I'm sorry but the only Wave I know of is the residential area? There may be some local type hotels with the same name in different locations, or, there may well be rentals by the week in furnished places at the Wave. If it is the wave, it's a little out of the way for local colour and experience and you would have to drive. Check the interconti...in our experience is the most reasonable, and central for a decent holiday break where you get to actually see 'stuff' Thanks it says Waves International Hotel? Will check out intercon

Thanks everyone, I might opt for Intercontinental or Waves? Waves is relatively new but not sure if there is anywhere that we could walk to nearby, we will be taking the car so its not much of an issue for getting around i just always feel like im on my holidays if i can walk out to a few different places for a nice stroll in the evenings Lol. We will be heading from Dubai and really looking forward to it but there is not much in the way of info on Oman. Also dont think waves has a pool? There were some others in my price range (i know its terrible but i dont want to spend a small fortune and some of the hotels i could have gone to thailand for a week including flights Lol) Al Falaj Hotel Muscat Holiday Hotel Thank you for the lovely offer ArorahDXB :)

Hi Gemma, Yes the main one is PBFD beak and feather disease its not fatal youmay get a few months to over a year or so before the Grey shows any signs but its a terrible disease for them :( I have to say that we ended up getting a Galah Cockatoo and we got her from AL Barsha Vetinary have allthe papers and she has been tested, she is a realy beauty although she is a little naughty but we are working with her and she is showing signs of calming down a bit. You should definitely give Nad Al Sheba Vets a call and speak with the vet he can give you some really good tips on what to look for and may even be able to tell you where to get a Grey from. After having both breeds i think the Greys are more tactile and willing to be held, touched etc but it may be because or Galah is almost 10 months old, we didnt get her from a baby like we did the Grey :( Good luck

Be very careful we got a beauty form a shop in Jumeirah she was ok we took her for tests she came back positive the shop were a nightmare when i went to them to tell them they told me to give her back and they would sell to someone else?? WE ended up having to put her to sleep :( we got the money back but no vet fees. Recently started looking again and curiosity took me to all the shops in DXB a well known shop of SZR had lots of cockatoos and greys i enquired about beak and feather disease and they told me 3 of the birds in the shop had it and i could buy the bird (grey) for 4500 AED seriously its madness here they were willing to sell me a diseased bird that would likely die i just dont know what goes on here :( Good luck, if you speak to nad al sheba vetinary they told me last year they were working with a breeded in Dhaid who had been breeding disease free birds for about 6 months and to check back with them after christmas and they would see about passing on the breeders details if he continued to raise disase free birds :)

Not a class thing or frequent flyer thing, we were economy never travelled with EK beforea and we got compensation with a free flight, i think it depends how firmly youstate its not acceptable? it is supposed to depend on how long after your original arrival time the replacement flight is due to get you in. Eg if you were flown to Heathrow instead of Gatwick and the bus to Gatwick was due to arrive within a couple of hours of the Gatwick flight, you wouldn't get the same compensation as if you were delayed for a long time (the flight could have been a couple of hours late anyway). All airlines have a policy in respect of compensation, don't think any of them say 'if they shout louder' :) Ok so we were due to go on the 0300 departure, they overbooked asked us to change to the 0755 departure same day, we got the compensation of a free return flight? Maybe we were lucky and we just had someone who couldnt be bothered with the lengthy discussion we were having :) :)

Yep happened at Xmas to us DS was flying back to UK got there and they told him there was no seat, furious was not the word they said they had given priority to people who had checked in online, they sent him back home and then rebooked him on a flight the next day. Luckily we argued and argued with them and got a free return flight for the next trip, stand by your guns.

Yeah they are quite good, also if he goes to see doc and has insurance i get a big supply on prescription and its covered so only pay 10% of cost, i get the tablets and the spray. Might be worth going to see doc about preventative medicine if they are very regular, i take topiramax and although the migraines have not completely gone they are definitely less than before, apparently its particularly helpful for people who suffer from visual impact when having a migraine, Good luck:)

Educational probably, my DS has same issues but he has dyspraxia and dyslexia, his school have been great, he is now exempt from arabic and foreign language and the time is used in learning support, We had a Ed Pshyc report done back home and the learning support teacher, who is training in ed phsych did a further one on him here, very impressed with the help and support he has received. Only stumbling block we may have is if he is still here for college he may struggle to get a place as he willhave no language certs i.e. arabic or french. Try an OT at Rashid Therapy called Jade (she is Australian), she was superb with my DS and could probably recommend someone to help 300 for consultation there,

I would love it for 7 days to offer a subscription i used to live in downtown and you could always pick up a copy in the lobby. I would pay for 7 days :)

Years and years of them numb stroke like symptons the lot. I carry Imigran nasal spray shoot it up your nostril and imigran tablets you can get over the counter, however, i would definitely go see the doc, i also take a preventative topiramax prescribed by the doc, does not make them completely go but i have to admit they are less than they ever were.

Please please please get a second opinion or wait it out. This happened to me i was bleeding very heavily (about 6-7 wks pregnant) scan showed what the doctors said was an empty sac nothing else. They offered me the same a D N C i refused, they said i would have to then come back in 2 weeks time. I waited it out 2 weeks went back for a further scan and lo and behold my little bundle was there at just about 9 weeks. Problem i had all the Pregnancy tests showed negative, it was only blood test that showed up positive but very low reading? It was the worst 2 weeks of my life but he is healthy almost 10 yr old now. Praying for you and a lovely outcome xxxx
