Hello again ladies! So happy there are more of us and so far I see all going to deliver @ City ! I haven’t even seen a doctor yet as I am on vacation but have managed to trace the doctor I delivered my first with (dr. Yulia). She is now at Cooper Health and delivers at City also. I am considering seeing her but this clinic does not do direct billing with AXA , only on reimbursement basis which is more of a hassle. I also had the cramping and gaining weight like crazy. I don't know what is it with me and weight during pregnancies :( I gained an insane amount of weight with my first one and although I really watch what I eat , I am active and all but kgs just pile up with the speed of light. I guess it's water retention and bloating but can't fit in my bras already and let's not even talk abt my jeans which are so tight around the belly ..

Congrats Pingu! maybe we will meet in the hospital in 8 month's time hehehe :) The strangest thing happened.. my belly is actually visible allready????!! How is that possible??I wonder if I could be more than 5 weeks cos surelly I shoudn't be showing so early, isn't it??

How cool :) :) Nope this is my second too, my first DD is now 4 and we've been TTC for 2 years now! Had to have fertility treatment so a bit nervous for my scan to see if it's one or two!!! I'm going on 9th August to Dr Elsa - you? I delivered my first with Dr. Yulia at City but just found out she left the hospital!! I tried to get an appointment with Dr. Elsa but was told she is fully booked till December???!!! I did ask for an appointment in December though. Meanwhile I will meet Dr. Ibrahim end of august as I am going on vacation in 2 days..Should I call the hospital and nag them into getting an apointment with Dr. Elsa earlier? How did you manage to get one so soon?

I have started to lose my hair 3 months after giving birth. DS is now 1 year old and I am pregnant again but the hair loss did not stop yet. I really hope the pregnancy hormones will kick in and bring back the beautiful, think and shiny hair I had during my first one. :)

I think maybe you're reading waaaay to much into it - it's gone totally over my head. Sorry but I don't see sausages as s.e.xual - that's just weird. hahaha me neither..but the other stuff it's interesting..after seeing those images/videos everytime I see a Disney cartoon I can' t stop wondering if those things are real and have been put there intentionally.

it has left me with a bitter taste in my mouth as this was my dream job when I came here and have been doing it for the past 7 years .This is certainly not the way I was expecting it to finish.. And to answer the poster who asked, yes, men do get subjected to the same treatment, and sometimes for less weigt than ladies. Let's say it's just a very very image councious company :) even though they have far bigger issues that alter their image other than the staff's weight :) But what is pathetic about all this is that I have often seen some 'questionable' staff members there, and what I mean by that is I knew one familiar face over the time span of approx 2 yrs and this person's weight did not change at all, which leads me to question, why is it ok for some and not the others, like you? So, so wrong!!! Look at it this way, they did not and do not deserve you!!! Shelly, I think you will not see that familiar face around for too long..at least not with the same weight..even though the bullying has been there foever , only recently (january ) have they started sacking people over weight, so it will take a while untill they get rid of all the unsuitable,overweight ones :))))

This is what we need, bullying over kilos!!!! I am really sorry that it is your dream job and you had to let it go, but this is for your best. you have 7 years experience that will help you be anywhere you wish, and if I got that right you have a good experience in a well known place so!!!! let's cross fingers that not all similar companies are **. I am just going to take care of my son and get some rest for a while :) .And most probably the kilos will come off too as I am pretty sure the stress they were putting me though was not helping either. <em>edited by Eli1979 on 21/07/2011</em>

I just quit my job yesterday because my company was bullying me into losing weight. I have a customer service job where I guess the image is important but I was never at an extreme unsafe weight that would hinder me in doing my job. The only reason I did put on weight first of all was because I had a baby a year ago and even thought I worked very hard trying all different diets and exercise the last kgs are just slow to get rid of. They have done monthly progress reviews of me losing the weight and I was told in no uncertain terms that I would be sacked if I didn`t reach their target weight. Now, we are only talking about 4 kgs here and I would have most probably lost it but I have decided to quit. I think no company has the right to treat anyone like that but hey, we are in the ME, they can do whatever they want.

Gosh, now I am really worried ....I am thinking a mortgage should be different as they have the house to reposes if I default. They even kept the title deed. What the heck will happen the moment I decide to leave Dubai? Anyone here with a Dubai mortgage that left Dubai without getting arrested ?:)

I think the plant is very attractive. I am in the process of starting a new garden and need hardy plants that grow well here. Has anyone seen this plant for sale here in Dubai? Thank you in advance. Hi ice7..i haven't seen this plant in any of the markets..i might have some seeds left .will check and let you know..This plant is from the same family as morning glory and moon flower which are hallucinogenic and i believe illegal here. This plant is not so bad but still toxic so careful if you have pets or small children.

