It is an anxious time, about ten years ago I found a lump which was painful and felt huge. My GP saw me straight away and was concerned enough for me to have screening within the week. It was the longest week of my life, I was terrified and just couldn't think of anything. I saw the hospital and they aspirated it and fortunately it was a clear yellow fluid. It has never returned. Sorry I can't offer any better info or say anything to put your fears to bed. I am sure there will be other ladies with advice, it is good they have identified it and being treated, chin up, try and keep busy and all my very best wishes.. edited by emlsnre on 10/04/2012 <em>edited by emlsnre on 10/04/2012</em>

Is it just me or have the prices gone up quite a lot recently? i've just started looking for a 4 bed villa. A few months ago they were quite cheap but they even want 170K for a three bed now. I noticed that House Hunters estate agents seem to have infiltrated the area. They always seem to want top dollar - do you think they're just pushing prices up? We thought that too, and one wanted 10% deposit...

I've found a recipe on line that looks easy and I'm going to try making them. Our dd had one of the vtech robust cameras but has outgrown it now. She loves taking photos so we opted for a proper camera for her 7th, we went for a nice pink canon think it was 399dhs.

I went 20 years ago, the journey to resort showed how poor they were, but always smiling happy and very well educated people. The hotel was bliss and as already said probably the best beaches I have seen. We stayed in Santa Lucia, did an island trip to Cayo which was stunning but put me off ever going in a helicopter again!

I recently checked with DKC, this is the reply. We decided not to risk it just in case.   You're able to drive to RAK or Fujairah without a problem but as it's the same country. About Oman, this is a different story, for entry into Oman you're required to gain a UAE Health Certificate and Re-entry Permit from the UAE Ministry and then an import permit from the Ministry in Oman. To come back into the UAE, you will need to gain a health certificate from the Oman Ministry. Although I strongly advise against it as you could put yourself and your dog in hot water, many people drive through the boarder gate without gaining this.

We have the same clause and our landlord is also trying to increase rent, so a definitive answer on "landlord discretion" would be useful We were worried last year because of this clause. RERA told us that unless contract specifically stated non renewable we had every right to renew on same terms etc. And even if we did nothing the contract would automatically renew as it did not state no renewable. The contract stated we had to give 60 days notice of intent to renew, which we did. I do wish there was some continuity on what they advise people.

Check whether your lease has a clause in it dictating whether it can be renewed "at the Landlord's discretion". If it says that, he [i'>can [/i'>ask you to leave after one year. He cannot increase the rent however if the RERA calculator says he can't. Both these facts have been checked by me with a RERA representative. Thats interesting, we have this clause in our contract and last year after RERA checked it, they told us the LL couldn't move us on.

It will only allow selection of "Bur Dubai" or "Deira" for main area when I tried to use it! If you select Freehold, does it not then bring up other areas for you to select?

Have to say when our folks come we cover everything, but my folks always try to pay for something. My mum can get quite ferocious about it. But the fact that they offer makes a huge difference. Plus my mum has a huge cleaning fetish which is great as we don't have a maid. Cymraes, I think you don't live too far from me, so any time you need to escape please come and join me for a cheeky G & T! Hope DS is better soon.

Another thumbs up for Mike at Animal Airlines, we used them UK side and then Dean from Dubai Kennels and Cattery here. Both were great, and although I was a nervous wreck my two boys arrived very relaxed and hapoy.

Does anyone have an idea of the cost of building a swimming pool? We are thinking of building one in our back garden but we renting the villa so not sure if it's really worth it. The LL has given permission and we only want a small to medium size one. And any recommendations on companies would be greatly appreciated. Thx all Silver Fox Pools do a 7 x 4 for around the 100k figure. Know a few who have used them and are of a nice quality.

Just ate at Table 9 and could not recommend it enough. The food was out of this world and would recommend it for your VIP's, it truly is an experience and not just a meal if you go for the 7 course menu with the accompanying recommended wines. We will def be back in a few months when we have guests over. Yes fantastic restaurant, we love it. Apparently they changed the menu, another excuse for us to go back (not that we need any lol) Well the oldies are coming.......if I can convince him in doors to get a sitter.... Is that a good enough excuse to go back?

I had mine out about 7 years ago and I haven't noticed any weight gain problems-- in fact a few years ago I lost about 10 lbs and am pretty slim. I do have some trouble digesting high fat foods but as I'm mostly veg it doesn't tend to be too much of a problem unless I completely over indulge. Showoff...:)

Mine too was middle of the night didnt know what was going on i have never been in so muchpain, went to docs told me trapped wind come back in a few days if its still the same so i did got referred to specialist on the thurs was in hospital on the sunday having it removed. I cant eat many things i could before and i am the same as OP cannot shift the kilos even though i have the most delicate bowl (lol) since having this op its a nightmare, i tend to not eat out much as soon as i have eaten i get stomach cramps and sometimes have to literally run to the bathroom. Getting off track sorry but i too cant shift the weight :( Had my GB out 2 years ago . It is called 'dumping syndrome' and you are not alone...;) Less dumping mor EXPLOSIVE. (sorry getting far too detailed now) Ha ha me too its not good :( x Sorry for you, but at least we are not alone...

And ditto with the eating, cramps , and the quick shuffle to the bathroom.... Didn't really want to diet, exercise 3 times a week and don't have an unhealthh diet as it is.... But the weight doesn't change.. Had my GB out 2 years ago . :(:(

Mine went in the middle of the night... Never had any problems previously. Absolutely the worst pain ever, I thought i was having a heart attack! Anyway, they whipped it out, and I haven't despite exercise been able to shift the extra weight

Has anyone taken their dog with them? My in laws have 5 dogs of their own so he would have lots of company. It's just that I'm worried their bad habits will rub off on him, lol. He doesn't bark, not even when the door bell rings and they do little else. It's terrible when you enter the house and all the dog go nuts... I am just not sure what to do. I have just spoken to a lady who has kennels and she seems very nice, also it wasn't very expensive, but I don't like the idea of my little guy 'locked up' for such a long time. Do you know anhone you would trust to house sit? 4 weeks is still a long time to be in a kennel, my friend took her dog back with her last summer, but that was only to Turkey.

We were approached in the UK when our DD was very young, we decided not to go with it as the travellling would not have been fair. Shd isn't with an agency, but did do some work for Bloomingdales last year, just a one off. Most of our friends had gone, we had nothing planned so thought why not. The photographer, stylist, hair etc were brilliant, and she had the best morning with them. I would have been a nervous wreck on the stage, lights, cameras, strange people, but she was very comfortable, very well looked after and very well paid EVENTUALLY. It's not something I would encourage her to do on a regular basis but now and then and if it doesn't intefere with school then why not. So long as she wanted to do it and caused no stress.

I attended the most amazing wedding there 2 years ago. It was outdoors beginning of April. At the entrance after the parking we were get Ed a few dates and Arabic coffee and walked on a path with fairouz music playing and we could see the lights of the wedding.
