with a low-GI diet? Or just basic healthy eating, I guess. Day 7 level 1 done today. I managed to keep going on many of the bits I normally find hard so I'm really pleased.

If you have an old tea-towel you don't use any more, cut four holes in it roughly where you think legs would go. Stuff one leg in each hole and tie up at the back. I did this once to stop one of mine biting her stitches from surgery and she went as limp as a rag doll! Looked at me like I was murdering her, to be fair, but that was the one and only time I managed to cut her nails.

We have a Maxi Cosi car seat with FamilyFix base and it hasn't damaged our leather car seats. My only suggestion for avoiding shoe marks would be to take his/her shoes off while in the car ;).

I went to Peekaboo at MOE this morning. They have a little cordoned-off area for under-2s which has padded floors and walls - great for my LO as he is somewhat adventurous! It was 20dhs for an hour. They didn't have a great deal of good toys, but they did do a little nursery rhyme session which he loved. So it was worth it.

When I was pregnant I read you shouldn't sleep on your back over 16 weeks because baby puts pressure on the main blood vessel taking blood back up to your heart. edited by DubaiCat on 07/02/2011

My sister is concerned DD3 isn't putting on as much weight as her two siblings. She's 17 weeks and 5.68kgs. I just found the WHO weight chart online but I'm not sure if it's the one that's been adjusted to suit BF babies - does anyone have a link please?

I had a Baby Bjorn Synergy and a Close baby carrier. Both were good but for tiny babies, I think the Close was better. They're super-snug up against you and the carrier is just a soft, stretchy cotton. I'm not sure if you can get them here, though - sorry, that doesn't help much, does it?!

I have no clue. I took DS to the Fairy Godmother meeting and he had his first go in the ball pit - he loved it and I hadn't taken him anywhere like that before because I thought he was too small! I felt awful. We need somewhere that has soft mats and lots of baby toys. Or klee's living room if she doesn't mind the chaos! :D

Guys, I'm at day 3 of round 2 now and starting to see a six pack!!! Never had one before and have 4 kids! KEEP GOING!!! This has made my day. Honestly, I swore less giving birth than I did today - day 6 level 1. Maybe because DS was up at 11pm, 2am, 3am and 5am, but it was really, really hard. Bianca72's news has given me hope! Dr says I need to see a physio re the abs. I want a six-pack.