Thank you everybody. My employer is a big government company. They already told me that because of the guarantee letter I requested for the mortgage, they will have to send the end of service benefits to the bank. The HR guy also told me on a personal note that it would be better for me not to call or mention resignation to the bank until the notice period is over. This got me worried. I mean I have a 25 years mortgage , surely they would not expect me to work for the same company or even be in dubai for the remaining of the mortgage???!!

I bought them in Houston, actually :) . There was a target on the same road as the Galeria , maybe 10 minutes drive from it. Can't remember the area but there was also a Walmart and some other nice shops around. Loved it!!! I am not american I just go there for work quite often. And i love Target too! :) Wish they'd open up one here .

I think I just found out what the plant is.. It looks like Ipomoea x multifida (Cardinal climber)...I bought the seeds from Target in the US and so far 4 of the packets have had the wrong seeds inside..I hope none of them are poppy or some other blacklisted stuff . I need a new gardner too :(( We have changed 3 of them since we moved in in march and each of them have either killed my lawn or put my bill up to 4 k by leaving the water on and going for a walk..I am so fed up, some days I feel like removing all the plants and grass and replace everything with tiles!!!! Does anyone know of a decent company that can take care proper care of a garden? I have tried calling Belhasa but they did not even bother to show up..Any suggestions?

yes, MrsMopp ,I mean the top of it, as it is way too sunny and hot during the day. I was thinking to use some kind of shade cloth or those bamboo privacy fences but can't figure out how that will look...

Can you tell me which section/ block or area ( i dont know what they call it sorry) is the next area that will be ready to move into and also which is the cheapest option villa please. Will be looking at min 3 beds or 2 with maids. Have driven round there and just cant figure it out! Looking to downsize and actually try and save some money this year! Will be ready to move July, i know its early but i need to give LL notice this month and dont want to move really unless i can save some money taking out agents fees, removal etc. Spoke to agents who are not really interested unless i moving today! but still they add prices up on whats advertised on dubizzle etc thanks hi there.. The Villa has only 4 bed houses and above, nothing smaller. They are all huge! The cheapest option will be the Mazaya A1 type which is a 5 bed plus maids with a pvt pool. they go for abt 125 K. I think the lanscaping has started in Phase 3 now, which is the area close to Dubai-Al Ain road and Skycourts (the big towers at the back of The Villa).

The pool does not add anything (or close to nothing) to the bill ,except ofc the initial fill up which is about 400 and the heater if you decide to use it. We are in a A2 for 2 months now and we have done the landscaping - abt 100 sq m of grass with sprinklers that go off 3-4 times a day plus drip system for like 100 plants and big trees, A/C on most of the time and also filled the pool. Our bill was 2200 dirhams for 2 months, housing fee not included. <em>edited by Eli1979 on 02/05/2011</em>

If you are looking for a Mazaya villa ,we are in RJ sector (aldea facing the main circle) and there is one A2 type which I think is available as I keep on seeing agents bringing in people for viewings. It does not have any FOR RENT sign outside so cannot give you any number. Try calling Helena from Landmark, I am sure she will be able to find out the landlord's contact. HTH

yeah, i think he quoted you way too much! go for the grass seeds. it worked like a magic in my garden. for just AED70 per box!!!! and it is sprouting non stop! i get it frm Dubai Garden Centre. the current grass turf laid by my garderner ,he actually messed up himself. he kept saying in 2 weeks the new grass will grow.. alas, i went and sort it out myself. and it is lovely now like a soft carpet grass! edited by tipahtertipu on 29/03/2011 may I ask how long did it take for the grass seeds to sprout?

My friends bought carpet grass from the plant souk behind dragon mart and it cost them AED11 psm they charged aed 100 to deliver it to the Springs and their grass is lovely. My husband however got dupped into plugs and it still hasn't grown properly 6 months later even though it's been fertilised. starsouthern, do you know how much did they charge to lay down the carpet grass? I would prefer to use the carpet grass as I have no patience at all :) I also as I bought some Zeoplant (soil additive to save water) which has to be mixed into the soil before laying the grass down. So the person that lays the grass down must also do this for us and be able to understand the instructions from the company selling this product.

Thanks everyone. We are at The Villa and it's true, I did feel like the guy was trying to steal money all the time. He even quoted me 70 Aed for a damas tree which cost 10 dirhams in Warsan! I have cancelled their service today and I now need to find someone to lay the grass asap. Is the grass they sell at warsan nice or will it dye in 3 months??

what kind of shade cloth did you use? Did you buy one from a garden centre or anything will do ? I want to make sure the plants do get enough sunlight but I am unsure of what to use to provide shade . I am going to try with pepers too.I also found a heat tolerant tomato variety , which I am going to try starting these days.
