Maybe the people you see having their photos taken with their bags are British?! In Britain, if you put your handbag down long enough to have your photo taken, by the time you were finished it would have been stolen!! So true ha ha, when i went home for my first visit i was extremely concious of not leaving my bag anywhere i forgot a few times and sat in a food court and put my bag on chair next to me until my mum re minded me i shouldnt ha ha However, for me my bag if i have it with me is used to hide lumps and bumps Lol

Plenty of vans around Manchester serving the finest Kebabs after a night out yum how i miss kebabs if you are in Manchester and looking for a super decent kebab try TopKapi on Deansgate my mouth is watering thinking about it :) We also tried the one in Discovery Gardens it was ok. For chiken kebabs the best place is by the york hotel on the corner near Burjuman it looks rough and ready and is always full of workers etc, but its the best chicken kebab i have had always have one after a night out in that area :)

I feel for you my DS had it from 4 months old hes 9 now and it moved from infantile to atopic stilhas it really bad gets flare ups all the time, saw a fab dermatologist at arabian ranches clinic, and water is the problem too many showers and baths etc or spending too much time in them we reduced DS shower time as he used to love standing in there for ages and we have seen a huge improvement, he also prescribed 4 creams that you mix together, keep in the fridge and apply. We use Fairy and its the only one that does not irritate him good luck but the key is to keep applying the cream even when there appears to be no flare up.

I read this in Arabian Business last week.... http://www.arabianbusiness.com/all-dubai-expats-pay-housing-fees-by-june-425660.html Why wouldn't they be charged? How is that fair? Anywhere else in the world, this would be backdated. It's just like the Salik Fiasco... all those people that never bothered to get the tag and then they waived all the fines. The idiots that did get the tag, well I guess they are just idiots ( Me included) As far as I know it isn't something you are asked to register for - we don't pay housing fee at the moment and it is not that I have made any effort to escape it, it has just never appeared on our bill and we have never received any correspondence from DEWA about it - so why should I be charged a huge backdated fee? The only reason I even know about it is from reading on here so if DEWA have made no effort to claim it from me then I don't feel that it is my responsibility. And seeing as my DEWA bills seem to be skyrocketing for some unknown reason (1150 last month for a 2 bed apartment and this definitely isn't including a housing fee) then I am even more glad that I am not paying it yet. Having said that I do think it is unfair that some people pay and others don't - it should be everyone or no one. I will pay it without argument when DEWA finally catch up with me! Im muchin the same situation, we rent form union properties direct and i have never been asked to sign up for housing fee, as you i only know from these boards but i am slightly worried that they may change it to say its being backdated and you have to pay it>??? Is the housing fee different if rented direct from the developers??

Derien, is your son in a new class with new children different from last year? I have seen this a few times, and know of two "options" which may be the cause. 1st - is your son playing or buddied up with a new friend at school whose behaviour could be rubbing off on your son? I would go to the school and speak to the teacher and find out. 2nd - could the teacher be the problem? If your DS is so unhappy at school and withhis teacher, this could affect his behaviour at home, is she telling him he is naughty and has behavioural issues as this could be drilling into him and having an effect, i would seriously make a meeting withthe teacher and the head of year / head of school and sit down with them, try speaking to some other mums see if they are having any problems too. Worth a shot, but as everyone else has said its important to try and get your littel one to tell you what the problem is, reassure him that he can tell you anything i always have a saying with my DS its far better to open up and tell the truth in the 1st place then to lie and be found out later it works for us he sometimes takes a bit of coaxing but he is generally honest with me. Good luck and hugs x

Fingers crossed im sure i will, she did say its not as uncommon as we think to have abnormal results a few times so we will see, i hate going but its got to be done have a little one to think about and so a few minutes of being uncomfortable and wishing the ground would open up and swallow me (Lol) is worth peace of mind if it is something a bit more that its been caught early and can be treated. :)

9 out of 10 test results are normal. About 1 in 20 shows borderline or mild cell changes. In most of these women, the cells will go back to normal by themselves. So the women will usually have repeat tests every 6 months until they do. They will only go on to have treatment if the cells don't go back to normal. CIN 2 or 3 If you have moderate or severe cell changes, or CIN 2 or 3, you will need treatment to get rid of the abnormal cells. You usually only need treatment once. Then you have follow up tests. If you do have an abnormal test and have successful treatment you are very unlikely to get cervical cancer (provided you continue being screened). If you do not have treatment, you are very much at risk from cervical cancer. I am still not sure whats going on with mine, i have had no treatment yet and will find out when i go back if i am going to have treatment to sort out the abnormality or if the cells have reverted to normal i hope so :(

I got offered the vaccine here by the GYN at Medcare, havent been able to have it yet as have had last few smears be abnormal so am still going every 6 months for smears (arrrgghh), she told me that if you have been with same partner for (i think it was 10 years) you should have the vaccine she didnt mention any age limit on the vaccine but i think the cost was around AED 700.

No pregnancy experience personally but did undergo extensive surgery last year and everything was perfect and fine, i would not have received the same treatment in my home country. i have 2 friends who have given borth here and have had no problems and everything was fine. On another note, personally, the distance and time away from my DH would drive me insane plus a long flight back here after the baby is born is another thing to think about. Good luck and congrats.
