Hi My daughter goes to Wonder Years Nursery which is right next to Victory Heights. Also, Emirates British Nursery is opening in Motor city in January and there is also Building Blocks Nursery. Plenty to choose from and VH is a lovely place to live and bring up children,

Sounds like it might be something else if it is not just palms of hands and soles of feet. Doesn't chicken pox sometimes manifest as mouth ulcers? Really?? Ill give the drs a ring then and see what she says. thanks

thanks ladies. she is itching and im trying to keep her mind off it. She doesnt understand not itching. Yeah, i am keeping up with the Adol for the fever and pain. I just feel so sorry for her. Giving her lots of cold liquids and yoghurts/ice cream etc. She has had a bit of breakfast but not much. Spots are spreading onto her legs and tummy. She must have a really bad dose of it! Dont know what to do for the best for her. :(

I think it depends on the age maybe? My DD is 18 mo and is going through her, lets say, vocal age! She does get told off but i think she is maybe a little too young to understand. Obviously if she carried on after being told off i would try and distract her with something or take her out to calm down.

It is at the junction of Beach Road and Al Manara Road. Next to the Municipality and Little Land Nursery if that helps. So if i go down szr and come off at the al manara junction this will lead me to the clinic?? I actually think its going to be a wasted journey and im going to be told to go elsewhere but hey ho!!!! grrrr

hi We are renting at the moment and my DH's company pay the rent. We are looking into buying a property and using the housing allowance to pay the mortgage. I just want to know your experiences of buying a house over here. Have you rented before and now bought? Do you wish you stayed renting? Its a big step to take so we want to know personal experiences before looking into it any further. tia

ok, i didnt give her any milk or snacks towards dinner time hoping she would be hungry enough to eat what i made her. No Luck!! So i did what kiwispers said and mixed half a jar with half of my food and she ate most of it!!!! Why didnt i think of that? So i suppose the next step is mixing less and less of the jars. Im also going to have a look at whats in the jars and work out the percentages to make my own meals for her that taste like the jars. She has her 15mo jabs tomorrow so ill talk through with the dr too and also make sure she isnt unwell. thanks all for your help. Lets hope she gets better at eating.

so start with making her fruity things like apple and pear etc and then gradually introduce potato to it?? Would this be enough for her diet though? Im giving her milk mid afternoon (cows milk),could this be filling her up? How much milk should she be having at her age? At the moment she has milk at 6am, then more with her breakfast, then 200ml mid afternoon and then the same again before bed.

Thanks FCM. I know, she always seems to be one step ahead of me!! She is clever! Thats the other thing i thought of.....starving her until she eats our food. The only thing is that she is sooo stubborn and she will probably be quite happy to go to bed with nothing and then wake up in the night crying as she is hungry! Talk about being stuck between a rock and a hard place!! Do i then leave her crying to the morning/she falls asleep again??

kiwispers, our children seem to go through the same things at the same time!!! Ive gone back to basics and started to puree the foods again but last night she was not interested!! grrr!! She is teething and she does have a bit of a cough at the moment so maybe this has something to do with it. Ive even tried putting my food in an empty jar but she has worked that one out!! Cant wait to go home at christmas and get mum to help sort her out!!

My dd is going to be the youngest in school year (born 31st august). We were debating when to send her to school - keep her in the year she should be or delay her a year. I spoke to a teacher in the UK where we are from and she said that if we were to go back whilst my dd was still in education she would go in the school year of her age so on that basis we have decided to put her in the school year that she should be.

yup buttercream or ganache (ganache tastes nicer) don't wet the smoother (yup thats the official name) if if you're talking about smoothing fondant icing. If you plan to make more cakes in the future may as well invest in a proper smoother, the right tools for the job make a difference. I just borrowed a bunch from a friend to make my son's first birthday cake and after using them promptly headed off and bought my own, figure I have many years of cake making in front of me. PS I recommend a practice run if you have time, its harder than it looks and if you are colouring the icing do it the day before and use the thick icing gels rathe than liquids if possible! Oh Crikey!! I dont think ill get time to make a practice one!! Also, i dont think i could eat a full cake on my own!! Where will i be able to get hold of the icing gel? I presume i just put a bit on the icing and knead?! Oh dear, am i in way above my head??!!!!
